Chapter 1332
Evelyn Thompson is standing in the flower garden, waving at her with a smile, "Come have breakfast after your run, Aunt Evelyn made your favorite."
Chloe Collins is dumbstruck.
She runs to the bottom of the stairs and looks up at the woman standing above, "Aunt Evelyn, why are you here?"
"We moved here yesterday, and we’re going to live here for a while!" she smiles, with a spatula in her hand.
"You all?"
"Yep! Alex, your Uncle William, not forgetting Victor and 123456, and of course, your Milk Candy."
They have moved their home here...
Chloe recalls the look in Alexander Foster’s eyes from last night when he brought her home, and suddenly everything makes sense.
"Was it Brother Xian’s idea?"
Evelyn Thompson jogs down the stairs, smiling as she tightens Chloe’s coat, "Beware of the cold, dress more warmly. As for your question, at first it was your Brother Xian who suggested moving here, and then I just followed along."
"Don’t worry, no matter what people say online, the Master is behind it all. In my heart and your uncle’s heart, there is only you."
Chloe looks at the smiling woman in front of her and feels warmth in her heart.
From the beginning, Evelyn Thompson treated her as good as her own daughter. She cherishes this warm affection immensely.
"Thank you, Aunt Evelyn."
"No need for thanks, just fulfill Aunt Evelyn’s one wish."
Chloe smiles, "Please say it."
Evelyn Thompson laughs, a little embarrassed, "After you two get married, just give Aunt Evelyn a few more grandsons and granddaughters."
Chloe’s smile freezes. At this moment, something surges up from her heart, coldly enveloping her heart.
Evelyn Thompson’s smile becomes stiff, sensing something is wrong.
"Aunt Evelyn, I’m going to run first," she says softly.
Evelyn Thompson quickly says, "Okay, okay, go ahead."
Chloe nods, turns around, and runs off. However, her steps are not as light as before.
William Foster steps down the stairs at this moment, seeing Chloe he says, "Why are you standing here?"
"Honey, I think I said something wrong just now."
William Foster is suspicious, "What?"
Evelyn Thompson frowns, her fingers nervously pinching her husband’s arm, "I just casually mentioned to Chloe that I hope after she and Alex get married they can give me a few more grandchildren. Then, her expression became very disappointed."
"Does she think I’m a terrible mother-in-law who forces my daughter-in-law to have children?"
William Foster reassures, "No, Chloe isn’t that kind of girl. She must have her own worries."
Evelyn Thompson regrets, "If I’d known, I wouldn’t have brought it up. I thought she liked children, so I intentionally brought up a slightly ambiguous topic to promote the relationship between the young couple."
"Don’t overthink it, she may be thinking about something else."
Evelyn Thompson sighs.
Chloe has run around three laps, a layer of sweat appearing on her back.
She sits on a bench in the park, staring blankly at a line of ants on the ground.
After a while, she sees a mother dog nestled in the grass bush, two puppies tussling beside it.
Envy is evident in her gaze.
"How nice."
She looks back following the familiar scent, and surely enough sees Alexander Foster.
He’s also dressed in a sports outfit. There’s a bit of sweat on his forehead, looking like he’s just finished running.
He walks over, his gaze sweeping over the dogs.
He squats down and ties her loose shoelaces, gently asking, "Are you hungry?"
Chloe does not feel like speaking, shakes her head lightly, and her gaze returns to the puppies.
