Chapter 546: Chapter 387: Kill Qin Chu, End it All? (1)
Little Shaye was utterly humiliated at this moment.
Whether it was the earlier blunder in brewing the Magic Potion or Miss Louisa’s two novels, she had been extremely cautious, absolutely sure that no one was nearby at the time.
Especially when reading Miss Louisa’s novels, she did so sneakily alone, even though she had used twenty layers of Magic Restriction. She still occasionally peeked around nervously, looking here and there.
She was terrified of being seen.
Where on earth had this person, who looked exactly like her, gotten her information from?
Could it be that she had stealthily read her memories without her noticing?
Impossible. Although this woman was strong, she was no match for her and couldn’t possibly read her memories without her noticing.
It was strange that, without having a twin sister, seeing someone exactly like herself should instinctively cause some fear or even disgust.
But, she felt none of that.
Inexplicably, she even felt as if the two of them were originally one, merely separated due to some reason.
Even though her own strength was far superior to that of her counterpart, she harbored not the slightest inclination to settle matters with force, which felt very weird to Little Shaye.
However, watching the numerous other girls around quietly staring at the two of them, those mysterious gazes,
Little Shaye felt her face burning up.
It seemed like she could still hear the voices of these girls.
"So, she actually did that kind of thing, huh?"
"She secretly read Louisa’s novels... Aren’t all of Miss Louisa’s writings kind of terrible, rumored to lead one into decadence? A lady definitely shouldn’t read them..."
Little Shaye couldn’t take it anymore and glared fiercely at her other self.
Then she sneakily glanced at Qin Chu, wondering if he would think of her as a very strange woman because of this damned blabbermouth’s revelations.
But, it seemed that Qin Chu was more interested in the Female Knight and the Goblin, as well as the Unclean Nun.
Great Shaye also seemed to realize just then that although she intended to overshadow that counterpart, the embarrassing history revealed was equally a memory she never wished to revisit.
After all, in front of these girls at the palace, she had always maintained an image of grace, dignity, and pride.
Destroyed, her image was completely destroyed now.
Ahhh, from Great Shaye’s lips came a bizarre wail as she clasped her hands over her face, crouched down to the ground, wishing she could burrow into a hole.
Wuu wuu wuu...
The spectacle of the two Shayes left Qin Chu speechless. What was this, harming the enemy a thousand and self-inflicting a thousand?
Despite the atmosphere being quite terrible, Little Shaye still refused to acknowledge that the impostor opposite her was actually herself, even daring to claim she was the elder sister. It was simply ludicrous.
She decided to use other means to test her.
"What is the brewing formula for the ’Magic Potion of Impulsive Judgement’?"
Great Shaye then raised her head disdainfully and glanced at Little Shaye: "1.85 grams of giant lizard’s saliva, 0.75 of a two-legged flying dragon’s brain fluid, three dead leaf bamboo cores, powder of the six-winged moth..."
Without any hesitation, Great Shaye immediately gave out the detailed ingredients, even the exact amounts were spot on.
Little Shaye’s body shivered violently. It was a Magic Potion she had developed herself to lower one’s reasoning as a cost and, in a short duration, even doubling one’s own Magic Power and Fighting Energy. She had never shared this formula with anyone and this Magic Potion had never made it to market.
She loved brewing Magic Potions, but she didn’t rely on them to make money.
"What is the brewing formula for the Transformation Potion, the drawing method for the Space Transmission Magic Array, the spell for the Magic Dark Gate, the flow of Magic Power inside the body when using the crawling motion of magical darkness..."
Little Shaye looked as if she was about to collapse, firing a barrage of questions. These were either unique potions she had developed herself or self-created magic, known to no one else, yet regardless of the questions she posed, Great Shaye was able to answer them accurately.
In certain magical questions, she even corrected some minor flaws.
Watching the two arguing, and as they didn’t seem about to fight anytime soon, Qin Chu took a deep breath and turned to Ireta, "Ireta, thank you for today’s help."
Ireta gently shook her head, "No problem."
"However, although most of them were killed, one did escape, likely their leader."
Carlos?
Indeed, that guy wasn’t easy to handle.
Already a strong individual, who knows what kinds of changes occurred after he became Rose Vesper’s lackey.
"Where did he escape to?" Qin Chu asked casually.
After a brief moment of contemplation, Ireta raised her hand and pointed in a certain direction.
Qin Chu’s gaze followed her pale finger, and under the moonlight, he could vaguely see the silhouette of a mountain top. Was that... Wise Mountain?
Qin Chu’s pupils slightly dilated. Wise Mountain? Nadia?
Carlos had previously wanted to pursue Nadia. Could it be that now, knowing he had already failed, utterly doomed, he was willing to take a dangerous risk?
His heart suddenly skipped a beat, thinking that Nadia’s situation might be somewhat dangerous.
He hadn’t expected that merely exchanging a few words with Ireta would lead to such important news.
Almost instinctively, Qin Chu, who had just returned to the palace and hadn’t even had the chance to enter the building, immediately rushed towards the door while placing a hand on his ear. He wanted to use Message Magic to alert Nadia to be careful of Carlos.
People who had contact with the Evil God were never normal.
Although Carlos usually looked decent enough, who knew what he could turn into now.
But very quickly, Qin Chu’s frown deepened; he couldn’t connect through Message Magic.
Could it be that Nadia had already encountered danger?
The two Shaye’s sharp senses almost simultaneously detected Qin Chu’s movements, their gazes sharply turning towards him:
"Where are you going?"
The voices of the two, identical in every way, mingled together, creating an almost forbidden duet to the ears.
But now, Qin Chu had no time to care about that much. His body already soaring, he responded rapidly without looking back, "Wise Mountain, Nadia might be in danger."
Although the contest between him and Little Shaye had yet to be resolved, Great Shaye’s expression also turned grave immediately, knowing now was not the time to continue bickering with the other self. Her purely energy body swiftly soared forward.
As usual, she settled very comfortably on Qin Chu’s broad shoulder, her fair legs dangling over his chest, gently swaying.
Seeing this woman, identical to herself, actually sitting so intimately on Qin Chu’s shoulder just as the girls had described, Little Shaye felt a sense of mental disarray.
Even weirder, she wasn’t sure why, but her mood grew inexplicably irritable and terrible upon seeing that scene, feeling extremely, extremely annoyed.
"I’m going too."
With her silver hair fluttering behind her, her slender figure silently followed beside Qin Chu, leaving only a crowd in the courtyard staring at each other in puzzlement, still unclear about what exactly was happening.
Perhaps due to the concern for Nadia, Qin Chu was silent all the way, adding to the somewhat oppressive atmosphere.
Little Shaye Nicholas didn’t like this kind of atmosphere. Being beside Qin Chu should be relaxed, pleasant, and comfortable, she didn’t want it to be this heavy.
Both Qin Chu and Little Shaye were incredibly fast. Under the blisteringly cold wind that felt like a knife cutting across their faces, the pain was fiery, with only the howling of the night wind in their ears.
Perhaps to break this heavy and oppressive atmosphere, Little Shaye slowly opened her mouth, "Do you really know everything?"
Without a doubt, the remark was directed at the other herself.
"Of course," Shaye on Qin Chu’s shoulder huffed in response, "As I said, everything you know I know, and I also know what you don’t know."
"Do you know what will happen in the future then?" Little Shaye Nicholas remained somewhat incredulous that there could be things that had happened to her that she didn’t know about, which must mean things from the future?
"Of course I know." Great Shaye lifted her head slightly with pride, in front of her other self, the urge to compete always became particularly strong.
Even if she wasn’t as powerful, she always wanted to outdo her in other ways, proving that she too was Shaye Nicholas and not some fraud.
This even caused Shaye to lose her usual cleverness and alertness.
"This guy is a Hero. His power will become stronger and stronger. As for me... well, perhaps you too, I will be staying in the research lab in the Demon King City conducting various experiments."
"Six years from now, this guy will invade the Demon’s territory, and then with one powerful move, he will destroy our lab, and all the years of research in it. I got so angry that I fought with him, and he ended up sealing me...this shameless guy even used the Heavenly Lock to connect both our lives together..."
As Qin Chu raced at top speed, he hadn’t originally paid much attention to the dialogue between the two Shaye’s, but as he listened, he started to sense something was amiss, and he changed color, "Hey, Shaye..."
Creak!
Shaye Nicholas on the shoulder finally realized she might have said too much.
Sure enough, the Shaye Nicholas who had been flying swiftly beside Qin Chu suddenly stopped.
Her crimson eyes focused on Qin Chu and the Shaye Nicholas on his shoulder.
"You mean, the future me will be sealed by Qin Chu and even have our lives linked together by him using the Heavenly Lock?"
"Then... if I kill Qin Chu right here, wouldn’t that settle everything?"
