Chapter 2202 - 2202: Trustworthy Slaves.

Since their slaves need to be active, Legion plans to make the three of them attack other gangs and expand their territory.

Unfortunately, the three slots are already full. There is no extra slot for the rank 4 divine flesh to fall onto it. So the three divine flesh already in place have to fight with the rank 4 divine flesh.

In this fight, the rank 4 divine flesh must force all three previous divine flesh into their body. It won't force one divine flesh. It will force all three because it is too strong.

If the advancement requirement has not been met, the three divine flesh won't move. They will fight the rank 4 divine flesh head-on, which will cause the godclad to explode.

The ability to replenish life energy with spiritual energy means that the stamina of the body can be replenished by drinking energy water too. It also means that a rank 4 being doesn't need all of their organs to live and can always recover as long as they have a little life left in them.

Lastly, the fusion of three divine flesh with the body is the reason why the corpse of a rank 4 being can be forged into a divine weapon. So the bloody heart in their forehead contains some divine flesh that they can retrieve one day if they need it.

This fusion of the human body and divine flesh marks the turning point where godclads stop being humans. From this moment on, godclads stop being the weak, fragile race that they used to be.

Of course, this advancement will give them a lot of power too. For one, their capacity for spiritual energy will double since their body can now contain spiritual energy too.

This doubling of spiritual energy is why rank 3 godclads with a single pathway will have 40 units of spiritual energy, but their capacity will soar to 160 units instead of 80 units when they advance to rank 4.

They enjoyed all of these boosts to their power with none of the disadvantages. Their body became stronger without any side effects. They only felt a little discomfort.

Usually, rank 4 godclads feel a lot of pain as soon as they advance. It is because the process of transformation of their bodies is very painful.

After the pain comes the fight for control of the body. This fight is between the divine flesh and humans. This is where the most difficult part of becoming a rank 4 godclad lies. The outcome of the fight will determine the success of the advancement or its failure.

It is already difficult for godclads to resist the constant droning of the three divine flesh who want to take over their bodies.

The increase in the difficulty of resisting this temptation when a fourth, more powerful divine flesh is introduced into their existence is at least twice what it was before.

This difficulty gets doubled again when the divine flesh finally gains access to the body and begins transforming it. The three divine flesh aren't going to do this transformation for free.

The divine flesh in their body are always going to go too far trying to turn their body into the image of the source of the pathway. If not for the fact that three small divine flesh are not enough to completely transform the body, humans would never be able to survive the transformation.
