Chapter 1545: Chapter 1545: Winning is Equivalent to Losing_1

When she played this game with others, she was always the winner. The only exception was when she played against him.

Moreover, the game inevitably ended within three rounds.

And now, it seemed that he intended to use this game to reject her.

"You can consider it," he said.

"Senior, this concerns the lives of tens of thousands," she implored.

"So, you must beat me." He finally turned will his calm and gentle gaze on her.

She had no other choice: "Okay."

The man pulled open a drawer, took out a pen and paper, then set a timer on his cellphone. Each round would last five minutes.

"Once it’s over, we reveal the answers," he added.

She nodded.

In the first round, she drew and Milton White guessed.

She started by writing the answer in the top right corner of the paper, covering it and then began to draw.

She drew slowly and abstractly.

Milton White looked once, noted down the answer on his paper.

Then, they proceeded with the second question.

When the first round ended, they had finished six questions.

She had significantly slowed down her drawing speed.

"My Turn."

He drew quickly with his head bowed.

Chloe glanced at his drawing and wrote down, "Atrium of Grandeur" on her own paper.

It was a place where they previously spent their leisure time.

The drawing was accurate and could be recognized at first glance.

Once she finished writing, she set it aside. As she looked up, he had also completed his second drawing.

This time, she recognized it immediately.

It was a picture of a chicken with lotus leaf, a food that he often made her eat. Specifically for her cravings.

For the third question, he spent a lot of time drawing before showing it to her.

As the painting appeared, she was suddenly at a loss.

The pen in her hand lost its movement.

The painting depicted a festive hall full of distinguished guests, with a newlywed couple getting married at the altar. The second part of the painting showed the couple in the bridal chamber, about to toast their wedding wine.

The groom in the painting had strong revealing features.

He had a red rope bracelet and phoenix eyes that slightly squinted upward. The bride wore two rings, one being the wedding ring while the other was a simple design silver ring, worn on the index finger.

"The clue is that this painting is my dream. The answer is the names of the newlyweds," he said.

Chloe unconsciously gripped the pen tightly in her hand.

The reason for her previous failures became apparent.

She never thought about their relationship in a more intimate way; thereby she could never find the correct answer.

As the timer alarm’s abruptly went off, she snapped back into her own thoughts.

"Time is up," he announced.

He then unveiled all of the answers.

She answered two questions, got them right, didn’t write the answer for the third one and therefore voided it.

He answered six questions, and all of them were correct.

The game was decided.

"You can go," he said, turning around again. His voice was husky.

Chloe couldn’t describe her feelings at the moment, only the voice of the little girl echoed in her ears -

"Milty doesn’t want to see you because he is afraid that his orderly emotions will be messed up once again, wouldn’t all his previous efforts be in vain?"

"If I were you, I would never appear in front of him again. Don’t you think you’re very selfish?"

She sat still for a long time, feeling a profound dryness in her throat.

"Regardless, from the day I called you Senior, in this life, you have always been the most revered person to me."

The voice of the girl did not have the usual determination and hardness. Instead, she sounded unusually tender and soft.

He stared at the obscurely written words in front of him, his eyes gradually blurring.

Only he knew that in this game, he was always the loser.
