Chapter 78: Eyes on Me

The moment she took him into her mouth, his eyes flew shut, and his whole body shuddered with a deep sigh.

Harper’s insides tightened at the sight. That reaction ... Did it mean that he liked it? That she was off to a good start?

Her heart thrashed within her rib cage, and the slippery place between her thighs pulsed. Her body was still reacting to his earlier touch, the heat coiling and roiling where his finger had been. The thought that it was her chance to return the favor now — to see the euphoric look on his face and hear the sighs of pleasure leaving his throat — made her giddy.

He tasted like fresh water and soap and woodsy, salty spices. It was nice, and she liked the way he fit, snug but not overwhelming. Oh sweet heavens. She wished she could put to words the look in the depth of those gorgeous blue eyes. It was dark, fiery and ravenous as if he wanted to devour her with his look alone. And the fact that he seemed to have grown even harder from just looking at her, obviously and increasingly aroused by just the sight of her tasting him ... made her blood boil in euphoric satisfaction.

She wanted more. Wanted to give him more. Pushing herself forward, she glided along his length, swallowing him all the way.

A hard twitch in her mouth, and his fingers tightened against her scalp. His eyes were growing even darker. Oh yes, he was enjoying this, and Harper’s mind was reeling in dizzy delight. By the time she had him down to the hilt ...

Harper held still, yet her own body was throbbing and squeezing hard just at the sight of him, and her heartbeat faltered. She never knew how ravishing, how ecstatic it could be to watch the pleasure take over someone at her mercy. Was this how he felt every time he touched her, feeling how wet she was for him and how eager she was for more? Was this how he had felt every time she moaned and shuddered, her body like a taut string trembling at his fingertip?

She felt exhilarated, intoxicated. There was nothing else she’d rather see than Eli losing control for her, his fingers digging into her scalp and his eyes — when he recollected himself enough to meet her gaze again — burning with so much desire that it made her sizzle from inside out. She couldn’t help a smile spreading across her face, and she eased her mouth back before pushing forward again, taking him in as much as she could, and swallowed once more.

It didn’t take much. Just like how quickly she had climbed up to the edge herself, he seemed already close, the tension in his muscles stretching tighter and tighter every second. She didn’t even get a chance to try something else or repeat too many times before he hissed again, and the pulses spreading through him became much harder.

"Harper. Stop." The command came out ragged. His hand suddenly slipped out of her hair, gripping her shoulder instead, and then he was backing himself out of her, his breathing an erratic rhythm.

Harper was confused for a moment. She was about to ask what she did wrong when he pulled her up to her feet and took her mouth with his own, entangling them in a bruising kiss. His hand reached for hers, and he wrapped her palm within his, gripping them both around his length in a hard stroke.

It was mere seconds before she felt a hot gush spraying against her belly, and he groaned one last time into her mouth as his whole body shuddered.
