Naomi slightly jerked from his touch before clearing her throat, glancing away.

Barton glanced down and his brows twitched when he noticed what was going on behind the table.

Daniel smirked before trailing his hand back up to leave it palm-down on the table.

"Can we get this over with?" Harry impatiently asked, furiously tapping his feet against the floor board.

"Why the rush Harry?" Daniel said outloud, the smirk not faltering on his face. "We have time."

The man grumbling, snorted but said nothing still, causing Naomi to tense up when she recognized him.

"I don’t have time." The man mumbled and shut up after the other elders turned to him with sour expressions.

"I hope we can get along in the future." Naomi said after studying him, and Harry turned to her, surprised. "You’re right to be cautious and protective around the Alpha; seeing as I’m the natural enemy, and I respect that very much, but In some cases, when you push too far, you make me want to conclude that you are immature and inconsiderate. Only a complete fool would be scared of someone harmless. I may seem dangerous, but I assure you, I’m better than most werewolves, especially the rouges. "Well, get it out of your mind, idiot. Royce asked me to talk to you, because after this morning, you just started avoiding him. You won’t talk to him, and you won’t even stay in the same room with him."

Brittany just sighed and glanced down, folding her hands, swallowing hard.

"It’s none of my business, and I’m honestly not supposed to care, but Royce is also my friend and not just my Beta, and he won’t concentrate when the reality of his mate avoiding him bugs him every second. I told Talia to talk to you, but I realized she went out of town for shopping. You know she’ll be travelling in a few days and has to get everything in order and check."

"No... I just hopes it all turns out for the better when she arrives." Royce sighed again, yanking his hair out in frustration.

"So that’s it. The day after tomorrow is the Luna’s ceremony. Full moon night. Perfect."

When he turned to his side and noticed Axle watching him, he almost choked on his drink.

"Were you here the entire time???"

"The meeting’s over. You can go back to your room... there’s nothing else for you to do." He said, narrowing his eyes at her.

"There’s nothing else for me to do. That’s the problem. Don’t you guys do anything fun here? I can’t start training Naomi until she’s been marked and until then, I don’t know what to do."

He wanted to say yes, but he asked.

"Trust me..." He threw the can into the recycle bin before grabbing her wrist. "There are pretty much a billion more fun things than eating kidneys."
