Chapter 466

Chloe Collins’ expression didn’t change as she quietly looked at her.

Rosalind Taylor continued, "If Alexander Foster cuts off the cooperation, it won’t be good for you inheriting the Collinses in the future, right?"

Chloe’s mouth curled into a smile: "Us?"

Rosalind said, "No matter what, we are all family. You should persuade Alex to change his mind, which is good for everyone."

Chloe said indifferently, "Family?"

Rosalind felt uneasy about her ambiguous attitude and was anxious in her heart but didn’t say anything.

After a while, she assumed the identity of an elder and said, "Regardless, in terms of blood relations, I am always your younger aunt, and Raine is your cousin. We are ultimately family. Family members should help each other. If your mother knew about this, she’d definitely ask you to help as well."

"You know my mother very well." She smiled faintly, her eyes filled with arrogance: "Unfortunately, I don’t listen to anyone. I am used to the wild."

Rosalind felt powerless.

Wrapped in a sense of powerlessness like punching cotton, her anger accumulated.

She thought about it and comforted herself. The girl in front of her was just a child who couldn’t accept lessons and preferred sweet talk. It was better to appease her first.

Thinking this, she put on a smile again: "I know that Raine’s actions were excessive before. As your younger aunt, let me apologize to you on behalf of both myself and your unborn younger brother. You are the older sister. Don’t be petty with your ignorant younger sister, okay?"

Chloe’s fingers tapped the table, and she slowly spoke, "Are you begging me?"

"Of course. I came today to discuss this matter with you. Your words carry weight with Alex. If you say a few words, your father’s crisis will be resolved."

"I heard there’s another solution." Chloe said unhurriedly.

Rosalind was silent, her eyes darkened.

"Your father is still young. The Collinses’ leader will never be handed over to you. Even if it was, you wouldn’t be able to manage it. You wouldn’t understand such matters. Alex says this just to block your father’s retreat."

"Then there’s nothing we can do." Chloe shrugged.

Rosalind frowned, "How can there be no solution? You clearly know that Alex is doing this for you. Why won’t you help?"

Chloe laughed, "Why should I help?"

"Because he’s your father, and you’re his daughter. How could you stand idly by when your father is in trouble?"

"Father?" Chloe sneered, "Those who give birth without raising their child are no better than animals."

Rosalind was shocked, "How can you say that about your father? You have no right to talk about him like that!"

Chloe lazily raised her eyes and looked at the woman across the table. Her gaze was cold as she smiled and said, "If you have time, go burn some incense for my mother and pray to her. Thanks to her, you all have been able to live peacefully and safely to this day."

"How many faces do you have, asking me for help?"

Rosalind was furious, "How can you talk like that? I’m still your elder! Don’t you have any respect, integrity, or shame in your eyes?"

Chloe laughed, "Why should I show respect, integrity, or shame to a woman who drugged and tried to manipulate her own sister?"

Rosalind was horrified.

"How...how do you know about that?" She stared wide-eyed, "Did Lia Pearce tell you?!"

Chloe casually touched the edge of her teacup and said, "I know everything I should and shouldn’t know."
