HER ALPHA'S CARNAL SINS
Chapter 244: Where’s Aaron?

Chapter 244: Where’s Aaron?

Theresa backed to the edge and grazed her fingers over a small glass cabinet behind her, exactly where Valerie’s couldn’t see.

She had known every nook and cranny of the place, and knew that behind the small cabinet was fire alarm button.

Times like this when there was a fire in the upstairs halls and a cop wanted to inform the others downstairs that there was a fire, they’d usually ring this button which will send a pretty loud bell noise around the building, causing everyone to run out of the building naturally.

Everyone; including the person behind the security cameras right now.

"Hey... I asked you a question?" Valerie’s annoying voice came again, causing Theresa to flip the mini glass cabinet open on hearing her.

Valerie squinted her eyes at the stain on the cop’s shirt. Her grip instinctively tightened on her coffee cup and she raised her head to look at Theresa whose eyes was lowered.

"Mr. I... "

Brrrr! Brrrr! Brrrr!

The sound of a bell rang through the elevator and echoed through the hallways as the elevator automatically opened on the three floors to the last floor.

"Sh*t." Theresa swore and raised her head when she saw the elevator stopped at the fourth floor and she had to run down the flight of stairs to the last floor where she’ll make her escape.

There was panic everywhere as cops raced to and fro, fugutively shouting words Valerie couldn’t hear because her facial expression froze on seeing who was standing before her.

"I... It’s you."

Theresa didn’t bother to answer and only glanced at the security camera, noting it wasn’t beeping red.

Without hesitation, she flung her elbow to the side, catching Valerie by the nose with the cuff meant for her right hand.

"Sh*t!!!" She swore as she fell back against the elevator wall, holding her bleeding nose with her hand which also got stained with blood.

Theresa made to leave, but she turned to see Valerie sliding down the elevator wall, holding her nose while swearing in pain.

She might recover from this quickly and make it known to the other cops that the fire alarm was fake, and that there was a criminal on the loose.

She went back into the elevator and grabbed the back of Valerie’s neck, but Valerie had sneakily whipped out her gun and used the butt to slam it across her face.

Wincing, Theresa staggered back, but before Valerie could get back on her feet, she swung her leg and kicked the female cop down.

The walkie talkie she was trying to pull from her pants clattered to the ground.

"This is Officer Valerie Swooner... " Valerie said, panting quickly like a dying woman as she fell to her stomach to grab the walkie talkie, already screaming into it, but before she could say anything else, the nuzzle of a gun was pressed to her forehead and she froze.

In the midst of the fire alarm still going off and people talking over each other, no one hears the sound of a muffled scream and a gun shot.

Theresa panted heavily as she ran down the stairs, hand in pockets, eyes lowered, not even glancing up when she bumped into the officers.

After alighting the third flight of stairs, she began running across the hallways of the second floor, looking for the second flight of stairs to take down when she heard a male’s voice over the speakers.

"Everyone stay calm. If you’ve called the fire department then please inform them it was a false alarm. Officer Valerie Swooner was found murdered in elevator C4 fifth floor... we found the name tag Aaron Capricorn next to her. Aaron Capricorn report to the black room for investigation immediately. Aaron Capricorn report to the black room for investigation immediately."

With that, the bell sound went off, and the place turned peaceful and quiet again.

Theresa smirked as she lowered her eyes and passed a group of cops who ran past her looking for Aaron Capricorn.

"Good luck finding him." She said to herself as alighted the stairs; down to the first floor.

On her way down, she bumped into an officer, and along with some files, her hand slipped out of her pockets, and the handcuff made a clanking sound as it hit the wall.

The cop who was in the act of picking of his files raised his head and his eyes met with Theresa’s.

Aaron’s father

Mr. Rico Capricorn

"You!"

Theresa panicked, and tried to getaway, but he grabbed the scruff of her uniform shirt and dragged her back, and Theresa saw black spots as her head hit the wall.

"A*shole... how are you here? You’re the bitch that killed Officer Valerie, aren’t you? Where’s my son." He punched her, and her mouth was filled with blood immediately.

"I said where’s my son.. Where’s Aaron?"

Bam!

Another punch, and she concluded that there was no use of her right eyes anymore. It was fine now.

He grabbed her by the colar and pushed her up to the wall, strangling her. She rolled her eyes, trying to catch her breath and blood spilled from her mouth, down to her jaw.

"H... He’s... "

"Where? Where is he??!"

She flings her hand towards him and hits him across the jaw with the cuff meant for her right hand. As the man grunts, pulling away, she swings her hand again, more harder and the skin off his face tears off as he drops to the ground.

She swings it repeatedly and blood drips on the ground before he drops down to the floor with his head smashed from the iron cuff going through several times.

Panting, she leaned back on the wall, trying to catch her breath, before she glanced left to right.

Seeing no one coming, she runs out, towards the reception area.

There were sounds of people talking, probably here to meet their loved ones, but she’s still going, her heart pounding hard again her chest as she dips her two hands further into her pockets, trying to portray a calm, unbothered look even though her insides were trembling and fidgeting.

On getting out, her knees weaken and she almost drops to the ground, but she takes a full minute to raise her head and look into the moon directly without blinking

How long has it been since she had actually stood out here to admire the moon and twinkling stars like this?

There is a fluttering feeling in her heart. A feeling which made her feel as though she had wings to fly to to the top of the world.

The feeling of freedom.

She climbs down the stairs and walks into the driveway, ignoring people who casually glanced her way.

It was night, and most shops and stores were closed. She didn’t know how long she casually walked on the road with her hands still in her pockets, but she was careful not to run into fellow cops who paraded the streets at this hour.

Even if they came for her again, she had a mission to fulfill and wouldn’t care if she died after that.

Luckily, she finds a small store across the road and walks towards it.

She grows apprehensive on seeing a cop car by the side of the store. There are about three cops. They’re sipping coffee and eating donuts while talking, and don’t notice as she quietly makes her way inside.

Andrew was ready to close the store for the day and head home to his annoying money-sucking mother and the bitchiest gothic sister he’s ever had.

Sometimes, he just wished he could get a girlfriend and go live in a new, expensive house with her like his friends, but he was was stuck living with the two because they all had to share the money they got from this store since Ashley his twin sister wasn’t willing to work, and his mother was more of a housewife type.

Who the hell was he even kidding?

No girl would want someone like him. He wouldn’t say he was goodlooking, but he wasn’t bad looking either. He got the right lean muscular body for a teenage boy of 18, and he was a nice guy.

The fact that he could barely afford to buy flowers and chocolates to toast a girl was almost impossible and that’s what kept girls away from him.

A few cops had come in earlier for coffee and donuts, and he was listening to his playlist off his earpod while waiting for any last minute customers since the place was empty.

Suddenly the door was pushed open, and he faintly heard the sound of a bell cluttering softly in the background.

He doesn’t bother to glance up and continues listening to music off his phone while playing a subway surf game.

However, he glanced up casually and his eyes widened on seeing the backside of the slender figure disappear through aisles and his eyes widened at the curves the stranger possessed.

He couldn’t get his eyes off her for several seconds until she moved to another aisle and he shakes his head as if shaking the thought off his mind.

How could I be staring at the stranger like I’m a perverted psychopath?
