GREED: ALL FOR WHAT?
Chapter 2196 - 2196: Intangible Wind.

War is one of the reasons why the allocation of energy water to the inhabitants of a place will be reduced.

Since war is coming to Ivory Town, many people are not optimistic about their current situation. It is why many people decided to leave now that they had the choice and chance to.

The lamp bearers finally arrived one and a half months after the death of Sheckel.

The reinforcement that she asked for should have arrived one month and a week ago. But the reinforcement heard of her death and everything that happened to her through the blood network.

The reinforcement team was composed of just ten lamp bearers. Ten wasn't going to change the situation, so they returned to get more helpers instead of going to Ivory Town to die.

It took a month and a week later for them to report the death of Sheckel, ask for more lamp bearers, set off, and arrive at Ivory Town.

The success or failure of this expedition is not obvious to an observer because the team of lamp bearers is only 15. That is just 5 more than the initial number of lamp bearers that should have arrived one month and one week ago.

So it took them one month and one week for them to acquire five more lamp bearers. This is even though they arrived on the train.

At a glance, it seems the lamp bearers were of two groups because they were dressed differently. One group was dressed in spotless white robes, while the other group was dressed in black robes and wearing armor.

The group wearing white robes is the Inquisition group. There are five lamp bearers in this group. This group looks like tourists. They look as if they came to Ivory Town for sightseeing.

The others wearing the black armor are the executioner group. There are ten lamp bearers in this group, and they were armed to the teeth.

The first place that they went to was where the first mutant attacks began. They worked their way from there up to the point where Sheckel died.

One of the lamp bearers in the inquisition group bent down to grab the ashes of Sheckel's corpse and use the rank 3 divine ability of the pathway of death on it.

As soon as Ghost was used, the ashes began to swirl around as if a wind was moving them around. If there was a wind, then it had to be intangible because none of the lamp bearers could sense it.

The wind moved the ashes around the location while picking up ashes belonging to Sheckel along the way. Soon a handful of ashes became large enough to fill a small bag with ashes.

The ashes were dragged together and then given life by the intangible wind. This caused the ashes to form the shape of a humanoid being and glow eerily.

Another inquisitor came forward and asked the ghost that had been formed, "Who are you?"

The ghost replied with a question, "Bushwick?"

The lamp bearers looked at each other in confusion. The one who asked the question sighed and asked another question.

"How did you die?"

The ghost replied, "Bushwick?"

There was a third question. "Who killed you?"

This time, the ghost replied with certainty, "Bushwick."

It roared again without being asked. "Bushwick!!!"

Its shout caused the light of the glowing ashes to dim considerably. But the ghost was still agitated. It kept calling out Bushwick over and over again.

The inquisitor asking the questions saw this and said to the rank 3 godclad of the pathway of death, "Let her go. He or she has suffered enough."

The rank 3 necromancer nodded and did as he was told. He deactivated the effect of the divine ability. This caused the light of the glowing ashes to go out immediately.

The wind causing the ashes to levitate also disappeared, so the ashes fell to the ground and formed a small heap on the ground.

The lamp bearers raised more ghosts. Some of them were incomplete, like that of Sheckel and the rank 3 knight who dealt the last blow to her mutant form.

Other ghosts were somewhat complete, like the ghosts of the rank 3 sergeant who Black Knife killed. The inquisitors asked these ghosts various questions and used their answers to confirm what they knew or suspected.

After doing this, they moved on. The next place they went to was the destroyed base of the lamp bearers. But when they were busy investigating this site, Bushwick came over with more than a hundred soldiers to attack the lamp bearers.

Bushwick was on a horse. He was armored and wearing a giant sword on his back.

He was also flanked by many knights wearing armor. The two sides confronted each other immediately they met.

Most of the people in Bushwick's army were rank 1 godclads, while the weakest in the team of lamp bearers are rank 3 godclads. So the lamp bearers weren't afraid despite being outnumbered 7 to 1.

The leader of the inquisitor came forward and said to Bushwick with a cold face, "Why are you in a hurry to die? You should let us complete our investigation so that everyone that worked with you will go down with you."

Bushwick replied by waving his hand forward and shouting, "Fire!"

Waves of arrows flew around and converged on the lamp bearers. In response, the leader of the executioners stepped forward to cut any arrow that approached. The two sides began fighting immediately.

Legion was in Reinfield City enjoying themselves. By enjoying themselves, they were training without any concern. As long as they are growing stronger, they will enjoy themselves.

But they did pause their training. They paused to go to the bank because it had been three months since they last received a dividend from Tesla.

They went to the bank that they made an account with to check their account balance. When they got there, they found out that 132,495 gold had been deposited in their account by Tesla Corporation.
