Chapter 1273
She was forcefully kicked by Chloe Collins and landed on the ground, unable to get up and continue fighting.
"Manie!"
The heart-wrenching scream, filled with shock, caused everyone in the room to look towards the doorway.
Leading the way was Jerry River, followed by five or six bodyguards. There stood a man and a woman, both siblings of Mane York.
As they entered, they witnessed Mane York being kicked and landing clumsily on the ground by Chloe.
Manie was their beloved, who had never suffered any harm nor dared anyone to hurt her.
This sight was as painful for them as’digging out their hearts and cutting off their fingers’!
Jerry River took out his dart gun, aimed at Chloe, and growled fiercely, "You’re done, young lady!"
With a bang, the dart flew out like a bullet, aiming straight for Chloe’s neck.
However, at this moment, a chair flew out of nowhere, blocking the flying dart, which was actually soaked with anesthetic and would cause unconsciousness shortly after being hit.
Jerry felt a sense of unwillingness as his dart was blocked and once again, he aimed his gun at Chloe.
Suddenly, with two whooshing sounds, a man stepped out from the side, snatching his gun, and pressing it against his forehead.
With a calm and indifferent expression, Alexander Foster looked at him, "Fair competition, no outsider interference."
The cold muzzle of the gun pressed against Jerry’s forehead, causing goosebumps to break out all over his body, he didn’t dare to breathe heavily.
A member of the Yorks standing next to him angrily said, "You hurt my sister, we, the Yorks, will not spare you!"
Alexander’s corners of his mouth curled up, his gaze icy and wicked, "Then let’s try."
The sound of clinking rang out, marking the end of the match.
Alexander dropped the gun, took big strides towards Chloe.
On the other side, the Yorks rushed towards Mane York, who had fallen on the stage and couldn’t stand up.
As they carried her away, Chloe, despite her shoulder bleeding profusely, remained expressionless as she held up the note, saying to the semi-conscious Mane York, "You lost. You owe me a favor."
A member of the Yorks swiftly snatched the note, tore it up, and glared at her, "We will make sure you wish you were dead!"
Chloe looked at the pieces of paper on the ground, gave a cold smile, "You’d better send her to the hospital before she dies here."
The Yorks, filled with urgency, temporarily ignored everything else. Getting Mane to the hospital was their main priority.
There was an uproar of cheers in the Fighting Arena.
Chloe looked at everyone with an indifferent expression, feeling a dull pain in her shoulder.
She was swept off her feet by Alexander who then quickly stepped down the staircase.
The sounds of cheering and catcalling were even louder, filling her ears.
Alexander looked grave, his eyes filled with suppressed pain and worry.
From the beginning, he seemed to disagree with her fighting, but couldn’t dissuade her.
She leaned her face into his chest, closed her eyes, and decided to rest for a while.
During her rest, Alexander was lightly frowning as he treated her wound. The deep bite mark on her shoulder was glaringly obvious.
She lost quite some blood, her lips were somewhat pale, and her forehead was covered with a thin layer of sweat.
Yet, she said lightly, "This little injury is lighter than a tickle."
Alexander gently wrapped a bandage around her, without saying a word.
Chloe looked up, her fingers caught a hold of his clothing and tugged, "Hey."
Alexander remained silent, not looking at her, only staring at the wound.
She scooted closer to his direction.
"Don’t move." He finally spoke. He granted her a glance; his expression indifferent yet filled with suppressed anger; "Don’t move this arm, it will bleed."
Finding the atmosphere a bit off, Chloe tried to start a conversation, "I’m hungry, let’s eat."
