Tristan Collins hurriedly got out of the car and strode in.

Tessa Collins was already waiting for him at the entrance. Upon seeing him, she hurriedly approached him and said, "The doctor said that she might give birth today due to standing in the snow for too long and her body being affected. She is in terrible pain now."

Tristan’s face tensed up, and he quickened his pace.

Rosalind Taylor’s due date was in two months. If she gave birth now, it would be a premature baby.

Tristan’s veins were bulging, and he didn’t speak all the way as he rushed to the labor room.

Rosalind was lying on the bed, groaning weakly.

"Ruth."

Rosalind turned her head and saw him. Tears fell down her face instantly.

"Honey, am I going to give birth soon?" Her voice sounded scared and anxious.

"I don’t want to give birth now. A premature baby will have a weaker body."

Tristan held her hand and said, "The doctor will decide what to do. Don’t worry."

Seeing his not-so-worried face, Rosalind felt even colder. She started to cry out of grievance.

"It’s all your fault! You’re the one who hurt me and our son... Ah!"

She screamed, which suddenly triggered a stronger contraction, making her shout even louder.

Tristan’s eyes narrowed; "Call the doctor over!"

The doctor came over and decided to send her to the delivery room immediately. They couldn’t wait any longer.

As she was about to be wheeled in, Rosalind grabbed Tristan’s hand desperately, "I won’t go in unless you promise me one thing!"

Tristan, helpless, said, "Just tell me, I’ll promise you anything!"

"No matter what happens in the future, you can’t kick me and Raine out of the Collinses! You must treat Raine as your own daughter with love!"

Tristan’s face turned cold.

"If you don’t promise me, I won’t go in!"

Tristan slowly stood up and suddenly waved to the doctor to wheel her away.

"Tristan!" Rosalind screamed in agony.

Tristan didn’t follow.

Rosalind suddenly grabbed hold of the doorframe, desperately trying to prevent the doctors from wheeling her away.

Tessa came up to him: "Why didn’t you say anything just now, is it so difficult to promise her? She’s carrying your child, after all!"

Tristan stared at Rosalind without saying a word.

Tessa kept urging him to put their child first.

Tristan walked up to Rosalind and said, "I promise you."

Hearing this, Rosalind’s hand suddenly loosened, and she was quickly wheeled into the delivery room.

Due to the baby being premature, the labor was a bit difficult.

Finally, at 6:33 in the morning, a baby’s cry was heard from the delivery room.

Tristan, who had been sitting stiffly all night, got up and went to the delivery room entrance.

A nurse came out holding the baby, "Congratulations, the mother and the baby are safe."

Tessa was delighted: "A son? Is it really a boy?"

The nurse’s eyes were calm: "It’s a boy."

Tessa looked at Tristan and laughed, "Our Collinses have finally broken the curse of having only one male heir!"

Tristan’s face didn’t look too good. He asked, "How is the baby’s condition?"

Nurse: "Because he is premature, he is weak in various aspects. There is no serious impact, though. Take good care of him in the future."

Tristan finally let out a sigh of relief.

The baby was taken to the nursery, and Rosalind was wheeled out of the delivery room.

Almost falling asleep, she forced her eyelids open to search for Tristan.

Tristan came up, held her hand, and said, "The baby is fine."

Rosalind anxiously asked, "Your promise... will you keep it?"

Tristan really hated being threatened, but at this moment, he endured his discomfort and nodded.

Rosalind entered the room to rest and soon fell asleep.
