She had doubts about whether Jonathan Brown was Chloe Collins or not and fretted whether to make a phone call for confirmation. Provoked by Jerry, she readily dialed the number.

This number was given by the design department and was the only way to contact Jonathan Brown.

Jonathan would never pick up calls and only read text messages. So, the design team would usually send him texts and refrain from making calls.

But now, she dialed the number directly.

If the call wasn’t picked up, it wouldn’t necessarily mean that Chloe Collins is Jonathan Brown.

But if the call was answered...

Her heart clenched tight, reluctant to believe the latter possibility.

Chloe Collins’ voice had a touch more colour than usual, but it was cold. There was a hint of contempt as she asked, "What do you want?"

Manie gritted her teeth. She was unwilling to concede, absolutely unwilling!
