Chapter 54: Go Harder

This was not how Eli imagined the night would go. He had been fully prepared to spend the next few hours painfully choked by his jeans, and then the next few after that in a vigorous hand workout in a shower. He even had a clear idea of what kind of images he’d be playing in his head while he was at it ... sinful fantasies that he would never share with anyone else.

But even the most sinful of those fantasies would not measure up to the feeling when Harper wrapped her fingers around him.

There just seemed to be something special about this girl, something he couldn’t name that turned him on more than anyone else ever could. It was probably some kind of magic, because no one — no one at all — could possibly make it feel this good when all they did was to touch him, to hold him in their hand. She wasn’t even moving, but just the warmth and the softness of her flesh against him was enough to make him twitch in a wave of pleasure, and a small sigh broke free from his throat.

That reaction was so uncharacteristic of him that he almost felt alarmed by its unmanliness ... and was only saved from mortification by the fact that it had obviously encouraged Harper.

"Am I doing it right?" she asked. There was still a hint of breathlessness to her voice, the lingering effect of their earlier adventure. Almost cautiously, she began to move, sliding her hand tentatively down his length.

Sweet, fucking, hell.

Her movement was so inexperienced. That much was clear as day. Her pace was torturously slow, and she didn’t know how to focus on the more sensitive places, didn’t know how to add a twist or follow any pattern other than a simple up and down. But hell, there was nothing more arousing than precisely that innocent inexperience, that almost timid way she explored him and that obvious care she took out of pure keenness to please.

He really shouldn’t be enjoying this as much as he did. It was not the original intention of their "arrangement", and it was the precise reason why he had made the rule against "actual sex". But he didn’t care, not right now. Turning his brain off, he let himself forget everything about logic and good judgment, letting his body focus solely on the heavenly feeling of her caress.

"You can go harder, you know." He couldn’t resist asking for it. "I don’t mind it rough." And with that, he took her in a rough, bruising kiss.

She gasped in surprise. Expectedly so, since he had never kissed her like this before. Hungry and wanting, he delved deep into her mouth, claiming the sweet territory with no subtlety. His tongue found hers with a hard stroke, and he suckled with all the burn he was feeling inside.

The little vixen must’ve liked it, because her gasp turned into a muffled moan, and her hand ... tightened around him in a hard stroke that matched his.

Oh yes. A brilliant, sexy, fast learner indeed.

Eli almost hissed into her mouth as a surge of golden heat pulsed through him. Damn, this was so much better — unbelievably better — than anything he could have ever expected. Her skin felt so delicate against him, yet her strokes were so firm, so sure and measured. It was as if she had gripped somewhere deep within him, and with every movement, she was coaxing that flame beneath to roar higher, stronger, closer to the surface.

It made him feel wild and savage, and he showed it to her. Kissing her deeper, he bit down on her lips hard enough to sting.

Another gasp, and she moaned again, the nails of her free hand scraping over his nape to hold him closer and tighter. Good, she was apparently enjoying this as much as he did—

Then her other hand slid higher up his shaft. With slower and softer strokes, she caressed the head, and the pad of her thumb brushed lightly over the wet tip.

Fuck.

Eli was the one to gasp this time. That sweet touch sent a shudder through his body, and his groin tightened in a pool of liquid fire. "Goddamn, Harper," he croaked into her mouth. He’d have to take back what he was thinking earlier — he shouldn’t have assumed that the author of a steamy web novel could be that innocent and inexperienced, after all.

Against his lips, he felt her smile in utter delight. "Does that ... feel good?" she asked in a whisper. "I mean ... I’ve only read in books about how this is done, and I didn’t know if ... if I’m doing it right or—"

"You have no idea how amazing you feel, Harper." The truth tumbled out raw and plain, and he made no more effort to hide it. "I doubt you can do anything wrong even if you try."

Sealing their lips together again, he thrust hard into her grip. There would be no holding back now — he entwined their tongues together, and his hands roamed all over her, melting her against him like a puddle of molten heat. Their bodies found a matching rhythm, stroking and thrusting, and they fit into each other so perfectly, seamlessly. The sensation was so blissful that it was soon spiraling closer and closer to the brink, his breathing becoming faster and more erratic against her lips.

"Harper," he whispered as he felt the pressure gathering at the base of his spine. His hand grazed her belly in a soft question. "If I—"

He didn’t even get to finish the words, because the little vixen already understood. The corner of her lips curved up. Keeping up a steady rhythm of her strokes, she shifted beneath him, and her heavenly fingers moved to aim him straight at her stomach.

The unguarded trust in what she just did, the unquestioning willingness and eagerness in that smile he just felt, crashed over him like a surging tide riding right on the crest of the final wave. He pulsed against her palm, one, two, three times, and then a blinding gush of pleasure poured out of him, along with a deep groan.

His mind was blissfully blank, adrift in euphoria, as he emptied himself onto her.
