Hero Hack: Reversing Heroes and Raising Harem
Chapter 217: Zain’s Just Watching While Everyone Panics

Chapter 217: Zain’s Just Watching While Everyone Panics

Blazren sat straight as the door slid open.

Neuro stepped in, his visor glowing faintly, scanning the room before focusing on Blazren.

"I’m here now," Neuro said. "Tell me. Which group is it?"

Blazren nodded and tapped his tablet.

A profile opened showing the picture of Scavratt, the ratman villain.

He turned it toward Neuro.

"I got the full clue from someone. The ratman who attacked—his name is Scavratt."

"He used to run a gang called Rust Rat in C-Zone."

Neuro narrowed his eyes. "I remember that gang. Got wiped out months ago."

"Isn’t the one who wiped them, the Heavenly Demon?"

Blazren leaned forward.

"Yeah, but there is more information."

"Scavratt was saved before he finished him off."

Neuro crossed his arms. "Rescued by who?"

Blazren opened another file, flicked through several images, then landed on one: a tall, black-furred beastman with piercing yellow eyes.

"This one. A black wolfman."

Neuro’s face changed. His calm gaze sharpened.

"Wait. That’s... You’re not saying it’s him, right?"

Blazren nodded once. "Yes. Drask. The leader of Beastkin Brood."

Neuro’s fingers tapped his forearm lightly as he processed it.

"No wonder the Brood has been so quiet."

"Everyone thought they scattered after the last purge five years ago. But they’ve been hiding... experimenting..."

Blazren’s voice lowered. "And now they’ve succeeded. Scavratt gained a Class. Artificially."

Neuro looked at the photo again.

"This is more troublesome than I thought," Neuro muttered.

Blazren slid a folder across the table.

"Here. Everything we have on Beastkin Brood so far. It’s not much, but it’s enough to give you a trail."

Neuro looked up. "I need more than this."

Blazren nodded. "I’ve already assigned tracking teams to follow old Brood routes."

"I’ll send you direct feeds once they find something."

Neuro stood. "Good. I’ll connect this with my own intel unit. If there’s any trace of movement, we’ll catch it."

Blazren grabbed his tablet. "Then let’s move fast. We’ve got a shadow war to win."

Zain leaned back on his couch, eyes half-closed as he stared at the ceiling of his apartment.

His room was quiet. No buzzing from alerts, no system prompts.

Just the soft hum of the air filter and the occasional flicker of his holographic screen.

He tapped his fingers on the armrest.

"Blazren definitely recognized that black wolfman."

"The way he looked when I brought him up... that was real."

Zain tilted his head and muttered to himself.

"And he told me to take a break? That’s funny."

He stood up and walked toward the window.

Outside, the neon skyline of B-Zone glowed in faint red and blue pulses.

The city looked peaceful from this height. But he knew better.

"That black wolfman’s still alive. The only one I couldn’t kill."

But then he smiled.

"Let’s just wait and see."

He walked toward the centre of the room, where a large digital table displayed a map of the B-Zone.

Red pins marked past battles. Blue ones showed his girls’ current training zones.

A soft green glow surrounded the Heavenly Demon Sect headquarters.

Zain reached out and tapped the map.

A new window opened, showing the names of all his sect members.

"I’ve got more than enough hack points. There’s no need to rush."

He pulled out a black cube from his pocket.

Inside was raw memory data—a replay of Scavratt’s last moments.

He slipped it into the console slot and watched a fragment play.

Scavratt, roaring with rust energy.

Blazren, burning like a lion god.

Zain chuckled.

"I didn’t even need to move. That’s how strong they’re getting."

He turned toward another screen where the Sect’s training logs were running.

Names scrolled down the list—Velra, Naylen, Risa, Elka, Myna, and many more.

All of them had survived the one-month war simulation. All of them had come out stronger.

Zain leaned down, adjusting the training difficulty with a flick of his wrist.

"Sooner or later, the black wolfman will move again," he said. "And this time, I’ll be ready."

He walked toward a long row of sealed cases.

Each one held armor sets, weapons, and combat suits.

He stopped in front of one labeled Velra Vantess.

"She’s almost ready too," he muttered.

Then he pulled open a drawer beneath the case.

Inside were four unopened Beast Class Serums. Each glowed faintly.

"These... not for the girls."

He smiled and closed the drawer.

"These are for the bait."

Zain straightened his back and walked to the center of the room.

"Time to begin real training."

He raised one hand and snapped his fingers.

"Girls. Wake up. Your next battle starts now."

---

In the depths of BG-4, inside a hidden underground lab filled with dark lights and humming machines.

Drask walked in, and Syvarn stood over a glowing table.

Monitors showed beast-shaped outlines and unstable DNA patterns shifting constantly.

Drask crossed his arms.

"Doc, have you increased the success rate yet?"

Syvarn didn’t look up.

His hands moved over the screen, dragging graphs and code.

"Drask, do you know how hard this is? One percent. That’s all I’ve reached. That’s after months of testing."

Drask narrowed his eyes.

"You’re the genius here. You said you could do it."

Syvarn sighed.

"I said I could try. These low-tier beast types are unstable. I need higher-grade ingredients. Better samples. More time."

Drask stepped closer.

"We lost one of the best. Scavratt’s dead."

Syvarn’s fingers froze. He looked up slowly.

"Who?"

"Blazren killed him."

Syvarn frowned hard. His silver eyes narrowed as he tapped the console, pulling up footage.

"Blazren... wasn’t he just an A-Rank hero?"

Drask nodded.

"Not anymore. He awakened a Class during the fight. Some fire-based lion form."

Syvarn stared at the screen in silence.

"A new class user... Great. Now he’s stronger. And we lost our only functioning experiment subject."

He shut the monitor off with a swipe and turned to a side cabinet.

Inside were five capsules, each holding failed or partially successful test subjects in cryo-state.

Syvarn pressed a button.

"Bring them all here. Every subject that’s still alive."

Drask tilted his head.

"You want to try again?"

"No. I want to break them down. They’re not worth keeping as fighters. But their bodies still hold the data I need."

Syvarn’s voice was cold.

"I’ll extract everything. Refine it. Make better serum."

Drask gave a small nod.

"I’ll go get them. They’re in Sector D."

Syvarn opened a drawer and pulled out a surgical claw.

"Good. This time, I’ll crack the 5% barrier. And then... we’ll start building real soldiers."

Drask turned away, his claws dragging against the wall as he left the lab in silence.

Syvarn went back to work.

"One success wasn’t enough. Next time, I want an army."
