Chapter 140: Chapter 140: Joy Taylor’s Perfume Mixing Manual
Chapter 140
The book was clean, with only a few words written.
"Why didn’t you do your homework?" Tristan Collins flipped through the book.
Theodore looked at him, blinked, and then said, "I don’t know how to do it."
Tristan took a deep breath, put his toys aside, opened the book and asked, "Tell me, what don’t you understand?"
Without hesitation, Theodore answered, "I don’t understand any of it."
Tristan frowned, "You’re in the fourth grade and you still don’t understand anything, what exactly are you doing at school?"
The brightness in Theodore’s eyes dimmed somewhat, "Dad, I am only in third grade this year."
Tristan was taken aback.
He did not look into his son’s eyes, but instead slowly lowered his gaze to the textbook and started explaining the problems to him.
This was something new to him, so it took him a while to go through each problem.
For an hour and a half, he supervised Theodore doing his homework.
"Why can’t you understand?" He was almost out of saliva, having explained a single problem three times, even filling the textbook with notes.
In the end, seeing that it was getting late, he told Theodore to go to bed.
Before turning off the night light, he looked gravely at his son’s face and suddenly said, "Go to school and study well, stop thinking about unnecessary things. You’re my son. Everything in the Collinses will be yours someday."
Theodore opened his eyes, "What about Sis? Does Sis also get a part?"
Tristan pulled up his blanket, "She’s different from you."
"Why is it different? Grandma said, you used to care for Sis a lot, why don’t you care anymore?"
Tristan was genuinely surprised. He didn’t expect his son to be thinking about so much.
"Go to sleep. These aren’t things you should be worrying about at your age."
Theodore blinked, then suddenly said, "I want to go to the amusement park. Will you take me, Dad?"
Tristan glanced at him, "I am very busy."
Theodore cast his eyes down, turned around, and said nothing.
Tristan turned off the lights and left the room.
When he got back to his room, Rosalind had returned.
"Where have you been?"
Tristan didn’t reply but instructed, "Starting from tomorrow, find a more attentive tutor for Heng’er."
Rosalind was surprised, "Does Heng’er need a tutor? He has the best grades. Every time there’s an exam he’s ranked first in the whole school."
Tristan was stunned, "What did you say?"
Rosalind looked at his disbelief, so she went to get Theodore’s backpack and pulled out the test papers and homework, "Look, all full marks. Not only was he first in academic exams, whatever activity he takes part in, he is the champion. This child has a competitive spirit just like yours."
"Why has he never told me?"
"You’ve never asked. A kid, once he’s home, just wants to play, of course, he wouldn’t voluntarily bring it up."
Rosalind looked at him, "Why did you suddenly become interested in the kid’s grades?"
Tristan was lost in thought and didn’t respond.

On the other hand, Raine Nolan was studying an old perfume formulation manual that her mother had just given her.
The manual was handwritten, detailing the pros and cons of various blending methods, and recording at least twenty secret formulas. Indeed, it was the solution to her pressing crisis.
She flipped to the very first page, and there, faded with time, were two characters: Joy Taylor.
This was Joy’s scribbler, but she remembered that there was no such thing in the storage room downstairs.
When Chloe Collins came to the house last time looking for something, she had taken the opportunity to look in the storage room.
According to her mother, it was filled with Joy’s belongings, which her stepfather had ordered not to be thrown away.
She was bored, so she rummaged around the room to confirm there was no such thing as the book currently in her hands.
In other words, her mother had taken it early on and had never put it in the storage room in the first place, which is why Chloe Collins hadn’t been able to take it.
Considering how much her mother valued it confirmed its immense significance.
Raine curled her lips, "I’ll count on you to take down Redolence this time."
