Chapter 221: Leave!
Chapter 221: Leave!
As he chewed slowly, trying to focus on the taste of the food rather than the nagging questions in his mind, something clicked into place.Leon always acted like an ocean’s wave, the push and pull was something he got used to by now. But suddenly he saw something dawn on Leon before he decided to run away.
Riven’s heartbeat quickened as he pieced it all together: Leon remembered last night. He was right... Wasn’t he? He could not find any other explanation for his weird behaviour.
Determined to get answers, Riven rose from the table. As much as he loved food, that was not important right now!
He needed to confront Leon. That man had run away far too many times in just one day, he was not going to stand for it. He had better face him like a brave lion, he boasts himself to be.
As he made his way towards Leon’s room, the tension in his gut shifted from uncertainty to a surge of anticipation. What if he confronts Leon and Leon admits it... Did he hate it... He did not think so... Otherwise, why did he cook a meal for him and divulge some secrets about his past?
Did he suddenly remember everything? Was that how these things work? Riven did not know, he had never been that drunk before. His heart was beating out of his chest. He was fine as long as Leon did not completely reject him.
Riven stood outside Leon’s door, his fist balled to knock vigourously. But before that he wanted to give Leon a heads up. "Leon, open the door," he commanded, his tone firm and unyielding, a hint of the domineering top he wanted to embody. He was pretty pleased with the outcome.
Inside, Leon’s frustration boiled over. "What? No! Leave! I locked myself for a reason!" His voice was a low growl, a mix of anger and confusion. He wasn’t mad at Riven specifically, but the tension in his chest had to go somewhere, and Riven was the target of his misplaced wrath.
Riven’s heart raced at the challenge. He refused to back down, he was done with this game of avoidance. "If you don’t let me in, I’ll break down the door!" The declaration hung in the air, and he felt prideful at his own bravado. It was the kind of boldness that screamed top energy, it was amazing!
Is this character development? He thought so! From a bratty bottom to a domineering top, just look at the character arc! The journey!
Leon scoffed, the sound muffled through the door. "You wouldn’t dare!"
"Oh, I would," Riven replied with a smirk, his chest puffing out slightly. He could almost picture the expression on Leon’s face—a mix of disbelief and irritation. "You think I’m playing around? Let me in, Leon. We need to talk."
Silence lingered for a moment. Riven was worried about the wrong thing though. He said he would break down the door but was he strong enough? He bruised like a peach! He cannot do that to his precious body.
So he did his best to get Leon to open the door, "Leon I command it, remember the arrangement!"
He heard a loud sound. Leon probably threw something in anger. But there was movement...
He heard shuffling on the other side, the sound of Leon’s footsteps approaching the door. Riven straightened up, ready for whatever might come next. He could feel Leon’s frustration but he wanted to confirm something.
"Why are you being such an asshole?" Leon’s voice was still laced with anger. His face was red with anger... Or maybe some embaressment too.
"Why are you avoiding me?" Riven countered. Being a top was hard when the man you want to top was taller than you.
"When?! I taught you how to ride a horse in the morning." Leon folded his arms. He was ready to slam the door shut, he would not let Riven enter the room.
"Come on now, we both know that you are avoiding me. Just let me in I want to talk, I care about you." Riven’s tone softened a lot at this point but Leon held firm.
"We have nothing to talk about. You will be on your way in two days, and if you really care, make sure to tell my mother to give me my title back." Leon scowled and prepared to slam the door shut when Riven intervened.
He stopped the door midway using his strength... This surprised him even... Cough, he then asked the million dollar question, "Do you remember last night?"
"Wh- what? What are you talking about-" Leon faltered, the strength he used to slam the door was immediately gone. Was his acting that bad? Damn it. No, he could not let Riven enter his room.
"So you do remember. Did you hate it?" Riven took a step forward, their bodies were very close and his scent that enamoured Leon to begin with was luring him in again.
Leon hesitated, the answer swirling in his mind. No, he didn’t hate it. But that was exactly what gnawed at him... He hated that he didn’t hate it.
Seeing the uncertainty in Leon’s eyes, Riven pressed on, taking another step forward. Leon instinctively stepped back, "Did you hate it when I kissed you?"
Each question came with a step, each one pushing Leon further into a corner both physically and emotionally. "Did you hate it when my body pressed against yours?" Riven’s tone turned heated, his breath brushing against Leon’s face.
Leon’s resolve began to crumble, his heart racing. "Riven, sto—"
"Did you hate it when I took you into my mouth?" Riven’s voice dropped to a whisper, filled with a knowing seduction that made Leon’s breath hitch. The raw memory of that moment flooded back, and he felt heat pooling in his gut, craving more.
"Stop it, Riven. I asked you to leave!" Leon insisted again, but it came out more as a plea than a command.
"Do you really want me to leave?"
