Chapter 606 - Chapter 606 Chapter 606 Wants to Break the Agreement and Not
Chapter 606: Chapter 606: Wants to Break the Agreement and Not Let Qiao Yun Go Chapter 606: Chapter 606: Wants to Break the Agreement and Not Let Qiao Yun Go “Sure.” Qiao Xun nodded.
“Wait…” The woman asked her subordinates warily, “Did he come alone?”
“Yes, we haven’t spotted anyone following him.”
Li Hanzhou sneered, “What, are you scared of me?”
The woman’s complexion turned sour; she wanted to lash out at Li Hanzhou.
Li Hanzhou gave her a casual glance; his presence suddenly became fierce, like a sword yet to be unsheathed, causing the woman’s limbs to stiffen involuntarily.
Unconsciously, cold sweat broke out on her back.
She felt a sense of relief inside, thankful that they had Qiao Yun in their grasp, otherwise, it would have been them who might have ended up dead to make Li Hanzhou submit.
Li Hanzhou withdrew his gaze, sneering once more, “You wanted me, so now here I am. Why, you don’t dare to make your move?”
“…”
Li Hanzhou then looked at Qiao Yun, his eyes filled with cold light instantly became tender, “Little one, come here.”
Without any hesitation, Qiao Yun started walking towards him.
Seeing this, the woman wanted to intervene but was stopped by Qiao Xun raising his hand, saying displeased, “Now that Li Hanzhou has arrived, according to the agreement, you need to release Qiaoqiao. Your boss promised me.”
The woman was both angry and annoyed at Qiao Yun, wanting to break the agreement and not let Qiao Yun go, but now that Qiao Xun cited the boss, she couldn’t make a move.
Qiao Yun walked up to Li Hanzhou, lifted her little face, and looked at the man watching her tenderly with his clear eyes.
“I’ll take you away.”
She gripped Li Hanzhou’s sleeve, her voice gentle and soft, “Let’s catch them and make them reveal who’s behind this.”
She seemed to think this was a good idea, nodding her head in satisfaction.
At any rate, she wouldn’t let Li Hanzhou go with them.
Li Hanzhou watched Qiao Yun for a while, then suddenly laughed, “Little one, only you are leaving.”
Qiao Yun blinked slowly, slightly puzzled by his words.
Li Hanzhou lifted his hand, gently covering Qiao Yun’s eyes.
Her long lashes brushed against the palm of his hand.
He thought, he mustn’t look into Qiao Yun’s eyes, or else he’d soften.
“I won’t let anyone harm or threaten you.”
Those were the last words Qiao Yun heard before she lost consciousness.
A sense of urgency like never before surged in her heart; even through the kidnapping and betrayal by her most trusted uncle, she hadn’t felt such anxiety.
Just as she had initially thought, Li Hanzhou was prepared to risk his life!
When Qiao Yun woke up next, the first thing she saw was Pei Ya’s face close up.
Upon seeing her awake, he began wailing loudly.
“Boss, you scared the hell out of me. Even if you want to do something, give me a heads up to prepare mentally. You have no idea the chaos that broke out when you disappeared! And Qiao Uncle, bah, I was worried he got into trouble too, but to think he could do such a thing!”
“Stop yelling.”
Qiao Yun found Pei Ya too noisy, blinked a few times, and after calming herself, she scanned her surroundings.
She was on a plane.
“Why am I here?”
Pei Ya immediately replied, claiming credit, “Of course, I rescued you.”
Qiao Yun sat up and after a moment of contemplation, she asked Pei Ya, “How did you know I was here?”
“Li Hanzhou told me,” Pei Ya confessed; he had received information from Li Hanzhou earlier, directing him to pick up Qiao Yun.
“When our people arrived, you were the only one left.”
Qiao Yun frowned, increasingly feeling that something was off. She glanced at the time; only half an hour had passed since she had fainted, yet Pei Ya had arrived so quickly.
It was as if Li Hanzhou had known ahead of time, like she was on an island.
Qiao Yun asked again, “Why did you know it was Uncle?”
Pei Ya said indignantly, “Li Hanzhou told me that Qiao Xun is involved with the organization, which I initially didn’t believe.”
Qiao Yun was a bit puzzled.
She hadn’t told Li Hanzhou about the organization’s affairs. How did Li Hanzhou know that her uncle was involved with the organization?
She seemed to think of something and asked Pei Ya seriously, “Did you tell him?”
Under Professor Qiao’s stern gaze, Pei Ya’s expression turned solemn, and he said guiltily, “It wasn’t on purpose. He forced me to tell him what happened to you recently. I had no choice but to tell him.”
Qiao Yun: “Huh.”
If Pei Ya didn’t want to say it, no one could force him.
Pei Ya adamantly denied it, simply because he was annoyed that Li Hanzhou was so well protected by Professor Qiao.
Qiao Yun pursed her lips tightly, and after a while, she said, “That’s not right.”
“Huh? What’s not right?” Pei Ya asked, completely confused.
“Let’s not worry about that for now. Boss, have a doctor check if there’s anything wrong with you first.”
Qiao Yun refused, “No need. I’m fine. My uncle didn’t do anything to me.”
“Really?”
At this point, Qiao Xun was not trustworthy in the eyes of Pei Ya.
“Really.” Qiao Yun took out her phone and opened an app, “Go find them.”
Pei Ya asked in confusion, “How do we find them?”
“Oh, my uncle has a tracking device on him.” Qiao Yun’s voice was faint, her eyes fixed on her phone.
Pei Ya was stunned, and then it dawned on him.
“Wait, the miniature tracker you had me get for you is on Qiao Xun.”
“Yes.”
Qiao Yun said righteously, “He deceived me, so of course, I could secretly put a tracker on him.”
Pei Ya: “…”
Qiao Yun had placed the tracker on Qiao Xun intending to track the organization’s headquarters if Li Hanzhou had not intervened.
According to her plan, she would be captured and then lead out the boss of the organization, catching him in the act.
Even if she wasn’t brought before the boss, as long as the tracker was on her uncle, she could capture him.
Now that the plan was disrupted, Qiao Yun was more concerned about whether Li Hanzhou was alright.
She lowered her eyes and said softly, “I don’t understand why he had to come.”
Putting himself in the situation, Pei Ya analyzed, “Perhaps even if there is only a one in ten million chance of danger, he wouldn’t want you to risk it.”
Qiao Yun paused, then turned her head to look out the window, not dwelling on this issue anymore.
“They’re here.”
Her pale finger pointed at a red dot on the map on her phone, “Go here.”
Pei Ya immediately had the plane turn toward that location, contacting his subordinates to come along the way.
…
Li Hanzhou was brought to an abandoned dock near the border.
They were to take a boat to international waters and then return directly to the organization’s research base. Once back at the base, neither Qiao Yun nor the Li Family would be able to touch them.
Probably because of the great reputation of Grandfather Li, both women and men feared accidents, and countless bodyguards closely followed Li Hanzhou.
Li Hanzhou, alone, was not afraid but carried himself casually, as if he were out on a tour.
This attitude earned a bit of admiration from Qiao Xun. If Qiaoqiao was with Li Hanzhou, they seemed quite well-suited.
Both were tenacious survivors.
Li Hanzhou was brought into a vast, old warehouse, and upon entering, he noticed many armed bodyguards inside.
In the middle of the bodyguards was a thin man heavily guarded.
Seeing him, Li Hanzhou did not show the expected shock but instead smiled a little, “So it’s you.”
