Chapter 64: Metal Chains
Chapter 64: Metal Chains
The room was dark, but even in the dim light, Riven could tell it was expensive.
Velvet drapes hung heavy over the tall windows, blocking out whatever view might have been waiting beyond. The walls were lined with dark wood, polished to perfection, and the flickering golden glow of the wall sconces cast shadows that danced like ghosts along the carved furniture.
Riven exhaled softly. Fancy. Terrifyingly fancy.
His first instinct was to get a better look at his surroundings. He took a hesitant step toward the window, fingers brushing against the thick curtain. If he could just pull it back, and let some light in.
But before he could move an inch further, the door creaked open.
His ears twitched. He turned sharply, only to see the unmistakable figure of Soran stepping inside, his presence making the air suddenly feel too thick to breathe in properly.
Riven swallowed. The man was as imposing as ever, his tailored dark clothes pristine, his deep blond hair catching the flickering light just enough to make him look almost otherworldly. But what made Riven’s stomach twist with unease wasn’t Soran’s unreadable expression.
It was what he was holding.
Chains.
Not just any chains—old, worn ones. They were dull silver, slightly smaller than normal restraints, meant for someone young, someone smaller. Maybe used by Soran when he was a child or now meant for Riven.
Riven’s breath caught in his throat as realisation settled in. Soran wanted a recreation, except he would not be the victim this time. Riven backed away a little, he was nervous.
The way Soran’s long fingers gripped them with ease, like they were no heavier than a ribbon. The way his eyes flickered—not with amusement, not with kindness, but something colder, deeper.
This wasn’t a game.
The tension in the room was almost suffocating, but despite the very rational part of his brain telling him to be terrified, another part of him—the reckless, stupid, endlessly curious part—couldn’t help but wonder.
What exactly was going to happen to him?
He should have been struggling. He should have been protesting. But instead, Riven stood there, shivering slightly, waiting.
For what, he wasn’t sure.
Soran took a slow, deliberate step closer. The chains clinked softly in his grasp, the sound far too intimate, "Why are you backing away, didn’t you say you like me?"
Riven forced out a shaky laugh, trying to ignore how his heartbeat betrayed him. "What if I said that I lied."
Soran’s eyes darkened, "Are you sure you want to say that?"
NO! Riven did not want to say that! He was making too many mistakes! Why was dealing with a yandere so difficult! Eli had it easier, it’s unfair huhuhu!
The chains were cold against Riven’s wrists, their polished silver gleam catching the candlelight as they held him in place. They weren’t crude restraints meant for suffering—they were something far more deliberate, something custom-made for submission.
The metal links were adorned with intricate etchings, the craftsmanship so fine that Riven might have admired them under different circumstances. But right now, he was too preoccupied with the weight of Soran’s presence hovering over him.
Although it felt insane for Soran to have kept these, Riven was not the one to judge. If he was going to punish him, he knew it included rough boinking and he was A-okay with that.
His hands were already bound above his head, secured to the velvet-lined headboard, limiting his movements to nothing more than slight, useless struggles. It was both maddening and thrilling—the way Soran controlled the situation so effortlessly.
Riven swallowed hard when Soran reached for his ankles. "No—" he began, his voice a mix of protest and nervous excitement, but he was cut off immediately.
Soran’s gaze darkened, his fingers tightening around Riven’s ankle as he slowly, deliberately ran his hand upward, pressing down just enough to make Riven’s breath hitch. "You don’t tell me what to do," Soran murmured, his voice edged with danger. "I don’t recall giving you a choice."
Okay, but what if he wanted to go to the bathroom! That was Riven’s main concern right now!
Riven’s ears twitched, his body shivering—not from cold, but from the raw anticipation coiling inside him. He should have known better than to provoke Soran, but when had he ever done the sensible thing?
Soran leaned in, his breath warm against Riven’s ear as he whispered, "If you insist on resisting me, I’ll have to punish you."
A shiver ran down Riven’s spine, his fingers curling into fists against the restraints. "What—what kind of punish—"
A sharp tap against his inner thigh made him jolt. The sensation wasn’t painful, but it carried a firm warning. Soran had all the control, and he was making sure Riven understood it completely.
Riven bit his lip, his body heating under Soran’s methodical touch. Every movement was measured, every brush of fingers against his skin intentional, sending an unbearable mix of frustration and exhilaration through him. The chains clinked softly as he instinctively tried to shift, only to find himself completely at Soran’s mercy.
Soran’s thumb reached for Riven’s bottom lip that he was biting. In a quick motion he pulled it out, "Only I can cause you pain. Remember that."
He seemed pretty satisfied at seeing how helpless Riven was. His tail exposed every emotion he felt, Riven felt surprised, but he did not feel fear, which annoyed and intrigued Soran more. If only he had an additional chain for that tail of his...
Then, without another word, he clasped the final set of chains around Riven’s ankles, securing them to the posts at the foot of the bed. Bound completely, unable to do anything but wait, Riven’s breath came quicker.
Soran leaned back to admire his work, his expression unreadable yet smoldering with authority. "Perfect," he murmured. "You look like you were made to be restrained."
Riven swallowed, his heart pounding against his ribs. He would never admit it, but something about the way Soran tied him down with such luxury and control sent a thrill through him. Was it boinking time?
