Grand Dad Is The Pervert God
Chapter 175: Violet’s Bait

Chapter 175: Violet’s Bait

All eyes turned to Christiana once again, the air taut with anticipation.

They waited—not just to hear her judgment, but to read between her words. Every noble present, whether minor lord or heir of a grand house, wanted to know: ’Who would claim the Yellow Anchor Stone?’

Christiana stood with poise, her gaze calm yet commanding.

"All the families here—great and small—serve the Almace Kingdom," she began. Her voice was steady, but each syllable struck with precision. "I would like to believe that the Yellow Anchor Stone, should it be found, would be used for good."

There was a pause.

"Therefore... the first family to obtain it may keep it."

A wave of murmured joy spread through the tent. Nobles turned to one another, whispering excitedly behind hands, some already calculating possibilities, others basking in the idea of walking out as victors. It was a rare statement of neutrality—one that promised true competition.

But Christiana’s lips curled slightly, and the look in her eyes darkened.

She was not done.

"But," she said slowly, letting the word hang in the air like a blade, "bringing the Yellow Anchor Stone out of the dungeon... is not something I can promise."

Silence crashed into the tent like a hammer.

Every smile faded. Every whisper halted.

Her gaze was icy now, sweeping across the hall like a judge reading the condemned.

Everyone understood the message buried beneath those words. The hunt was fair. The race was open. But if the Yellow Anchor Stone was claimed by someone other than Christiana or the royal family...

They would not leave the dungeon alive.

It was not a threat. It was a certainty.

A calm voice broke the tension. Serra of Blackmark stepped forward some more, her bald head reflecting the flickering lantern light, her eyes sharp and cold.

"We have already determined how this expedition shall be divided," she announced,. "According to the survivor, the dungeon possesses two entrance paths once in. Each begins with a puzzle—solving which summons abominable creatures."

She allowed that to sink in.

"Slaying these creatures is not merely survival," she continued. "Their corpses contain essence of the Anchor Stone. We advise you to harvest them. Every drop counts."

Then she turned slightly, unfolding a scroll.

"For the sake of structure and strength: William Icemake of the Six-Winged Phoenix Family will partner with the Royal Family. While Violet Saul of the Fanged Earth Tiger Family will partner with Luke Isaac of the Three-Legged Crow Family."

Gasps rippled. Eyes widened. It was a clear division of power.

William’s family was already known to be the strongest here, and could only be met in strength by the royal family.

Clearly, the royal family were increasing their odds of conquering the dungeons.

But before Serra could roll the scroll shut, Violet scoffed loudly.

"I disagree," she said, her voice sharp as a blade unsheathed. "I do not want to be roped into the same squad as this... weakling."

She didn’t glance. She stared—directly at Luke.

"You’re practically hoarding all the manpower. And I don’t babysit dead weight."

A few nobles chuckled nervously. Others froze.

Serra stepped in calmly. "Luke commands an army from the Three-Legged Crow Family," she stated. "A Grand Duke family. He is not without strength."

"Bullshit," Violet snapped. She turned her body fully toward Luke, eyes ablaze with challenge. "In the dungeon, titles mean nothing. Power speaks. And if you force me into the dungeon with him—I will kill him myself before we reach the second puzzle."

Christiana’s brows furrowed. A flash of irritation sparked in her expression. "But I thought the Three-Legged Crow and the Fanged Earth Tiger families were allies?"

Violet stood, her posture defiant and proud, chin tilted ever so slightly.

"They are," she said without hesitation. "But I am no friend to a man who schemes to steal what does not belong to him."

Everyone knew what I meant. Luke was not supposed to be heir.

Not many knew this, but Violet, this young violent woman managed to have one friend. One she cherished above all.

In fact, she was the reason she had worked hard as much as she had, and even agreed to come on this mission.

Yes. It was none other than Luke’s wife, Alexis. However, since her illness took a drastic turn and Alexis was locked within her grandfather’s walls, Violet had never been able to see her friend again.

She’d send letters. But no doubt, they were not getting to Alexis. She’d ask to visit, but visitors were not allowed.

When she saw Luke today, she had wanted to cut him down on the spot.

But of course, she was still representing her family, and the Yellow anchor stone was the first priority.

But that did not mean that she could not lure him into a fight. Fights amongst heirs happened a lot in noble circles.

This way, people will not say that she intensionally killed him in the dungeons, she coukd just do it here.

Violet’s insult was the last straw.

Luke’s face twisted. The disrespect, the mocking, the constant belittling—it reached boiling point. His fist clenched, and he spat a sharp curse. "You whore-blooded savage—"

Before his words could even finish echoing, Violet’s gaze snapped to him.

Her smile was wild.

"Oh?" she purred, rising slowly from her seat. "It seems you think you’re strong."

Her eyes gleamed with dangerous amusement. "Can you back that with strength?"

Luke stood now, fists trembling. His pride was already battered. He was a noble—his blood was royal by marriage—and this woman, this brute, dared to speak to him like a dog?

He knew she was stronger. Everyone knew. But she wouldn’t attack him here, in front of everyone... would she?

He was wrong.

Violet had been waiting for this moment.

In the blink of an eye, she twisted into the air like a serpent striking prey. Her motion was a dance of fury and precision. Steel sang from its sheath, and her sword came down for Luke’s head like divine judgment.

Gasps. Shouts. Chairs scraped the ground.

But it was too late.
