Even though there was plenty of time left, once others had finished their papers, she felt nervous.

About twenty minutes later, Wanda Wesley also left.

Several other classmates followed behind her.

The invigilating teacher furrowed his brows: "Don’t rush, after you finish writing, make sure to check through carefully. High scores aren’t just about finishing quickly. Some of those who left earlier may not have done as well as you."

These words had a soothing effect on the students.

Wanda, holding her pen, stepped outside, and as soon as she descended the stairs, she saw Chloe Collins standing there. She had two bags slung over one shoulder and was looking down at her phone in her other hand.

She quickened her steps towards Chloe: "Chlo-Chlo, are we leaving now?"

Chloe handed her bag to her for her to put things inside, then replied, "Yes, the car’s already here."

"But what about the teacher..."

"It’s fine. I’ve already handled it."

Relieved, Wanda nodded, and the two of them walked off.

The few students who had just come out watched them walking towards the main gate with envy: "They can actually leave already. Let’s go too, I’m getting bored!"

"You’d be silly to leave, I heard their requests for leave weren’t even approved!"

"They still left without getting the approval? They’re so bold!"

"Huh, nothing new. Those from our school have always been cocky! Let them be, they’ll be crying when they receive their low scores."

Meanwhile, Simon Griffin and few other teachers walked into the office.

One of the teachers picked it up for a look.

"Ah, aren’t these the papers we just distributed this morning? These were meant for the students’ self-study sessions these two days, how come they’re done already?"

"There are two copies here, from Chloe Collins and Wanda Wesley! How did they both finish already?"

"Teacher Simon, look at this, how cocky are they!"

That teacher carefully checked the two leave requests, then said: "They’re indeed from these two students, this is just outrageous!"

"Regardless, their papers are well done, I didn’t find any mistakes." Another teacher commented.

Simon picked up Chloe’s paper and glanced at it. Even though all the answers were correct, his face didn’t show any signs of happiness.

"Such students are simply too outrageous! Call Lilian Pearce!"

"But they have completed their tasks. Without any papers to work on, it’s pretty pointless for them to be here for self-study."

Simon looked stern: "Ms. Lewis, your way of looking at this issue is problematic!"

Ms. Lewis pushed up her round glasses, and said: "I just don’t want the students to be overworked, a balance between work and rest is important."

"Simon, what should we do now? Call them back?"

Simon was about to speak when suddenly his phone rang.

He glanced at it, saw it was a call from the investigation group, and went to pick it up on the side.

After a while, he hurried back, gave some instructions to the other two teachers, grabbed his car keys and left.

He also sent a message to Sherry Sullivan asking her to prepare to go to a meeting together.
