Chapter 306

"This Joy Taylor, always so unpredictable. She doesn’t even get mad when her sister steals her boyfriend, which really impresses me."

In Tessa Collins memory, Joy Taylor was not at all the gentle, virtuous wife and good mother type. So, that she would tolerate such a situation was a surprise.

The group chatted for a while, and Theodore Collins who was downstairs had finished eating.

He couldn’t wait for Chloe Collins, so he went to the front yard to check on her and saw her on the phone.

As he approached, he suddenly felt something rushing by. When he turned to look, he saw nothing.

He looked around for a while before continuing to walk forward.

"Sis."

Upon hearing the voice, Chloe instinctively felt a chill on her scalp. She quickly looked towards the corner without even speaking.

But Timmy Collins was not there.

Smart guy.

"I’ll wait for you up ahead."

After saying this on the phone, she hung up.

"What’s up?" she asked Theodore Collins.

Theodore said, "You haven’t eaten yet."

"Oh, I have some things to do, I need to go. You go back and let your grandma know for me."

"So soon?"

Chloe gave a slight smile and said, "If you have any questions, tell me online. Now go back."

Although reluctant, Theodore obediently went back in.

Chloe looked around in the dark. She finally raised her eyes and saw the chimpanzee hanging upside down on the railing under the second-floor balcony as expected.

She rolled her eyes and gestured to it.

As she was walking towards the main gate, the chimpanzee landed gracefully and followed her through the darkness.

Ten minutes ago, when she was debating whether to contact Alexander Foster, he coincidentally messaged her.

[Did that chimpanzee go back?]

This was the first time he’d asked about this since that day.

Speaking of it, she hadn’t thanked him yet for helping to look after it.

All week Robert Foster was saying how busy he was, always getting home after ten o’clock.

Apparently it was because of the Redolence Perfumes stuff.

Earlier he had sent a message informing he just came out of the company. Upon hearing that she was nearby, he promptly drove over.

After waiting under the tree for more than ten minutes, a Bentley car slowly drove up. Alexander Foster was in the driver’s seat.

Chloe signaled with her fingers, and Timmy, who had been hiding in the tree, immediately jumped down and squeezed in as Alexander opened the back door. The door was closed smoothly in one go, showing their implicit understanding.

Chloe also slid into the passenger seat.

She glanced at the man next to her. The frail light from the street lamp cast shadows on one side of his face. He seemed to have lost some weight, which made his features more pronounced and sharp.

After a while, he noticed her gaze and smiled.

She "calmly" looked away.

"Seat belt," he said.

Chloe fastened it smoothly and quickly, so fast that Alexander’s hand didn’t get a chance to touch her seat belt.

Alexander looked back at Timmy, "Can it understand human language?"

Chloe also turned her head and saw that Timmy already had its seat belt on.

She said, "Yes."

Just as she finished speaking, Timmy made a gesture.

[I am very hungry.]

Alexander: "What did it say?"

"It’s hungry."

"What a coincidence, I’m hungry too."

Chloe, touching her thin stomach, said, "Let’s order takeout when we get back."

"What do you want to eat?"

"Let me think, what about you?"

"I don’t have any particular preferences for food."

"Then you’re missing out on some fun."

He smiled.

The car slowly drove away, disappearing into the night.
