Chapter 59: Chapter 51: City Beauty Love, A Bit Sweet (4000-word Chapter asking for recommendations and monthly passes)_2
In the critical moment, it was Miss Antia who stepped forward, rallying the nobles and those princes and princesses from the Royal Family with ambition who were unwilling to see their land fall. They contributed their private soldiers to hastily form an army.
On the battlefield, the sight of Antia holding aloft a long spear adorned with the flag of the Oville Empire became the wellspring of courage for everyone. The soldiers fought valiantly, ultimately defeating the enemy forces and sending them packing back to their homeland, preserving the dignity of the Oville Empire.
Antia’s renown in the Oville Empire even surpassed that of the Emperor.
Shortly after the victory in the war, Antia passed away.
The cause of death was the accumulation of injuries sustained in the battle and a relapse of her old afflictions. To commemorate Antia, the Emperor even set aside a place in his own harem, signifying that even though Miss Antia had died, she would still be awarded the honor of a princess.
Antia Street ran through both the Civilian District and the Noble District, and at the end of Antia Street was the Fire Rose Bar.
The street was flanked by the most bustling parts of the Civilian District. The civilians living on both sides of the street suggested building two high walls along Antia Street to separate themselves from the real slums.
He picked up his pace slightly, and about half an hour later, Qin Chu appeared at the entrance of the Fire Rose Bar.
The strong smell of alcohol wafted from inside the bar, and even before entering, Qin Chu heard the distinctive voice of Catherine.
"Hahaha, come on, drink..."
Her boisterous voice gave Qin Chu a headache.
Peeking in, he saw that Catherine was clearly the center of attention in the bar.
At some point, her evening gown had been exchanged for battle armor, looking athletic and formidable. To make things more convenient, her usual flowing red hair was now tied into a single ponytail trailing behind her.
Completely lacking in ladylike decorum, she had one foot atop the bar table, holding a keg that was as large as a five-liter mineral water bottle on Earth in one hand.
Catherine probably couldn’t even write the words ’ladylike.’
All he could see was the robust woman holding the keg with one hand, bringing it to her reddish lips.
Gulp, gulp, gulp, gulp, gulp...
The clear, transparent yet spicy liquid spilled from the corners of her mouth, drenching her clothes and adding a touch of seductive allure. Her head was tilted back, revealing a long, pale neck. As she swallowed the alcohol, her throat moved seductively in a bewitching manner.
In one gulp, only half the keg’s contents were left.
Across from her, a man with a full beard and a body as robust as a black bear was already slumped on the floor, his stomach convulsing violently.
She casually wiped the liquid from her mouth and chin with her arm, "Hahaha, you wretch, you’re done in by half a keg!"
Holding the remaining half of the keg of strong alcohol, Catherine defiantly challenged everyone present, "Who else...?"
Soon, another determined robust man stood up, ready to defend the honor of men.
A group of grown men, if they couldn’t outdrink a woman in a war of attrition, would truly lose all face.
The owner of the bar watched the chaos inside with a beaming smile. It didn’t matter how messy it got—after all, it was all money.
This lady was hearty and generous.
Moreover, she held her drink exceptionally well. If she got drunk, she’d just lie down on the table and sleep without causing a ruckus. The next morning, she would wake up and pay her bill without a fuss, accepting however much the owner claimed, never questioning it.
This lady was a goldmine for the Fire Rose... ah, that is to say, a regular. Every time she showed up, the night’s revenue could match what was normally earned in a month.
Of course, this lady was just as dangerous.
Because she was truly beautiful, it was inevitable that some men would harbor indecent thoughts toward her. There was once a man who tried to take advantage of her while she was passed out on the table, but he literally got split in half by a two-handed heavy sword that she seemed to have conjured up from nowhere, with his innards scattering all over the floor.
After that incident, everyone knew better than to mess with this lady when she was drinking.
Another two hours passed, and there was not a man left standing in the bar besides the owner.
Catherine appeared to be getting bored, and after downing the liquor from the barrel in one gulp, she nonchalantly tossed the barrel aside. Then, without caring about the stains on the table, she nestled her arm and immediately fell asleep, snoring loudly on the table.
Some time later, Qin Chu finally walked out.
He approached Catherine, reaching out to pat her on the shoulder.
"Little brother, be careful, this lady is not someone to provoke, and one wrong move could cost you your life," the barkeeper kindly warned, mistaking Qin Chu for one of those people who scavenge the bar doorways for the fallen.
Qin Chu thanked the barkeeper but did not stop his action, his hand reaching for Catherine’s shoulder.
But before Qin Chu’s fingers could even touch Catherine, the woman who was sound asleep on the table threw a punch towards Qin Chu’s face, as if she had sensed something.
The force of the punch was strong enough to crush a grown man’s head like a watermelon.
Yet Qin Chu didn’t flinch, and as the punch was about to hit his face, it stopped short.
Catherine had no idea when she had lifted her head, her eyes bleary, "Eh, this... huh..."
"Isn’t this Qin Chu, my little brother? What brings you here, are you joining me for a drink?"
"Drink some more," Qin Chu said gently. "Can you stand up? I’ll take you back..."
"Ha, who do you think you’re looking down on? I’m not even drunk yet, how could I possibly not stand..." Catherine protested playfully, trying to get up from the chair, but she truly had drunk too much. As soon as she got to her feet, her legs gave out, and she was about to fall.
But Qin Chu was quick and promptly caught her, his hands on the soft and smooth parts of her body not covered by armor.
Shaking his head, Qin Chu left a one-thousand-mana bill on the table.
He then picked up Catherine’s round, athletic legs and carried her on his back.
Well, Catherine was not light by any means, adding her height of at least one meter eighty and her absolutely full figure, she was undoubtedly heavy; however, due to her consistent high-intensity training, her body did not appear swollen in any way, and her skin felt extremely firm to Qin Chu.
Some strands of her auburn hair swayed in front of Qin Chu.
"Oooh, I’m so thirsty; my throat is so dry..." A drunken Catherine, like a child, twisted her body on Qin Chu’s back.
Unfortunately, the breastplate she wore made Qin Chu’s back ache from the pressure.
Her hands wandered aimlessly over Qin Chu’s chest, quickly finding a glass bottle in his shirt pocket, filled with pink liquid.
Too inebriated to discern her actions, Catherine clamped her mouth on the City Beauty Love bottle and tilted her head back.
Glug glug glug...
She swallowed all the liquid in the bottle in one go.
She even smacked her lips afterward.
"Hmm, kinda sweet!"
