Chapter 77: Liliana

Nancy stretched as she got out of bed. All night, she had been having dreams about Alpha Koan and honestly she felt giddy about meeting him again.

She went about packing her things, wondering when Talia started snoring in bed. When she was done, she thought she’d wake her up but she realized she’d probably be too tired from the events last night and besides, she already knew she’d leave this early and they had said their goodbyes last night.

She left the room quietly, shutting the door behind her without making a single sound. She made her way straight to Beta Raiden’s room, careful not to wake the others up.

She quietly entered the Beta’s room and snorted on seeing Raiden still alseep, hand flung across the bed carelessly, his hair shielding half his handsome features.

She shut the door behind her and threw her bag against the sleeping man.

Raiden sprang up from the bed reflexively, ready to attack whoever it was that dared sneak into his room, unannounced. When he saw who hovered over him, he sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose.

"What are you doing here?" He demanded in a tired voice.

"Aren’t we supposed to be on our way?" She asked.

Beta Raiden dropped on his pillow and reached for his phone lazily. On checking the time, he groaned and tossed the phone aside.

"Nancy? It’s 2:00am!"

"You said we had to leave before anyone else woke up."

He groaned and made himself more comfortable on the bed.

"I didn’t say this Early."

"Well, I’m already packed and ready to go and I think you should do the same."

"I still need to sleep for like an hour to regain my strength for driving."

"Raiden..." she whined in that her babish voice and he groaned, realizing that this was his future Luna he was ignoring like this. If she wasn’t as humble as she was, anyone else would have flipped him over the bed and tossed him out the window.

Groaning again, he rubbed his eyes and scratched the side of his face as got into the bathroom to change.

She stood there and patiently waited as he packed his things. It didn’t take up to twenty minutes before the duo left the mansion, heading to his car.

Male low Ranking Gamma guards were standing outside the gate when the car drove up the gates.

Raiden put down his side of the glass window and on recognizing him, they opened the gates.

They felt he was leaving a bit too early but he was one of the guests so it wasn’t their choice to keep him in here.

They did a thorough search at the back of his car and let him go. Nancy had a blanket over her head at the Passenger’s seat of the car and they assumed the figure was Alpha Koan sinsce they recognized who Raiden was.

It was twenty minutes after they’ve driven out did Raiden really start to feel tired and sleepy. Nancy kept looking out the window in awe, her heart thumping in excitement from having to see him.

However, when she turned, she realized how sleepy Raiden was. She bit her lip, feeling guilty for dragging him out by this time.

"I think I’m feeling a bit sleepy from having to wake up this early. Why don’t we rest at a hotel since we’re long gone from the mansion."

Raiden yawned.

"Really?"

"Yeah..."

He knew she wasn’t a bit sleepy and was suggesting this for him and he was a bit touched. He willingly agreed and they found a hotel in no time and secured a room for themselves.

He honestly didn’t want to share a room with her but did so after he learnt that Nancy couldn’t sleep in a room alone. It explained why she had to share a room with Talia back at the Pack.

He reluctantly agreed but crashed on the floor, spreading out the blankets to make a bed and taking a pillow from the bed. Nancy was satisfaied with whatever decision he made on where to sleep as long as she didn’t have to sleep alone in the room.

Alpha Koan was in bed, his one arm draped over his eyes as he slept in his room. No one was aware of his arrival except his cousin, Liliana and her mother Elizabeth who he called Lizzy. He took them both as family and let them live in the Alpha’s domain with him.

Liliana wouldn’t stop pestering him to tell him all that had happened during his stay in Dark Risers’s pack and always asked where Beta Raiden was. He got sick and tired and irritated as she hovered around him, buzzing like an annoying fly. If Lizzy hadn’t chased her off to bed, he wasn’t sure he’d be lying here in his room.

He sighed and groaned, suddenly not feeling sleepy anymore. He was thinking about Nancy coming here. That would be Two ’Lilianas’ giving him High blood pressure every single day and he would never hear the end of it if his cousin found out he tried to reject his mate.

If someone told him to describe Liliana In three words, he would say,

Annoying

Nosy

And Stubborn

But if she suddenly happened to run into trouble in a life or death situation, he’d rather die than let anything happen to her.

She was like the annoying sister he was sworn to protect as long as he lived and he had grown a soft spot for her after many years of living together.

She was 17 and extremely beautiful. Her lips were the first thing you’d notice about her facial features. They were heart-shaped, full and sensuous looking. Her hair was dark brown and her eyes were blue like his. She had this thick eyebrows that knotted at the middle of her forehead when she frowned. She was very jovial and had to be the strongest she-wolf he had ever seen. She was the type of person who would get along with Nancy on their first meeting. He just hoped she distracted her long enough for him to plot a strategy to banish her from his pack.

If she weren’t his cousin, he’d make HER his mate.
