His Wife Calls The Shots -
Chapter 244: I’ll Be Your Eyes
Chapter 244: Chapter 244: I’ll Be Your Eyes
Alex listened, the corner of his mouth slowly curling into a smile.
This young lady was indeed mischievous.
He felt her approaching, less than half a meter in front of him, possibly looking up at him.
"Let me discuss something with you."
He raised his eyebrows: "Go ahead."
"You help me shoot the eagle, and I’ll be your eyes."
She added: "My eyesight is very good, much better than Mr. Ford’s."
Alex didn’t really need these "eyes" because he had been practicing blindfolded since childhood and was used to it.
At this moment, however, he was silent for a few seconds, feeling the faint fragrance lingering around his nose and the little girl’s delicate voice echoing enchantingly in his ears.
He opened his mouth and blurted out without thinking: "Come."
"Hmm?"
He said, "I’ll teach you."
The little girl seemed very happy: "Teach me? Great!"
As soon as her words fell, he felt a small body press against him.
The height was about up to his collarbone, her soft, fine hair seemed tied in two braids, and the small tufts at the ends occasionally poking his skin, tickling slightly.
She had already grabbed the bow and arrows, ready to shoot.
"Junior, is my movement correct?"
Hearing this, Alexander withdrew his mind from the fragrance and hair tickle and adjusted her movements by feeling.
"Adjust the angle and focus."
As he spoke, he adjusted her gestures.
At this moment, the little girl’s head suddenly turned back, her hair sweeping over his collarbone, a touch of coolness brushing his skin, and then another cool touch pressed against him.
It was... her nose tip and chin.
Perhaps it was the wind that made it a little chilly and... very smooth.
His attention wavered.
"Junior, step back a little, I have no room in front."
Alex felt his breathing become a bit unstable, and nonchalantly stepped back.
Reaching out, he felt her movements, checked them, and found no errors. He then asked, "Have you found your target?"
"Yes, I can shoot anytime." She said.
"Avoid using your arm strength, lower your left shoulder, and use your back to pull the bow fully."
As he slowly instructed her, some fine adjustment sounds came to his ears.
Feeling that she had adjusted well, he said again: "Pay attention to the coordination of both shoulders and arms."
"Alright." She agreed.
Another round of small adjustment sounds.
Alex said: "Concentrate, count to three silently in your mind, and that’s it."
As he spoke, he also silently counted down for her in his mind.
As the three seconds passed, the sound of the arrow launching was heard, clearly much more powerful and swift than before.
Her talent was high.
This was Alexander’s first reaction.
One explanation and she understood, one point and she got the hang of it, impressive.
Suddenly—
"Ah!"
The little girl cried out, and immediately ran away from him.
"Mr. Ford, what happened?" He asked.
Ford seemed to be still observing. After a while, he said: "It seems that one more was shot, two birds with one arrow, shooting down both the eagle and a little sparrow."
He became interested: "Let’s go and take a look."
Ford took him there, and as he got closer, he felt a melancholic atmosphere.
"This bird is going to die, it’s all my fault."
A voice full of remorse.
Alex was moved and suddenly said: "Find a place to bury it."
The little girl stood up: "I want to try to save it."
He smiled faintly: "What about the eagle?"
"This eagle always snatches the chickens and ducks from the village, it’s evil. I’m eliminating the harm for the people, and it deserves death. After I take care of the little bird, I will pluck its feathers and roast it to commemorate the spirits of the chickens and ducks in the sky."
