Chapter 66
On the other side, Rosalind Taylor, who was shopping with several other ladies, quickly received the message.
"Oh my!" She covered her mouth in surprise.
The three ladies beside her stopped when they saw her reaction.
"Mrs. Collins, what did you see that made you react like this?" Mrs. Willis asked.
Rosalind Taylor hesitated and laughed, "It’s nothing."
A lavishly dressed lady next to her slowly cast a glance at Rosalind Taylor, "If it’s not something indecent, you can tell us. If it is..."
Before she could finish, Rosalind hurriedly smiled and said, "You’re joking, Mrs. Foster. It’s not anything scandalous, just some mischief my child has gotten up to at school. It’s no big deal. Here, take a look."
With that, she forwarded the video in her hand to the group chat.
A few of them casually opened the video with a look of amusement. As the video neared its end, the faces of two of the ladies changed.
Only Mrs. Fowler, who covered her mouth and exclaimed in surprise, managed to contain her laughter with a look of amusement in her eyes.
"I knew my son’s grades had been slipping, and it’s all because of this Chloe Collins!"
"Oh dear, Mrs. Willis, it takes two to tango. If your son, Diego Willis, hadn’t been so interested, Chloe Collins wouldn’t have been able to get away with it." Mrs. Fowler said.
Rosalind Taylor chimed in: "I apologize, Mrs. Willis. After my sister passed away, this child has become uncontrollable. I didn’t know she would be so clueless. I apologize."
Mrs. Willis’s face was tight, and she snorted, "What good does your apology do? You should focus on disciplining your child. Otherwise, I’ll do it for you."
Rosalind Taylor looked distressed, "Mrs. Willis, you don’t understand. I’m helpless. The child isn’t living at the Collinses’ but at the Fosters’, and we can’t intervene."
As they talked, their gazes turned to Mrs. Foster.
Mrs. Foster was also upset by the video. Just a moment ago, she had been as proud as a peacock, but now she seemed like an irritated pheasant, "Why are you all looking at me? She hasn’t been staying in my West Wing for a while. Now, it’s our second son who’s looking after her."
She frowned and continued, "Anders Spence is just as shameless as she is. I need to have tea with Mrs. Spence and ask her how she manages her son, who has no shame in pursuing my Cherry."
Mrs. Fowler laughed again, "Wait a minute, Mrs. Foster. Weren’t your two families planning to arrange a match between them?"
"That was his father’s idea. My intention was to have my Cherry get to know the Spences’ eldest son, Brandon Spence, not this younger one."
Mrs. Fowler, who loved to stir up trouble, clucked her tongue, "The College Entrance Exam is in June next year. I really don’t know what these kids are thinking."
Mrs. Willis said, "There’s a parent-teacher conference next month. I’ll have to arrange for some extra tutoring for my child. I can’t lose face. Mrs. Collins, give me Chloe Collins’s contact information. I need to talk to her."
Rosalind Taylor hesitated for a while and then gave it to her.
After this incident, none of them felt like continuing their shopping, so they all dispersed.
Mrs. Foster, Sophia Ford, was the first to leave, as she rushed to talk to Mrs. Spence about this matter.
Mrs. Willis left shortly after.
Only Mrs. Fowler and Rosalind Taylor remained, continuing to shop together.
