Chapter 1106
The two walked over, glanced around at the people who were unconscious and then looked at Chloe Collins.
She rested her head against the back of the chair, her face tilted slightly to one side, her eyes closed, looking like she had fallen asleep.
Layla Lowell drew a question mark on her small face: "When I left just now, she was still very conscious, how did she fall asleep in just a few minutes?"
Saying this, she bent down and smelled the alcohol.
"This is such a strong drink!"
She passed the glass to Alexander Foster, whose handsome face slightly darkened.
He thought it would be strong alcohol, but he didn’t expect it to be this strong. His big hand covered Chloe’s forehead, touched it a bit, and the heart hanging in his throat finally relaxed.
"I’ll take her home. Thank you for tonight." The refined and light male voice fell, and he then hoisted her up in his arms.
Layla Lowell smiled, "You’re welcome. I’m just upstairs anyway, and ..." Her playful eyes glanced at Chloe’s face, her smile deepened: "I’m doing this for Chloe, not for you."
She would always act on behalf of her close friends.
That night, Chloe wasn’t drunk, and they all heard her confession.
Although Layla didn’t know what Chloe was waiting for Alexander to do, she understood that, as long as it was something Chloe liked, she would be longing for it.
So, she would take every opportunity to set them up.
Alexander didn’t quite understand her words. He looked at the person in his arms, didn’t think too much about it and walked away.
Just as he lifted his foot, he felt a force pulling his clothes.
Layla Lowell turned her head and made a sound of question.
"Manie York, you’re still awake?"
Manie York, holding her dizzy and swollen head, looked at the man in front of her with blurry eyes, her lips trembling slightly.
"Grim ..."
She tried to firmly grasp him, but suddenly her hand lost its grip and darkness descended.
As Layla Lowell watched Manie doze off again, she frowned.
"You guys go first, I’ll take care of things here."
Alexander nodded slightly, then carried Chloe away.
It was a cool breeze, Layla looked at these people, sighed, and planned to make a call for a car to send them all back to Capitol University.
"Need help?"
A familiar male voice came, and she turned her head.
A gentle-smiling boy walked towards her, holding a small bag in his hand.
"Senior." Layla Lowell was surprised, "Why are you here too?"
"Everyone was gathering here tonight, I came over to check it out. Here, take this, I just bought it, want a sip?"
He handed over a warm milk tea.
Layla Loweell had a good impression of this gentle and polite senior, so she took the milk tea first, then turned her head to look at the people.
"We need to find a car."
"One probably isn’t enough."
The two of them were slowly chatting, and not far behind them, a man was concealed in the darkness, a cigarette in his mouth, quietly watching the men and women, who touched shoulders while moving, his long narrow eyes revealed a kind of dangerous amusement.
-
In the car.
Alexander drove quietly, occasionally glancing at the seat next to him, checking on Chloe’s condition.
In no time he pulled over and headed towards a pharmacy.
Chloe slowly opened her eyes and looked at the man walking into the pharmacy, her lips gradually curved into a smile.
Late at night, the pharmacy was quiet, the salesperson was just looking at their phone.
Alexander went in, took a glance around, grabbed a packet of hangover remedy, then went to pay.
Returning to the car, he took out a pill, leaned down towards Chloe.
After the third attempt, Chloe finally graced him by slowly opening her eyes.
He raised his lips, his voice soft and low: "Take a sip of water, and swallow this, you won’t have a headache when you wake up tomorrow."
