Heijii stood at the hotel entrance, his face lit with a smile, "Boss, today is a great day."

Chloe Collins had only just arrived. She showed no emotion towards the desolate view as she walked inward, asking, "Has everyone arrived yet?"

"Not yet, I have already sent someone to pick them up from the airport."

Today, the two adventurer hosts referred by Alexander Foster were supposed to come talk about a potential collaboration. The agreed time was here, but they hadn’t gotten off the plane yet.

"How is the recruitment going?"

"The post has gained a decent amount of traction and stirred up quite a discussion, but most individuals are all talk, no substance. They asked a horde of questions, but didn’t dare to come. Moreover, some are questioning us, suspecting that Damien Hart’s arrival to program is a mere publicity stunt."

These reactions were within Chloe’s expectations, who seemed unruffled.

She glanced at the chilly lobby and said, "Let’s wait some more. No need to adjust the salaries."

Heijii suggested, "Should I go over to Fire and pull some people in? Or maybe the Dark Alliance? They’re bold and surely not afraid."

Chloe countered, "The Dark Alliance charges a high fee. We only need some waitstaff, it’s too costly and unnecessary. Our income and expenses are being monitored, it won’t be possible to manipulate the books."

Heijii looked around and questioned, "Who is monitoring us?"

Chloe replied, "We don’t need to know where they are, they will definitely scrutinize our finances. They will trace every expense and income."

Heijii retorted, "But Fire is ours. You are the boss, it’s normal to instruct staff."

Chloe showed Heijii the screenshot sent by Austin Thornton, Vice President of Carrington Enterprise, mentioning the competition’s specific rules.

One rule mentioned that using resources outside of the competition regulations is prohibited.

This rule was clearly intended to target Chloe Collins.

The Kings or the LM couldn’t be relied upon either.

Heijii grinned, "But nobody knows you own Fire yet."

Chloe flashed him a look both scornful and impatient.

Heijii, realizing his boss’ pride was taking over, hastily said, "No need to use these people, we will compete strictly following the rules and can still take first place without their help."

Chloe retorted, "Enough of your chatter, go prepare for our guests."

Currently, Heijii was the only "waiter" in the hotel. Until they can hire more staff, Heijii would act as chef and take on several roles. He was too busy to even date.

Thus, ten minutes later, Polita appeared at the hotel.

"Boss, I’m here for the front desk position." A seductive voice that went straight to the bones.

Heijii was just receiving the meals from a delivery man. Hearing this voice, he quickly turned around and was immediately excited.

"Oh my, boss, what brings you here?"

Polita’s brows furrowed, she tossed her bag at him and sashayed in, "I’m here to work for the boss, what does it have to do with you? Don’t flatter yourself."

Heijii followed after, "You can’t. The boss said we can’t turn to our own."

"What about you?" She retorted.

"It’s not the same, I am her personal assistant, all the communications with Carrington Enterprise are managed by me."

Polita’s brows furrowed even more, "So you’ve been going to bed at dawn these few days?"

"Yeah, more or less."

Looking at his proud face, Polita muttered, "Idiot."

"You’re almost thirty, you think you’re still young?" She added.

Heijii failed to grasp her concern, instead energetically proving his vitality, "I can do this until I’m seventy!"
