In the courtyard, a girl was moving some stuff.

Four or five big boxes, each looking quite heavy.

She easily picked them up and carried them into the house.

At this moment, two little figures were lying on his car hood as if they hadn’t noticed him, trying to figure out how to pry off the golden bull ornament.

The taller one picked up a small stone, preparing to smash it.

Just then, the sound of a car door opening made both kids shiver in unison!

Alex looked down at them with an indifferent expression.

Chloe Collins glanced at the precious natural spices filling the room, her lips curving slightly.

She took a short video with her phone and sent it to the medical staff.

Once it was sent, she set her phone aside and went out to move in the last box.

As soon as she stepped outside, she saw a man standing outside the fence, holding two children by their arms.

The two children, looking guilty for doing something wrong, didn’t struggle.

Chloe was amused by the scene. She raised her eyebrows slightly and walked over leisurely.

Alex put down the children: "Tell her what you just did."

The children lowered their heads and whispered, "We just saw that the bull on uncle’s car looked nice, so we wanted to pick it out, play with it, and then put it back..."

Chloe raised her lips: "Why do you have to tell me?"

Alex’s eyes were cold: "You didn’t watch the children properly; you have a responsibility."

"Why is it my responsibility?"

"Aren’t you watching other people’s children?"

Rupert Frost looked up, "Uncle, you’re wrong, sister Chloe is not in charge of us. She’s just my neighbor."

She had already opened the refrigerator.

Not hearing Alex’s response, she looked back and saw him staring at the pile of spices.

"Alexander Foster." She said seriously.

The man looked up, his thoughts interrupted.

"Whatever."

She lifted her chin: "Go sit at the dining table."

Alex’s eyes softened with a faint smile, as if saying: Young lady, you have quite a temper.

Finally, without saying a word, he obediently took a seat at the dining table.

Chloe poured a glass of water and then casually made him a cup of instant noodles with a small plate of kimchi on the side and brought it out.

Alex looked at the steaming cup noodles, not very pleased: "Do you usually eat this?"

"That’s all I have."

After saying that, Chloe went to deal with the spices.

The phone kept vibrating from time to time.

She picked it up and glanced at it, sending a voice message: "Something came up, I’ll talk to you later."

Alex stared at the phone, his black eyes deep in thought.
