Chloe Collins glanced at the title of the book: Cutesy Counterattack of a cold-faced cutiepie.

"Freshman, come join us." Everyone was quite friendly.

"This... isn’t exactly my style," she whispered.

"That’s okay," Andrew Stone laughed. "As long as you’re interested, you can write your own book. We have minimum requirements, not maximum ones. Share your ideas and we’ll discuss them."

She looked away and said, "I’m going to look at some books."

"Alright, think about our offer while you read, and if you have any good ideas, let us know."

The club president was welcoming with his dialect and beaming smile.

Chloe went to the new books section; all the books there were ones she was interested in, very convenient.

She randomly picked a spot to sit and began to read a book.

She pulled out her phone to set an alarm, but discovered there were many unread messages on her messaging app; so she checked.

After going through them, she saw the chatter was about a young male teacher about to start teaching at the School of Information Science. Many were discussing the teacher’s looks.

The professors at the School of Information Science were indeed experienced, but they had always been lagging in terms of attractiveness compared to faculty at other departments. This had been a running joke.

She glossed over the conversations, chose not to participate, and set down her phone.

The sun began to set, and her alarm started to vibrate.

She had just finished reading the last page of the tenth comic book.

After neatly setting down the book, she stretched, picked up her phone and left the comic club.

Before she left, Andrew reminded her to share any good ideas she might have.

Because of his words, she took a lingering look at the comic they were planning on and was deep in thought.

The setting sun’s rays interrupted her contemplation.

Alexander Foster was cooking tonight with Evelyn Thompson assisting. With such a good opportunity, she wanted to hurry back for dinner.

Just as she had parked, a butler came over from the East wing and opened the door for her.

"Miss Collins, the Master has ordered you to go directly to the Main Building upon your return. We have guests this evening, and the masters of both the East and West Wings are there."

"Like this," Chloe said with a tinge of regret in her voice.

She would not be able to enjoy the meal prepared by mother and son.

With things as they were, she had no choice but to head over there.

As she reached the entrance of the hall, she heard the Master’s hearty and jovial laughter accompanied by a few lines; "Yes, yes, yes, that’s exactly what he’s like."

Chloe kept walking, then suddenly, she halted.

Amidst the mingling fragrances, a familiar yet foreign scent wove its way in.

Manie York.

As soon as the name appeared in her mind, she saw a girl seated next to the Master.

The girl’s eyes glanced at her dismissively, her smile fading slightly.

Everyone else’s eyes turned to her.

"Chlo-Chlo has returned. Come sit," the Master chuckled.

Chloe Collins gave a faint smile and a nod, moving to sit next to Alex. Alex’s own bowl was already filled with prepared crab and shrimp meat.

Yet, Alex’s hand was still peeling a shrimp.

"How were your classes?" he asked casually.

Chloe Collins picked up a spoon and ate a bite of the crab meat, feeling a wave of satisfaction in her heart.

"Very good," she replied.

"Chlo-Chlo, meet Manie. I heard you both are in the same program." Sophia Ford, the wife of the Master, spoke.

Chloe gave a nod, her expression still calm.

Sophia Ford continued with a smile, "It seems you don’t know, this is Miss York, the granddaughter of the Master’s old friend, from the Yorks, who are distant relatives of the Queen in Anstolas, Continent of Stortia."

Manie York added, "In fact, I should have visited earlier, but I was too busy with my studies. I apologize for my tardiness."

The Master chuckled, "There’s no need, as long as you come. When you go back, please send my regards to your grandfather."
