Chapter 1102: Chapter 1102 No One Signs Up_1

Chapter 1102

Wanda Wesley’s eyes dropped gloomily, "If he doesn’t keep his word, what am I supposed to do?"

"Impossible, Robert Foster is really genuine, he could be even shyer than you, and he won’t date girls he has no interest in. Didn’t you notice he didn’t have a girlfriend throughout high school?" Layla Lowell comforted her.

Wanda Wesley pondered for a while without saying anything.

After spending more than two hours in the buffet restaurant, the three left separately to attend to their own affairs. Wanda Wesley and Layla Lowell went to participate in the club party, while Chloe Collins went to look around the school.

Two hours ago, the class representative had pinged her in the group chat, asking her to come over as soon as she was free.

She told them not to worry, but they didn’t listen.

Upon entering the School of Information Science, she walked around for quite a while, finally reaching the lobby of Block A Teaching Building. There were quite a few people gathered there and it was quite noisy.

As soon as she arrived, many people turned to look at her.

Because she was late and didn’t know many people, and because she was often alone, many people thought she was eccentric and didn’t actively approach her to talk.

As her gaze swept over the room, Chloe Collins saw two lines of students and an empty table with no one queueing in front of it. On it was a sign with her name on it.

"Hey, Chloe Collins is here."

Someone called out. A moment later, two boys who had been gathering around to watch the excitement next door returned to her spot and waved at her.

"Hey, why are you so late? The gathering is almost over," complained the class representative, Herbert Willis, holding the sign-in sheet.

Chloe looked at the sheet – it was empty.

"No one?"

"Yeah, no one. Everyone wanted to join the successful group," Gerald Gogh, another boy, responded frankly.

Herbert sighed, "If this goes on, we will have to pick from our class, but you are the only girl. It’s a bit tough arranging the performances."

"That’s not the problem," Gerald added, "I did make an announcement in the group chat. All our classmates are willing but lack talent. Nobody wants to show off and lower the score. Herbert, it seems that you and Chloe are the only option left to sing a duet."

Herbert glanced at Chloe, put down the sign-in sheet, and, looking enviously at the two lines of people to his side, said, "Not many from Automation have signed up and those who came all joined Manie York. The others from different majors were also pulled by Manie York and the activists. You are not active, so it’s difficult to draw people."

When mentioning inactivity, there was a hint of reproach in his gaze.

However, considering Chloe was a girl, he didn’t say much. Instead, he asked her to sit down and started calling people over to sign up.

Others only glanced and then pretended not to hear, giving no response.

Seeing a familiar face, Herbert was about to go over to convince him to join.

Chloe Collins, her eyebrows slightly knitted, held down the sign-up sheet.

"Can’t I ask for external help?"

"Yes, but this support can’t include people from other departments, you must find someone from outside the school. Are you sure?"

Chloe calmly replied, "I have my own plans, don’t bother; you guys can disperse."

"Uh, Chloe...," Herbert lightly tugged at her clothing. When she turned around, he quickly let go and licked his lips, "If you really can’t find anyone, the boys in our class could be your backdrop. We may not have talent, but our figures are not bad. With some make-up and such, we can add some visual appeal. Anyway, we are at your disposal."

"Right, if you need an errand run, we’re at your service," Gerald added.
