"YOONYOON was smiling when I went to him to wish him good luck."

Yuno almost choked on his popcorn because of what Moon Noa said.

But his boss wasn’t done "interrogating" him yet.

"Did you already tell him that you plan to give him a proper Guiding after the match?"

"Yes, Sajangnim," Yuno said, his eyes glued to the fighting arena because he was too embarrassed to face his boss. "Is there something wrong with that?"

"I just thought it would have been more of a surprise had you told Yoonyoon about your reward after the match," Moon Noa complained lightheartedly. Honestly, whining shouldn’t have suited a forty-year-old man like him. But Moon Noa’s youthful and pretty face made up for it. "I think Yoonyoon’s surprised face after the match would have been funnier."

This must be why Ahjuhyung doesn’t like Sajangnim.

"Don’t you think so, Yuyu?"

"Sajangnim, that kind of surprise is only reserved between lovers," Yuno said bluntly. "I told Ahjuhyung about his reward before the match because I want him to go beyond my expectations."

"Ah, I see."

He knew that his boss was disappointed with his answer, but he didn’t regret it.

"Yuyu."

"Yes, Sajangnim?"

"Don’t make the same mistake as you did recently, okay?" Moon Noa reminded him. "Don’t let Yoonyoon suck out your life force again."

"Yes, Sajangnim. I know this will sound like a lame excuse, but I probably lowered my guard because it was my first time Guiding an Esper after a long time."

It was different from the time he did an Emergency Guiding on Ki Gayoon before.

After all, it was just skinship.

Yuno could only use his life force to guide an Esper through kissing or sex.

"Yuyu, you know what will happen once you guide Yoonyoon the "E-Class way," don’t you?" Moon Noa asked him carefully. "You can’t hide your presence anymore once you start."

Right.

There was a reason why not even an S-Class Guide like Bambi couldn’t tell that he was a Guide during their first meeting.

I was able to hide my presence from Espers and Guides because my ability was sealed.

"It’s alright, Sajangnim," Yuno said confidently while looking at Ki Gayoon’s (ridiculously) handsome face on the big screen. "Ahjuhyung can protect me."

"GAYOON Oppa looks like he’s in a good mood."

Bambi heard what Lee Sarang said, and he silently agreed with her.

Normally, a comment like that could make the Esper’s Guide jealous.

But Mo Hanjin— Lee Sarang’s exclusive Guide— didn’t care because he was busy playing games on his phone. In fact, Mo Hanjin was sitting on the other end of the sofa as if he didn’t want to be near Lee Sarang.

"Did that bastard get more handsome again?" Jin Sooin complained, sitting on the other sofa like a queen while having red wine. "Why does he age like a fine wine?"

"Isn’t it because he’s the devil reincarnate?" Rebecca asked playfully while leaning her head on Jin Sooin’s shoulder. "A devil should at least be that handsome if they want to tempt humans into committing sins."

"That’s so fucking corny," Matthew— who was sitting on a recliner sofa with the quiet Kim Jaeha on his lap— complained. "Ki Gayoon isn’t that handsome."

Bambi turned to Matthew. "I know you don’t like Gayoon Hyung, but don’t lie. He’s handsome."

Matthew just rolled his eyes.

"Is Ki Gayoon more handsome than me?"

Haaah.

It wasn’t Matthew but Ryu Sungbin who threw that question at Bambi.

Why is he being childish?

Bambi looked at Ryu Sungbin who was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed over his chest. "Hyung, let’s not do this here."

Ryu Sungbin raised an eyebrow. "Why? Is it a difficult question to answer?"

Just like that, the atmosphere in that VIP Box Section room went cold.

Haaah.

"Then answer this first, Hyung," Bambi said, smiling at Ryu Sungbin sarcastically. "Is Guide Moon Noa-ssi prettier than me?"

Ryu Sungbin opened his mouth to speak, but...

"Oh!" Kim Jaeha exclaimed loudly, the maknae’s eyes glued to the arena. "That was fast."

Everyone in the room immediately turned to the arena.

Bambi was surprised to see Yang Youngjae’s head already bleeding while Ki Gayoon was just standing there with a smirk on his face.

But that wasn’t the only problem.

The entire stage had changed— the concrete floor had turned into earth.

What just happened?

"KI GAYOON, do you know why I accepted this duel without hesitation?"

"I don’t care," Ki Gayoon said bluntly, his hand in his pocket as he played with his "weapon" of choice for this match. "If you didn’t accept this challenge, I still would have looked for you to kill you."

Yang Youngjae let out a sigh. "I’ll show you I’m different from the A-Class Esper Yang Youngjae that you met years ago."

"I don’t even remember meeting you, dude."

"You haven’t really changed at all, Ki Gayoon. You’re still arrogant. And you don’t even show proper respect to your opponent. But, don’t worry, I’ll take you down a peg today."

"Hey, you talk too much. As soon as the buzzer goes off, I’m attacking you," Gayoon said, grabbing his "weapon." "How’s that for showing respect to my opponent?"

Yang Youngjae just sighed while shaking his head. "I won’t let a scumbag like you join the Top 5."

EEENNNGGG!

That was the sound of the buzzer going off.

Gayoon immediately pulled out the ring pull— from the canned coffee that Noh Yuno gave him the other day— and threw it at Yang Youngjae before the bastard could even use his ability.

The ring pull flew towards Yang Youngjae as quickly as a lightning bolt would.

It was like getting shot by a bullet between the eyes.

Unfortunately for Gayoon, the ring pull didn’t enter Yang Youngjae’s skull.

Well, that bastard is still an S-Class Esper blessed with a sturdy body.

At least, Yang Youngjae looked disoriented— slowing down his reaction time.

After all, as soon as the buzz went off, the entire fighting arena had been under Gayoon’s <House Sharing Skill>.

Yes, it was the same skill that he had shown Noh Yuno before.

And it was also a skill that he was showing the world for the first time.

Ah, the things I do for you, Noh Yuno.

A giant cube-shaped barrier that touched the high ceiling appeared, trapping the entire stage under it— separating Gayoon and Yang Youngjae from everyone and everything outside the barrier.

And, just like what I said to Noh Yuno before, leaving the barrier would send us straight to a dungeon.

Everyone could still see Gayoon and Yang Youngjae, as well as the barrier.

But we’re already in a different dimension.

His opponent hadn’t realized that, though.

While Yang Youngjae was busy processing that a simple ring pull almost broke his skull, Gayoon snapped his fingers— creating a quicksand that immediately swallowed the opponent.

That snapped Yang Youngjae out of the trance.

The opponent controlled his gravitational field to lift himself by decreasing the effects of gravity on himself.

But it was already too late.

Gayoon snapped his fingers again, using his <Telekinetic Destruction Skill> to blow up a part of the roof, causing it to collapse— the huge debris falling on Yang Youngjae quickly. The huge debris, which was already covered with his Mana, fell that fast because he used his <Acceleration Manipulation Skill>.

Yang Youngjae didn’t see it coming, causing him to plummet to the ground after getting hit by the huge debris falling like a meteorite.

Ah, the audience— definitely the Civilians— all screamed in fear when they thought the roof would collapse on them. But it didn’t happen, of course. The other debris remained suspended in the air because Gayoon used two techniques to ensure no one would get hurt.

First, he used <Levitation> to keep things afloat.

Second, he used <Force-Field Generation> to protect the Civilians by creating barriers made of his telekinetic energy.

Yes, Gayoon was using (and showing off) several skills at once on purpose.

The more energy I drain, the more Guiding I’ll receive from Noh Yuno later.

Heh.

Gayoon then used his <Telekinetic Flight Skill> to fly towards Yang Yongjae, stomping on the opponent’s back with one foot to keep him from standing up. "Yang Youngjae, your Gravity Manipulation Skill is wasted on a weakass like you."
