Chloe Collins was halfway through her research when she suddenly received a call from Evelyn Thompson.

"Chlo-Chlo, your grandmother is here. When will you be back?"

Chloe’s eyebrows knitted faintly upon hearing this. She murmured, "I’ll be there in half an hour."

After ending the call, she didn’t hurry off. Instead, she took a few minutes to go through the remaining documents. Now, she had a good idea of things.

On her way back, Madam Taylor was busy making efforts to master the finer points of conversation with Evelyn Thompson.

Evelyn was unfamiliar with Madam Taylor, but she had heard a bit about her.

After that, Madam Taylor declared she would no longer acknowledge Joy as part of the family. She didn’t even attend Joy’s funeral.

Because of all these past events, Evelyn didn’t have a good impression of Madam Taylor, but she couldn’t fully express her disdain as the old lady was still Chloe’s maternal grandmother.

She felt a sense of revulsion as the old woman clung to her hand, listening to all the insincere things she was saying.

Pastying on a smile, Evelyn removed Madam Taylor’s hand from her own. She asked, "Madam, you just said that this is only your second time seeing Chlo-Chlo in more than ten years. That doesn’t seem right. Why didn’t you see her before?"

Madam didn’t expect to be asked so directly.

Lowering her eyes, she kept on feigning a smile, "I am old, my arms and legs are not working as they used to. While residing at the Taylors, I never saw the child visit me. I am near to my end, and I just wanted to see the child before that, to fulfill my last wish."

Evelyn Thompson: "Today is Saturday, the child went out to have some fun, and she won’t be back soon."

"It’s alright, it’s alright, I can wait." Madam Taylor chuckled.

She was making this declaration while scanning the house, her eyes reflecting a nostalgic sense of remembrance.

"We, the Taylors, back in the day..."

"Grandma." Aria Taylor interrupted her.

Only then did Madam return to reality, not finishing her sentence.

After a few seconds of silence, she asked with a smile, "My granddaughter has been here for several days. I wonder, what is Mrs. Foster’s impression of her?"

Evelyn Thompson: "Chlo-Chlo is a good child, impeccable."

The smile on Madam Taylor’s face widened, "Speaking of which, the child is now ranked 19. Back in my youth, this was the age at which you began discussing marriage. As a grandmother, naturally, I am concerned about her future. If I can live to see her find a good home to settle down, I’m satisfied in death."

Having given this some thought, Evelyn picked up her hot tea and took a small sip. Breaking the silence, she asked, "Madam, have you thought of a spouse for your granddaughter?"
