Chapter 75: Chapter 75 Children’s Puppy Love Problem
Chapter 75
The familiar scent of milky mint crept into her nose, and Chloe Collins frowned slightly.
What was he doing here?
Alexander Foster’s arrival made everyone present stand up in unison.
Mrs. Willis’s arrogance was instantly suppressed.
She turned her head anxiously and whispered in her husband’s ear, "Didn’t Rosalind Taylor say that the Fosters don’t like this girl? Why has Alex come here?"
Her husband was also shocked and quickly told her to be quiet and not say anything for now.
Yvonne Frost whispered a few words to the principal, and his expression changed dramatically. After glancing at Chloe Collins, he immediately escorted Alex to the main seat, but Alex didn’t sit down.
He cast a glance at Chloe, then coldly swept his gaze over the people in the room. With a frosty voice, he asked, "What happened?"
Just as Mr. and Mrs. Willis were about to say nothing had happened, the principal spoke first, "Mr. Foster, Mr. Willis is here to discuss the issue of puppy love among the children today. Chloe, who is quite pretty, has many boys confessing their love to her, including Mr. Willis’s son. Mr. Willis is worried that this will affect his son’s grades, so he came to discuss this matter."
Alex’s gaze fell on the documents on the table, taking in every word with clarity and his eyes darkening slightly.
The principal chuckled and handed the guarantee letter to him, "Mr. Foster, please take a look."
Alex didn’t take the letter but simply glanced at his watch, "Is it break time right now?"
The principal’s face changed, and quickly reacting, he said to Chloe, "Chloe, you should go to class first. Off you go."
"That’s not acceptable!" Mrs. Willis sharply protested, though her voice was laced with trepidation, impulsivity ultimately prevailed.
"She hasn’t signed the guarantee letter yet. She can’t go."
Despite Mr. Willis tugging at her, she didn’t change her mind. Instead, emboldened by having already spoken her thoughts, she said more bluntly, "Helen of Troy, the ancient saying for thousands of years is valuable experience. Chloe Collins, relying on her beauty, is affecting her classmates’ studies. In my opinion, students like her shouldn’t be here."
The principal pondered for a moment and then turned to Ms. Frost, "Ms. Frost, quickly take Chloe to class. Don’t let this affect her studies."
Startled, Yvonne Frost immediately regained her senses and hurried to Chloe’s side. "Chloe, let’s go to class."
Chloe glanced at Alex and got up to leave.
In truth, she was planning to leave anyway.
Even if he hadn’t come, it would have been the same.
Once outside, she stopped.
"Teacher, I need to go to the bathroom first. You can go ahead."
Yvonne Frost had already shown a completely different face, full of apprehension and carefully asking, "Do you want me to go with you?"
"No need." Chloe replied indifferently and headed for the restroom at the far end.
Since classes were in session, no one was inside.
She went in, washed her hands, and took off her hearing aid.
First, she heard Yvonne Frost’s voice, which hadn’t yet faded away —
"Oh my, Ms. Jones, let me tell you, this Chloe Collins from our class isn’t from an ordinary family."
"What?"
"Did you see Alex Foster just now?"
"You mean, Chloe Collins is a relative of theirs?"
"I don’t know the exact relationship, but when I went to see him earlier, he said he was a student’s parent. I asked for the name, and it was Chloe Collins! No wonder this student is so arrogant and disrespectful to teachers. It turns out she has such a big backer."
"Ah, a student’s parent, huh? He said this himself?"
"He said it himself! You know Alex is his brother, right? But we’ve never seen him come to handle any matters for his brother before. This time, he came for Chloe Collins. I guess, maybe Chloe is his father’s illegitimate daughter!"
