Chapter 55: The Partial Elder Brother

Robert Foster stared in disbelief, his face almost touching the drafts.

The next second, he stood up in rage, "Brother, you’re partial!"

"Why did you fully explain the problem-solving ideas to her, and even annotated which formulas to use in which situations? Why didn’t I get such a caring service?"

All he was asked to do was read the dull text, which was hard even to understand.

The notes written for Chloe Collins, however, were simplified, easy to understand at a glance. All the key points and difficulties were listed out, the problem-solving methods were so clear, all it would take was a single readthrough to understand them.

"Bro, am I your brother?" Robert Foster leaned on the desk and asked with "tears in his eyes".

Alexander Foster was indifferent, not looking at him. To Chloe Collins, he instructed, "Read all of these, and then complete the exercises on the pages marked, I’ll check on you thirty minutes later."

He made a move to stand up.

"Wait." A soft woman’s voice stopped him, Chloe Collins, conscious of her actions, stretched it out, took hold of the corner of his clothing.

Alexander Foster lowered his gaze, looking at her slender, pale finger holding onto his clothes, her tired face, her delicate eyebrows drooping slightly, lacking energy. This reminded him of a kitten squinting in the sun on a windowsill during the afternoon.

His heart was like it was gently rippled by a force, breaking the calm.

She said, "Ten minutes will be enough."

Alexander Foster took that to mean that she was tired and wanted to briefly go through her work.

He slowly amended his gaze, saying, "I’ll come over after ten minutes."

"What about me, bro?" Robert Foster pleaded with shining eyes.

"You, give it to me when you have finished."

Robert Foster was filled with frustration.

After Alexander Foster left, Robert Foster buried himself in studying.

"Chloe, how many problems are you going to do?"

He leaned over to see that Chloe Collins was solving an entire page, which made him swallow a lump in his throat.

Oh my gosh, there were all types of problems, even more than what he got.

Alright, even though he’s partial, he is still his elder brother.

He returned back to his spot, and while solving, he said, "Don’t worry, I’ll help you once I’m done with these, buddy is all about loyalty."

Time was passing slowly.

Ten minutes later, Alex Foster walked through the door right on time.

"Bro, why are you so quick? I’ve only done half." Robert Foster was sweating bullets.

At that moment, Chloe Collins had put down her pen and spread the books on the desk.

Alexander Foster picked them up for inspection.

His gaze gradually deepening.

Chloe Collins stood up: "I’ll go first."

"Did you write all of this yourself?" Alexander Foster inquired.

Upon hearing this, Robert Foster quickly looked over.

Every single question was attempted, however, for the larger questions, only the final answers were filled out, not the solution process.

Robert Foster laughed,"Isn’t it obvious, she must have looked this up online. Bro, don’t make things hard for her. These are difficult questions that we haven’t covered yet. Not everyone is a math genius like you."

"Looked up online?" Alexander Foster turned to Chloe Collins.

Chloe Collins glanced at the textbook, speaking lightly: "I wrote following your notes."

"The solution?"

"There wasn’t enough space to write."

"Bro, she’s obviously just lazy."

Alexander Foster closed the book, handed it to her, "Go and rest."

Robert Foster’s eyes widened, "Bro, I also need to look at your notes."

Alexander Foster raised the notebook high, then placed it onto Chloe’s books.

To Robert Foster, he said: "Figure it out by yourself."

A hint of a smile appeared on Chloe’s face, "Figure it out yourself, buddy."

Having said that, she walked out of the room.

Alexander Foster looked at her retreating figure, his mouth involuntarily twitched.

Robert Foster once again widened his eyes, "Bro...were you...smiling just now? Was that smile for Chloe Collins?"

Alexander Foster coldly replied: "Do your work."

Robert Foster began his whining offensive, "Bro, I want you to be this gentle to me, too. I have other plans tonight, can I skip homework?"

Alexander Foster brushed off his hand, mercilessly walked out, "If you don’t finish it, don’t you dare come out."

"Bro——"
