In the observation room, young wizards in charge of monitoring the screens were buzzing with comments and shaking their heads in disapproval. More than one voiced their disdain for a certain hunting team, as well as distrust toward the school’s relevant departments and personnel.

"The Absolution Hunting Team... They’re the ones who won the championship at this year’s school hunting party for the freshmen, right?!" The witch from Alpha Academy was uncertain and looked to her companion for confirmation.

The nearby wizards all nodded affirmatively.

"Of course, it’s them," another white-robed warlock sneered sarcastically, "At the time of the competition, everyone was saying that their hunting team cheated by summoning Spiritual Beasts beyond what the Hunting Ground could handle... But who can blame them when Old Yao is in charge of this year’s school hunt, he must have his reasons for doing so."

While he did not make any direct accusations, his words implied something that was rather intriguing. Even though the students from Jiuyou Academy present felt some dissatisfaction, the facts were right in front of them, and they felt it inappropriate to start an argument in front of everyone.

However, the Green Skin Parrot sitting atop the screen, acting as a spokesperson, felt compelled to speak up for the Absolution Hunting Team.

"Those lads are good kids! How can one be so prejudiced?" The Green Skin Parrot flapped its wings, screeching noisily. Its grating voice echoed in the observation room, irritating everyone present.

"Indeed, all good kids... I heard when their D&K store on Pedestrian Street had its grand opening, they even invited you to attend the ceremony, right?" A Blue Gown in the back row of the observation room said with a smirk, addressing the Green Skin Parrot.

"Yes, yes! I told you they were good kids!" The Green Skin Parrot flapped its wings excitedly, adding, "Just like the little wizard who leads them, every time he passes by the front desk of the office building, he always brings me a big handful of tasty grass seeds... None of you have that kind of awareness!"

The Third Grade of Youjiu College student standing at the base of the screen slapped his face, covering his eyes and let out a long sigh.

The other wizards in the observation room suddenly understood and their looks toward the screen and that wizard became even more hostile.

Most young people at the college still held dreams and aspirations for the future. Therefore, they were extremely intolerant of some ’methodologies’ borrowed from society. Clearly, the actions of the young wizard from the Absolution Hunting Team, who had ’courted favor with the Green Skin Parrot,’ seemed no different than ’bribery’ in the eyes of some.

The parrot’s misguided defense opened the floodgates for the young wizards to express their opinions.

"Well well, since the school hunt, there’s been rumors in our college that the captain of the Absolution Hunting Team is Old Yao’s illegitimate child, which is why they always receive favors from the school... Looking at it now, the rumor seems very likely to be true, huh?"

She was dressed in a white robe with just two black edges embroidered around the neckline, looking somewhat timid.

However, her concerns did not resonate with everyone else.

"If a Big Wizard has to draw a circle to curse us, that Big Wizard’s skills are pretty lousy!" The Blue Gown wizard who spoke first pursed his lips, his tone indifferent, yet his eyes betrayed a hint of excitement, "Besides, being able to measure our abilities against a Big Wizard before becoming a Registered wizard, what an excellent opportunity... It couldn’t be better!"

"Lunatic," murmured a witch from Alpha Academy, giving the Blue Gown wizard a look as if he were a cockroach.

Seeing the discussion sliding toward an uncontrollable direction, the Veteran from Youjiu College who was in charge of the observation room finally spoke up, interrupting the ongoing buzz of conversation behind him.

He first reassured the witch with slightly yellow hair, "If Old Yao cared about everyone’s gossip, he wouldn’t let us call him Old Yao... You can be completely assured of that."

"Of course, that doesn’t mean we can freely disregard the dignity of a Big Wizard," he continued.

Saying this, he cast a stern glance at the young wizards behind him.

Such a warning could not be taken at just face value.

Not one of the students standing in that observation room was a fool. So after hearing the words of the Veteran in charge of the task, everyone immediately quieted down.

Order in the observation room was restored to how it was a few minutes earlier.

But soon, there was a slight disturbance again in the order of the observation room.

"Hey, what’s that guy doing?" A witch from Alpha Academy stretched out her arm, pointing at the screen on D Alpha, her voice betraying a hint of unease, "Why is he taking out so many talismans? What kind are they?"
