Chapter 13 Yin-Yang Twin Eggs, Gu Corpse Embryos
After spending another three years, Chu Yuan finally finished assimilating the rudimentary form of the Yin-Yang Laws he had comprehended. Only then did he rise and step into the Innate Yin-Yang Grand Formation.
To Chu Yuan’s surprise, this place was not some blessed land or celestial grotto. There were no rare flowers or exotic herbs, no spiritual roots or treasured mineral veins.
There was only a naturally-formed depression, extremely smooth and flat, nourished by the innate Yin-Yang energies for countless eons. And at the very center of this depression, lay two enormous, perfectly round stone eggs—each about the size of a person!
One of the eggs was pitch black like ink, its surface inscribed with mysterious innate Dao markings of the Yin attribute. It exuded an aura of extreme cold and absolute Yin, as though capable of freezing the soul itself!
The other egg was pure white like jade, its surface flowing with dazzling innate Dao markings of the Yang attribute. It radiated an aura of searing heat and absolute Yang, as though capable of burning all things to ash!
The two stone eggs lay side by side. There seemed to be some kind of mysterious connection between them. Yin and Yang energies intertwined and circulated around them, forming a subtle equilibrium.
What surprised Chu Yuan even more was the aura emanating from the two eggs—it was ancient, incomparably powerful, and supremely pure!
It was… it was the origin aura that only Chaotic Primordial Gods possessed!
“These… are… the residual eggs of Innate Primordial Gods!”
A vague guess surfaced in Chu Yuan’s mind!
His own origin was that of an Innate Spirit Jade turned sentient—considered a mid-tier Innate Primordial God. But the beings gestating within these two stone eggs—their origins were undoubtedly among the highest tier of all the Primordial Gods in the Great Desolation!
In an instant, an intense and fiery light flashed in Chu Yuan’s eyes!
The origin of Innate Primordial Gods!
If he could… refine them…
Especially, use them to craft Gu Corpses…
Gu Corpses forged from the residual eggs of Innate Primordial Gods—how unimaginably vast would their potential be?
How terrifying would their power become?
They might emerge with power at the level of a Taiyi Golden Immortal right after completion. With proper refinement, at least one would surely ascend to the level of a Quasi-Saint in the future!
This thought grew like a madly spreading vine, instantly entangling Chu Yuan’s mind so tightly that he could no longer suppress it!
Heaven-defying? Excessive compassion?
In the brutal world of the Great Desolation, where strength reigns supreme and the Dao is contested through force, such notions are utterly laughable!
The opportunity was right before him—if he gave it up due to so-called moral constraints, that would be true foolishness!
Chu Yuan’s gaze became firm and icy. He had made his decision!
He would start by taking one of them and refining it into a Gu Corpse to see how it turned out. As for the remaining one… he could keep it for observation.
Perhaps it could be hatched and tamed for his own use—or, if necessary, refined at a later time!
Having made up his mind, Chu Yuan no longer hesitated. He first set his sights on the white stone egg that radiated a pure, powerful, yang energy. He stretched out his hand, channeling his mana, and pulled the stone egg—containing infinite potential and the remnants of an innate demon god—into his grasp.
Conveniently, this place lay within a great innate Yin-Yang formation. Without deep understanding of its workings, even a Great Luo Golden Immortal would struggle to enter. Chu Yuan decided to act immediately.
He sat cross-legged on the spot, expression more serious than ever before, eyes fixed on the white stone egg hovering before him, exuding intense heat!
An Innate Pure Yang Demon God Egg!
He took a deep breath, clearing his mind of all distractions.
For a Gu Corpse of such exceptional quality, using the “Three Yin Gu Refinement Method” he had studied earlier would undoubtedly ruin its nature—a complete waste of its value.
He had no choice but to deduce a new method during the refinement process. He didn’t seek great success—only to make no grave errors!
First, he forced out a wisp of his own lifeblood essence and fused it with a drop of soul blood that contained the imprint of his primordial spirit. Then, wrapping it carefully with exquisite magical power, he slowly injected it into the white stone egg.
Buzz!
The stone egg trembled slightly. The innate source energy within, pure and masculine to the extreme, seemed provoked and suddenly erupted with intense resistance!
A scorching and violent force rebounded outward, nearly shattering Chu Yuan’s magical power!
But Chu Yuan had anticipated this. His expression remained unchanged as he immediately circulated his power, using softness to counter hardness, cautiously soothing, guiding, and refining that wild source energy.
At the same time, he continuously infused his own Gu Dao magical power and soul imprint into the stone egg, drop by drop. Time passed swiftly, like sand slipping through the fingers, amidst this intricate refining process.
One year, ten years, a hundred years…
In the blink of an eye, eight full centuries had passed!
Over these eight hundred years, Chu Yuan’s mental and spiritual energy had been pushed to the brink. He appeared visibly haggard. Yet his eyes remained bright and resolute.
Finally, on the last day of the eight hundredth year—
Buzz—!!!
The white stone egg floating before Chu Yuan suddenly burst out with an unprecedented, dazzling white light!
An immense and terrifying pressure erupted from within—so overwhelming that even an ordinary Taiyi Golden Immortal would tremble in fear. It was as if a primordial beast of ancient times had awakened, erupting from the stone egg and flooding the entire cave!
The innate yang-attribute Dao patterns flowing on the stone egg’s surface now seemed to come alive, shining brilliantly and radiating scorching heat—so intense it seemed capable of melting the very fabric of space itself!
