Chapter 262
Thinking like that, he couldn’t help but turn his head to look at Chloe Collins sitting next to him.
She was quietly reading a comic, seemingly unaffected by the outside world. Her peaceful side profile, wrapped in a soft glow, was particularly attractive.
Keith Grant didn’t announce their specific scores or their ranking in class, which made him somewhat unsatisfied.
But it was a bit difficult for him to ask them directly.
Luckily, the certificates would be coming soon.
As soon as class was dismissed, Diego Willis came over, gossiping and looking admiringly at Chloe Collins, "Chloe, how many points did you get?"
Chloe had just put down her comic and was pinching the bridge of her nose. Hearing the question, she replied indifferently, "I don’t know."
She indeed didn’t know as she hadn’t paid attention to it.
It was only when Keith Grant announced it that she remembered about it.
Sitting nearby and listening, Anders Spence raised his eyebrows in surprise.
This person was really strange.
Why would she take the exam with such an uncaring attitude?
Diego Willis turned to Anders with a grin, "Then, Anders, how many points did you get?"
Anders replied calmly, "87."
"Wow, eighty-seven! That’s amazing, I only got 81."
Anders’ mouth slightly curved up but said, "It’s nothing."
Shortly after, Wanda Wesley brought the certificates and handed them out to them accordingly.
As Anders saw the words "First Prize" on his certificate, he couldn’t help but fist-pump and let out a loud "yes."
He then eagerly looked over at Chloe Collins.
She didn’t seem to care, placing the certificate on the table with a book corner covering a part of it.
Coincidentally, the book covered the numbers.
After a while, he learned from Diego that all of them had won the first prize, so there was no distinction.
Anders was slightly unhappy as it didn’t seem to show any difference in their scores.
After school, he communicated with Cherry Foster and learned that the competitive class students had also passed the preliminary round.
Only the finals would bring about dramatic changes; the preliminary round could only be considered as an eligibility, whereas the final competition didn’t need to be thought about too much for now.
After school that afternoon, Chloe and Foster went home together.
Looking at his phone, Foster laughed, "My mom found out that you passed the preliminary round, so she’s cooking herself. Look, what a great honor it is for you."
He showed Chloe the picture.
In the photo, Evelyn Thompson was standing in the kitchen, surrounded by various ingredients.
After glancing at it, Chloe’s laziness faded away as her mind automatically turned those ingredients into a number of exquisite dishes.
Soon after, her eyes shifted to Foster’s wrist.
A brand-new wristwatch.
It was an LM top-of-the-line series, so she recognized it at first glance.
"Your watch..."
"Oh, this?" Foster didn’t hide it and said, "It’s a thank you gift from Wanda Wesley. She insisted on thanking me, ah, she even called me a hero. That kid, she’s too polite."
He was overjoyed, especially when he mentioned the word "hero."
At that moment, the driver in the front, Quincy, spoke, "Fourth Young Master, isn’t your wristwatch from LM? Ah, you mustn’t wear it at home."
Robert Foster was puzzled for a second, "Why not?"
"Isn’t that obvious? LM is Redolence’s competitor, you see. If the other young masters at home find out, they might think you’re being disloyal."
Robert Foster waved his hand, "No way, my brothers wouldn’t be that narrow-minded."
Quincy laughed, "You’re right, but it’s a shame not to wear such an expensive watch."
"Expensive? How much is it?" Foster asked, surprised.
Chloe interrupted lightly, "Three million, five hundred and fifty-nine thousand."
