Chapter 1360: Chapter 1360: Menstrual Period_1

Chapter 1360

The couple turned serious, looking at Chloe Collins.

Chloe took a deep breath inward, relegating her story into a simple narrative.

When she mentioned the possibility of being barren for the rest of her life, Evelyn Thompson and William Foster’s expressions grew grave, their eyes revealing a hint of heartache.

Chloe was apprehensive.

She believed in Alexander Foster’s love for her and trusted the kindness of Evelyn Thompson and her husband, but she also knew that there were certain universal truths about human nature.

Should she be rejected for this, she wouldn’t blame anyone.

To her surprise, after listening, Evelyn Thompson got up from her seat, came over to hug Chloe, sobbing softly.

She murmured tearfully, "You’ve suffered, poor child, you’ve suffered."

William Foster said to Alexander: "Rest assured, we are not narrow-minded parents, your happiness is in your hands, we won’t interfere too much. Whether or not there is a child, doesn’t really matter, as long as you two love each other, that’s what truly matters."

Chloe, who was always as tough as iron, suddenly started to sob.

She was not lacking parents love. Truly not.

Three days later, the fourth trial of a new drug for this year commenced.

The night before the experiment, everyone was unable to sleep. This was a shot-in-the-dark attempt for them, primarily due to the combination of the new drug’s ingredients.

Jerry River proposed adding Meteorite Crystal Powder, and the rest decided to give it a shot.

This trial differed from the previous ones, needing to be conducted in three stages. The first stage was today, the second stage a month later, and the last one two months later, near the couple’s wedding date.

Early in the morning, Chloe arrived at the base. Compared to the others, she was the most calm.

The process of testing the drug was quite straightforward. One only had to wait two hours after administration, then undergo a full-body check-up, before logging the data.

By lunchtime, the experiment was finished.

Milton White didn’t come, so Chloe texted him an update - he responded with a simple acknowledgment.

Over the past couple of months, Milton had been speaking less and less with her.

In the afternoon, she headed back to school for class.

She was a fast learner, and according to her current progress, she would be able to finish all her undergraduate courses by next June in advance.

In the last ten minutes of the final class, she bent her head down to discuss dinner with Alexander via text.

With a couple of simple words, she could engage in a conversation that made the corners of her mouth curve upward.

Those ten minutes flew by quickly.

Alexander sent her a picture, indicating he was almost at the main entrance of Capitol University.

Just then, the bell rang, signaling the end of the class.

She packed her books into her backpack with a sprightly energy, leaving via the back door.

This classroom was on the first floor, and the backdoor led directly to a small garden. Crossing the garden got her closer to the main entrance.

The air was faintly tinged with the smell of blood, like a girl somewhere was having her period.

In a casual glance, she saw Mane York hurriedly fishing a sanitary pad from her bag and stuffing it into her pocket before scampering off in the direction of the restroom.

She redirected her gaze, continuing to walk to the backdoor.

A familiar scent wafted from the side of the backdoor, and Raine Nolan’s face flashed across her mind.

As expected, it was Raine waiting there.

Raine abruptly stopped her; her dark eyes looked as if she hadn’t slept in days, the bloody red sclera filled with a spiderweb of red veins.

"I have something to say to you!"

Chloe looked indifferent, not at all interested in the conversation, and stepped around.

Five seconds later, Raine hastily ran in front of her, scoffing, "They’re preparing to replace Tanner Collins’s kidney, and it can’t just be me who goes, you have to too! Otherwise, I will publicize this picture!"

She thrust her phone in front of Chloe. On it was a photo of Chloe’s backside, the most striking part of which was a rosy patch on her white pants.

Bright, eye-catching.

Her indifferent eyes suddenly flared with excitement, all her attention focused on a certain spot, where there was a feeling of something seeping out.

She...she had started her period!
