Heavenly Harem Sect -
Chapter 248 - 248: Praise the Sect Master!
[: 3rd POV :]
Hazia's emerald eyes gazed upon the cultivators with a fierce intensity that made them quiver in dread.
Not a single sound was heard except for their hearts pounding in their chests.
Without warning, Hazia slowly raised her foot high above her head before slamming it down onto the unfortunate cultivator's forehead.
His skull crackled and splattered like breaking glass as his lifeless body fell to the ground with a dull thud.
The other cultivators could only watch in terror while Hazia calmly surveyed the aftermath of her devastating attack.
His skull burst open with a thunderous sound, showering the surrounding area with horrific blood and chunks of his brain.
The nearby residents cried out in terror, some of them trembled tremendously as they were overwhelmed with fear.
Tears streaming down their faces, one muttered in shock "Oh my God!".
Their faces pale with fear they stared in horror at what remained of the body.
The desperate cries of the citizens below echoed throughout the atmosphere, as Hazia's forces pressed down on them mercilessly.
The cultivators, who had expected a overwhelming fight between themselves and Hazia, were now struck with terror as they watched in shock at the sudden outbreak of violence from her side.
With nowhere to turn for help, many residents fainted from the immense pressure that Hazia's aura brought forth.
"As expected of a worm, what a wretchedly revolting blood!"
Hazia recoiled with disdain as she hastily wiped away any trace that the repulsive liquid had touched her feet.
Malie, Rezia, Telly and the rest of the sisters stood motionless, watching the scene unfold without so much as an expression of emotion etched on their faces.
They were a stark contrast to some of the other cultivators, who were prone to dramatic outbursts at times like these.
Clarosia's eyes glimmered with a newfound admiration and desire.
She wanted to prove she was as capable as her sister, and the rest of the cultivators could feel her energy shifting.
"Now, what should we do with the rest?"
Her voice had taken a darker tone, laced with unbridled killing intent that sent shivers down the spines of her comrades.
They all knew she meant business.
"P-Please spare us!"
One of them shrieked in fear, their trembling legs not able to carry them away from the danger.
They watched how their leader, who was normally strong and fearless, had filled with such terror that his body shook uncontrollably.
The woman standing before him exuded a power that made even the most valiant quiver.
If she could crush the mightiest amongst them as easily as if he were a balloon, what hope did they have?
She had already killed without qualm and it seemed like she was ready to do it again.
Hazia frowned her eyebrow, her disbelief obvious.
"Spare you? Why should I,"
She spoke sternly, "when you dare to lay your hands on our beloved sister from the Heavenly Harem Sect?"
Her lips curled in contempt as she intoned the sect's name with an emphasis that left no doubt of her emotions.
His voice quavered with a fear he couldn't suppress as he stuttered.
"W-We didn't know t-that she is from the Heavenly Harem S-Sect!"
He was trying to make it sound like he had known all along of Clarosia's identity, even though none of them had an inkling of what the mysterious 'Heavenly Harem Sect' was.
His jittery recoil gave away his terror at this unknown power.
The residents of the city and even those throughout the continent had never heard of such a sect before.
Not a single soul could explain what the Heavenly Harem Sect was, as they all were on the ground.
They were bewildered, utterly clueless to the overbearing power that emitted from her.
The cultivator was wrestling with an internal conflict.
He had to stay alive and escape from Hazia's grasp, but to do that, he had to pretend he hadn't noticed Clarosia's identity.
But his answer backfired as he watched a strange smile curl up on her lips.
"So, you're telling me that none of you were aware of the Heavenly Harem Sect?"
He felt an eerie sensation and the hairs on the back of his neck stood up.
His heart raced with panic and fear as he realized the gravity of his mistake.
It was far worse than he'd initially thought
Hazia's lips curled up into a sinister smirk.
The screws already beginning to loosen as her mind was engulfed in madness at the thought of introducing the citizens of the city to the Heavenly Harem Sect.
"Then, it seems that all of you should be enlightened by Heavenly Harem Sect!"
She said in a twisted voice, her eyes twinkling with a malevolent glee.
All of them on the ground were taken aback by her enthusiasm, unaware of what she truly meant.
They had never heard tales of the mysterious sect and knew nothing about its true power and ideology.
But that was why the sisters were here.
They were to enlighten the people of the city on all things related to the Heavenly Harem Sect.
But with the sudden shift of events, a sinister smirk stretched across her lips.
She had waited for this moment, to preach her ideas about the Heavenly Harem Sect and indoctrinate all of them into its ideology.
"Then, I shall preach about the Heavenly Harem Sect,"
She declared with an eerie smile that sent a chill up their spines.
"W-What?"
The cultivator and his group nervously glanced around as they contemplated what she could possibly mean.
Little did they know of the torment that awaited him.
Her voice was stern and unyielding.
"Firstly, you must pay respect to our great leader, Sect Master Daniel of the Heavenly Harem Sect."
She paused for a beat and then continued.
"Praise his name now."
"W-What?" He stuttered.
The young man's eyes widened in confusion and he opened his mouth to speak.
But before he could get out any words, her expression had morphed from one of patience to one of barely suppressed rage.
Suddenly, an invisible force seemed to surround him, squeezing tightly on all sides like an invisible vice.
A pained cry escaped his lips as he felt the power of her spiritual energy pressing down on him.
"Aghhhhhh!"
He screamed loudly, contorting in pain as he braced himself against the intense pressure, and to add on, he felt pain on his shoulder.
The cultivators around him gasped as they finally noticed the blood-stained sword lodged between his shoulders.
His screams pierced the air like a wail of agony, echoing off the surrounding walls.
He writhed and and trembled with each new wave of pain, his body wiggling like a snake shaking off its skin.
"W-What's going on?"
One of them muttered in confusion.
It was only when they looked closer that they understood why he was screaming.
"It hurts!"
He shouted, his voice quavering through the tears streaming down
Hazia's voice filled the air like a hiss, making the atmosphere chill with its venomous words.
"Didn't I tell you to praise his name?"
The cultivator was too consumed by pain to hear her words, and he kept screaming in agony, infuriating Hazia even further.
"I said praise his name and not SHOUTING!"
Her voice thundered throughout the room, instilling fear into the cultivator so powerful that it eclipsed away any of the pain he was feeling.
He stuttered reluctantly, trying to contain his breathing from the pain coursing through him.
"P-Praise the Sect Master"
The force of her glare sent shivers down his spine, and he knew he couldn't disobey her.
"What are you all doing?"
She slowly moved her eyes around the circle of cultivators, taking in their collective fear.
Her voice drenched in authority and commanded obedience.
No one dared speak for what felt like an eternity.
"What are you all waiting for?"
She calmly repeated her words once more and only then did they realized what she had meant.
They trembled at the realization that she was not joking around.
One of them spoke feverishly, "P-Paise the Sect Master of the Heavenly Harem Sect!"
Without delay, the others echoed his statement.
"Praise the S-Sect Master of the Heavenly Harem Sect!"
They shouted in a unified voice.
The sound reverberated within the chamber, carrying with it an air of fear.
"How about the residents?"
Hazia shouted into the crowd, brandishing her sword as if to make a point.
"Are you all not keen in praising our Lord?"
No one dared move or make a sound.
But their silence was enough.
They nodded frantically, eyes wide with terror, knowing that if they refused there would be dire consequences.
Hazia grinned maliciously, feeling satisfied by their responses.
The crowd of residents had seen how Hazia, giddy with excitement to please her master Daniel, had slain the cultivator leader.
They were filled with a mixture of fear for this crazed young girl.
"Praise Him! Praise Him!"
She shouted in a mad frenzy.
The residents obeyed without second-thought, their voices chiming in as one.
Hazia took a step back from them, rocking on her feet as she listened to their recitations. A soft smile curved her lips.
"This sounds good to my ears,"
She purred, eyes glowing manically in the late afternoon light.
She was intoxicated by their adoration for her master.
it was almost enough to make up for all they had done wrong.
Almost.
