Reynolds and Kim stared at Jane and everyone staring at them with flabbergasted expressions.

The atmosphere had turned extremely awkward after Jane blurted out the question just like that.

" Oh come on, it’s what you all have been meaning to ask right?" She threw her hands sideways as she clicked her tongue defensively as though someone was berating her for targeting the couple just now.

The shy Kim couldn’t take her shamelessness anymore and retorted, surprisingly , shocking everyone " It’s not like you don’t know the ins and outs of our relationship right?. You are only using this avenue as an opportunity to make everyone tease us"

" Well that’s surprising"

" Yeah I know right?. Didn’t know Kim could talk that much"

Reynolds and Kim " these guys..."

The group had never seen Kim speak much. She seemed like the shy reserved type. However seeing her retort so confidently to Jane was surprising to them.

No one deemed her a pushover or something.

However , it was really surprising to see her speak like that in the midst of everyone .

Honestly, she sometimes spoke like this,but it was with two or three people around .

Everyone however brushed away the surprise, as she had probably become very comfortable amongst the group, and that’s why she was able to communicate like this.

There was something with the shy reserved kind of people. They found it hard to open up and get used to people’s presence . However when they did, they often became the most talkative in the circle.

Reynolds scrached his chin then spoke " Actually we kinda had a bit of a tensious argument concerning our past ,after which she opted we get back together .One thing led to another and here we are ".Reynolds skipped the part about how much he had struggled to gather the courage to give Kim another chance and how he had ultimately come to a decision in the end due to Donalds advice.

The old man had personally testified about how Kim had been miserable all this while without him and how she had constantly wished to get him back . He had told the younger gentleman to not blow his chances away due to issues of the past. He used himself and Helena as a perfect example, expressing that there were times where you had to let a partner who offended you in the past go .

However there were also people who always deserved a second chance. After all, at least you’d know that even if it didn’t work in the end after giving them a second chance,you’d have at least tried all you could.

Ultimately, Reynolds had come to a decision to give the relationship a chance again after the sound council of his mentor .

Which had led to the current situation.

Everyone officially cheered them and congratulated the couple once again for getting back together and congratulated them too for getting engaged .

The next couple of weeks would be quite hectic with wedding preps under way.

The federation underwent a lot of changes in the next few days .

Various beasts could be seen roaming the streets,albeit this time, they were not causing harm,due to being under the control of individuals ,thanks to the terror repelling devices.

Awakeners were consuming breakthrough speed acceleration potions to increase their breakthrough speed.

In fact people even sold their houses to afford the money for these miraculous potions.

Due to this, individuals with great talents who would have taken a lot of time to break through to higher ranks managed to spend just considerable effort to achieve breakthroughs.

Their earnings from becoming stronger were enough to get them their houses and sacrificed fortunes back without much effort.

Also due to the eyes of federation citizens being opened about the fact that there were various powerhouses in the universe , many awakened had a sense of urgency to increase their strength.

The earthlings became more united.

At this point, individuals, guilds and organisations that had feuds against one another had to forget about all these issues and focus on growing stronger.

Awakeners who had the Talent to become extremely strong did not waste their time on mundane activities anymore.

Although the powerhouses managed to protect the federation, the number of lives that had been lost during the recent occurences were enough to make them realize that the only way to be truly safe was to have personal strength.

Kailen had been inaugurated as Federation president during this two weeks period.

The whole federation had cheered that day and celebrated the Father of the Federation .

Although Kailen had opted against it, a large statue of him had been constructed at the All Nations Conference Center alongside the already existing ones of the past predecessors of the Federation that had played extremely crucial roles during the era of the test change .

Kailen had argued strongly that if his statue were to be placed there, that of Reynolds and those old monsters like Helena and co should be placed there too as their contributions had been phenomenal for a long time, even if he had played a crucial role in the events that had occured recently.

Kailen however got debunked as soon as he raised this concern .

Strangely, even Arrie seemed mad at him at the time for his actions, wihich was quite puzzling.

Currently, he stood at the All Nations Conference Center with Arrie, Micheal , and Charles.

They were about to head to Kailen’s parents grave in New Alexandria Cemetery.

However the group had dragged him here to have a look of the statue .

Everyone nodded as they turned around to leave.

Everfrost appeared before them in his human form, the obsidian wyvern donned in some sort of hoodie and jeans.

Th sight was a funny one to behold.

Kailen’s shadow creatures had been trying to blend into human culture for some reason.

This guy has chosen to wear hoodies,just like Kailen.

" See, finally someone gets me. Everfrost appreciates my fashion sense "

Kailen voiced with confidence.

" This.." Arrie .

As for Micheal he just facepalmed.

Charles signed. Kailen was just a crazy weirdo when it came to hoodies.

The shadow creature beamed with joy at the compliment of Kailen, stuttering and saying " You honor me,my lord"

Quickly he turned into his wyvern form as the group landed on his back, the creature triggering gusts of winds as he soared into the skies.

Kailen was finally ready to visit his parents grave ,this time,having fulfilled the oath he made to them a few months ago .
