High School of Demon Hunting
Chapter 418 - 87 Andrew’s Hunting Team _1

Chapter 418: Chapter 87 Andrew’s Hunting Team _1

The youngster from the Karen Family newly enrolled in Sepulano’s mouth is naturally Matthew Karen.

Andrew Taylor was not unfamiliar with this name.

The world of wizards is vast, large enough to encompass hundreds and thousands of new world colonies, with famous and powerful individuals shining like stars. Yet the wizarding world is also small, especially in the Under the Moon Council, which is always filled with familiar surnames and familiar figures.

Both the Karen and Taylor families have their own chairs in the Under the Moon Council, and both families, naturally or unnaturally, pay attention to the younger generations of each other.

Since childhood, Andrew Taylor has heard the elders mention Matthew of the Karen family more than once: a cultivated young man, a refined Blood Race, a true Under the Moon aristocrat - these exaggerations always made Andrew scoff.

Apart from a conflict in a practice class a few weeks ago, however, Andrew and Matthew had little connection.

Although Andrew showed a contempt for the Karen family in front of Sepulano, this was more of a compliment to the fat wizard and did not mean that he would irrationally challenge the honor of an ancient Under the Moon nobility.

This is not a smart choice.

Originating from the teachings of the Taylor family, this young werewolf has learned that there are not many things in this world worth guarding apart from the family. Just as the well-known proverb from the Taylor family says - the feud between werewolves and vampires has nothing to do with the Taylors, they are merely door-watchers.

As for the fat wizard in front, if not for rumors that he had a connection with some legendary figure in the Wizard Alliance, the dignity of the Taylor family’s descendants would not allow him to waste so much energy on a wizard of impure bloodline.

These thoughts passed through the young werewolf’s mind in an instant, but there was no change on his face, he still looked careless.

"This is my honor." Andrew bent his waist with effort and first expressed his gratitude for Sepulano’s favor.

Then he straightened up, his face showing unease, and he said with sincere dread, "But, I have been dull since childhood. My control over blood power has always disappointed the elders, so they threw me into this university to be seasoned... now I have just enrolled and have not made much progress. If this were to affect the reputation of the tail-snake, I would deserve to die a hundred deaths."

Standard diplomatic language.

Not unfamiliar to Alpha’s students.

This time, the others in the lounge remained silent in their places and did not express any agreement with Andrew’s statement.

This made the young werewolf uncomfortable.

He couldn’t help but lift his eyelids and sneak a glance at the fat wizard behind the desk.

Sepulano was rubbing a clean white handkerchief in his hand, patiently wiping his fingers and palms. Sensing the young werewolf’s sneak peek, the fat wizard opened his mouth to reveal a gentle smile: "It’s okay. It’s just a freshman hunting party. There weren’t originally any interesting people... just treat it as a spring trip."

It’s the middle of winter, there’s no spring trip at this time.

Andrew suppressed his idiotic thoughts of retorts, opened his mouth, and tried to struggle a bit more.

But the fat wizard across him, with his pitch-black eyes and his thick, stubby finger shaking, stopped the young werewolf’s objections: "This is an opportunity, and you have to seize it. Like you being able to enter this lounge, you also seized an opportunity... of course, not using the somewhat despicable trick you used before."

Andrew’s eyes widened in surprise.

"Find it strange?" Sepulano’s excess flesh on his cheeks strained, revealing a laborious smile, "You were rejected by Friedman, so you wanted to attend my weekend banquet. This is understandable."

"In Alpha, everyone has their choice - this is everyone’s freedom."

"But your methods are not that superb."

"...Yes, I know, you played a little trick on Zheng Qing, making him have nightmares for a while - you must have heard that the cost student from the Jiuyou Academy suppressed my brother in the Four Seasons Pavilion, thinking that this would win my favor."

"But in my opinion, this behavior is like a clown streaking."

"It’s disgusting."

Andrew’s face turned pale, sweat beads on his forehead slowly dripped along his curly temples.

The atmosphere in the lounge was becoming increasingly silent, and the others seemed to hold their breath.

"In this world, the occurrence and end of each thing follows an inherent rule - like revenge, anyone with ability would not do this through others."

"How did you insult that cost student and where did you put my brother?"

Andrew tried uneasily to utter something as though trying to defend himself.

But the heavyset wizard simply shook his finger, and the young werewolf involuntarily shut his mouth.

This made him more worried.

"Truth be told, you should thank your contribution of a hundred jade coins for your admission into Auspicious. Money can move mountains; no wizard in this world can afford to disregard money. Especially for a young community like ours."

"However, if you think that those hundred jade coins are enough to get you into this lounge, the mark of a Tail Eating Snake may be too cheap."

This time, a faint murmur of agreement was heard in the lounge.

Sepulano’s eyes shifted around and the room fell silent instantly.

"Do you know why I’ve invited you to my feasts again?" the fat wizard said patiently, folding his handkerchief without lifting his head. "Keep in mind, those one hundred jade coins only draw my attention to your name. If not for unforeseen circumstances, you would’ve been just a regular member of Auspicious, and not standing in this lounge."

Andrew shook his head quickly.

His mouth was still sealed by some magic.

Sepulano did not lift his head, but used his husky tone to slowly explain, "Because you rejected Matthew Karen’s duel invitation... that silly duel invitation in the Practical class."

"It’s very important."

"Being able to make the right decision at the right time, at the right place - it’s very important. Every community needs this kind of talent."

"Some people might think it’s an act of cowardice."

"Those who think like that usually die earlier."

"For the Tail Eating Snakes, being dead means being a loser. Only the living can be considered true Tail Eating Snakes."

"That was the opportunity you had once seized."

Suddenly, Andrew noticed that the invisible barrier on his face had disappeared. He couldn’t help but open his mouth and gulp in lots of air.

Then he saw Sepulano’s small black eyes.

The young werewolf was quick to comprehend.

"Following your will," Andrew kneeled on the soft Persian carpet kneeling on a blooming daisy, showing much more humility and calmness than before, "I wonder if you have any ideas about the selection of hunting party."

The pudgy wizard rose up and slowly walked towards the floor-to-ceiling window.

His broad figure blocked the brilliant moonlight outside, casting a deep shadow in the lounge, covering all the figures behind him.

"Since you are the captain, naturally it’s up to you." Sepulano laughed in a low voice, paused, and then added, "But I can recommend a great auxiliary hunter to you... a fishman named Iseni."

"A fishman?" Andrew was shocked but immediately lowered his head, "As you wish."

The relationships between wizards and fishmen weren’t all that harmonious.

However, Auspicious had many connections with the Linzhong Lake Reserve, so they should be able to manage these troubles.

Amidst all these messy thoughts, the young werewolf was still paying attention to Sepulano’s words.

"...if you can win the championship in the freshman competition, I believe you can take on more responsibilities in the Tail Eating Snakes... and there will be more suitable positions for you at Alpha Academy." The fat wizard dangled a meaty bone in the end.

There was a slight stir in the lounge.

A couple of senior students were clearly unaware Sepulano would make such a promise. Although they didn’t object, they couldn’t help but glance at the young werewolf kneeling not far away.

Andrew remained silent.

However, a greenish glow flashed in his eyes.
