Chapter 77: Chapter 77 Sun Meteorite Gold, Sunburn Crystal

"Is this the last batch?"

Noah watched the backs of the departing paladins fade from view and turned to look at Sifreya, who also looked utterly exhausted, and asked softly.

"Yes, according to the registration records of these paladins, this is indeed the last batch of them."

Sifreya answered meticulously, her every action making her seem like an exquisite clockwork doll.

"Then they should be back soon. Once they return, we can go back up the mountain."

As Noah’s words fell, Sifreya’s previously dull and lackluster eyes instantly brightened. Not only her, but the two Great Fairies and a group of Little Fairies couldn’t help but cheer.

While the taste of power is enticing, the problem is that this group of fairies only experienced the oppression of power and never its conveniences.

Therefore, even if they were deprived of power, they didn’t feel any regret. Instead, they longed to return to the mountain and resume their free and idyllic life among the flowerbeds.

"It’s not over yet. Stick it out until the end, and then it’s not too late to celebrate after it’s truly over."

Noah reminded them.

Upon hearing this, all the fairies became dejected again but had to continue working diligently.

However, with the gradual withdrawal of the paladins, Noah’s tough days were indeed coming to an end.

This period of governance, glorious to speak of, was actually exhausting for the young dragon and only taught the Golden Dragon how difficult it was to manage a territory with a population in the millions.

Even the notion of diligence nearly wore a dragon out. Achieving any remarkable governance was not something that could be accomplished overnight.

Noah hadn’t reached the level of control over the Augustus family’s territory where he could formulate policies independently. Maintaining its operation required the assistance of Tidel, the undisputed first inheritor.

"Little dragon, you’ve had a tough few years. What reward would you like?"

During her near five-year tenure at the front lines leading the war, Lady Selena had already exhausted the rage she unleashed when her partner was assassinated, and now she appeared refreshed and in high spirits, speaking with good nature.

"My deep sleep period is approaching, and I think I need an inheritor-level gemstone."

Having endured nineteen years of life, Noah chuckled cheekily at the words, his dragon mouth wide open. Hearing this, Selena rolled her eyes sarcastically,

"Kid, your appetite has grown too big over the years. An inheritor gemstone? You dare ask for it? I want one too, but there’s nowhere to find it!"

"If there’s no inheritor gemstone, a dozen or twenty perfect gemstones will do. I’m not picky."

"Little dragon, do you think I raided the Ancient Dragon Nest?"

"Not the Ancient Dragon Nest, but I’m sure the ancient dragon nests have been cleaned out!"

Noah didn’t believe that his aunt was broke; as the victor of the war and with her partner being a Dragon Slayer, the spoils were beyond imagination.

"From a fallen Black Dragon, what treasures do you expect in its dragon nest? If you really want something, I can give you the Black Dragon’s head that Casius chopped off."

Selena suggested with a smile.

"I can’t handle that!"

Noah immediately refused, having no thoughts of taking it. This was a Black Dragon that had fallen into the Path of the Undead. If its head started causing trouble, even a Molten Evil Ghost couldn’t match it, and Legends would struggle to deal with it.

"Aunt, if you don’t want to give anything, then forget it. I don’t really need it. I can just munch on dirt to fill my stomach when the time comes. It’s not a problem for me to transform into a juvenile dragon after all, just like those poor Colorful Dragons did to make it through. I think I can too."

"What nonsense!"

Hearing Noah’s pitiful remark, Selena tapped him on the head,

"When did I ever neglect you? Look at you. Here’s your gift and reward. I’ve prepared them for you early on."

As she spoke, the Extreme Intent Mage took out two radiant objects, sealed and controlled by dense runes, from her personal storage space. The air was so hot that the surrounding moisture evaporated, and nearby objects began to combust.

"What’s this?"

The heat, enough to set the air ablaze, had no effect on Noah. Instead, the Golden Dragon felt languid, like soaking in a hot spring in days past. He stared at the objects the Extreme Intent Mage held with wide eyes, astonished.

"Solar Meteorite Gold and Sunburn Crystal, discovered in the Black Dragon’s lair, though I have no idea which ruined plane it picked them up from.

I think they suit you very well. Although they are more appropriate as an adulthood gift, I believe giving them to you sooner is better."

Selena’s tone was nonchalant, but the Golden Dragon couldn’t hold back any longer and pounced forward because these two divine materials were comparable to inheritor gemstones in a sense.

Solar Meteorite Gold and Sunburn Crystal, born from the moment of the sun’s collapse, a time of destruction. The former could be used to forge a divine artifact, and the latter was a concentration of the Power of the Sun.

For those who needed them, these two objects had a value that surpassed the inheritor gem.

"Thank you, Aunt!"

Noah couldn’t conceal the joy in his voice. He genuinely hadn’t expected his godmother to be so generous, giving such divine items as gifts.

If it were his real mother, he wouldn’t even consider it, as these were treasures even Ancient Golden Dragons wouldn’t part with. Golden Dragons, being Fire Attribute True Dragons, were an excellent match for these divine materials.

"You can take these two treasures early, but I have a condition."

Noah’s entire dragon self was practically winding around the Solar Meteorite Gold, a strip of crimson and nearly white metal, ten meters long and over one meter wide at its narrowest part, exuding power that captivated the Golden Dragon profoundly.

"What condition?"

"You can leave, but these little ones must stay to help me."

Selena pointed to the cluster of shivering fairies, large and small. The sun cast its radiance from the heavens above, a blessing for Plant Elves, but too close, and it spelled destruction.

"Well..."

His mind filled with joy, Noah still remained rational and somewhat cautious.

"Don’t worry, I just want them to assist me in handling official duties. You have trained them well, and I’ve heard of their reputation in the Valley of Flames. I greatly need their assistance."

"Alright!"

Without any regard for the fairies’ miserable expressions, Noah agreed readily.
