Chapter 364: Chapter 230: If You Don’t Retreat, I’m Going to be Promoted Again
"Amazing!"
Noah looked down at the shattered mountains and rivers below, unable to stop himself from marveling.
The Blazing Sky Divine Servant stood in the Heaven, tore through the World’s Garment, and delivered a strike that ended the battle instantly, leaving the Immortal King wounded and unable to fight any further as he fled in haste.
Indeed, even after being beaten like this, the Immortal King still wasn’t dead. His vitality was so tenacious that Noah didn’t know how to comment on it.
Even so, Ophelia had already completed her task of descending to the Lower Realm, as the Death Angel beside the Immortal King had been purified by the residual power of the strike, with its twisted soul taken along.
With this strike, Noah had a full understanding of his powerful father-in-law, definitely a Divine Level power. The so-called Divine Servant was a trick for fools.
Such power that not many Divine beings could wield; to interfere in the Material Realm would reduce any power above Legend level by more than ninety percent.
He shouldn’t be called a Blazing Sky Divine Servant at all, but instead a Blazing Sky God; what Divine has the right to have him serve? Great Divine Power? There simply isn’t any Divine of that level present now.
"Hmph! Now you know how powerful my father is, right?"
Hearing Noah’s marvel, Ophelia instantly looked proud, with a face full of honor.
"Of course, our father is indeed powerful, almost indistinguishable from the Divine."
The Angel’s flame avatar had disappeared, and Noah extended his Dragon Claw towards the Angel,
"When will you take me to visit the Heaven?"
"What do you mean by our father? That’s my father, not yours!"
Seeing Noah’s shameless expression, Ophelia drew her sword sheath and struck Noah’s extended Dragon Claw hard.
"Given our relationship, isn’t your father my father? What’s the difference?"
Even though a few scales were knocked off, Noah didn’t mind at all. He hooked the Angel’s waist with one hand and pulled her into his embrace.
"That’s not what you just said."
Ophelia didn’t resist.
"What did I just say?"
"You addressed my father as Your Excellency and even looked down on him..."
"I didn’t, don’t make things up, I have always been very respectful to our father."
Noah corrected the Angel in his arms with a solemn tone.
"You only respected him after you just saw my father’s true body in action, right?"
"No way, I’ve always respected him a lot, it’s just that now I respect him even more."
"Since you respect so much, I’m ready to go back to the Heaven now, why don’t you come with me, I’ll introduce our father to you."
Ophelia didn’t continue to argue with Noah’s rebuttal, but went along with the suggestion.
"This... now is not a very suitable time, maybe later!"
Noah’s expression froze, and his words carried a sense of evasion.
"Didn’t you just ask when I would take you? I’m ready now, why don’t you want to go anymore?"
Ophelia inquired curiously.
"Because I feel that your father doesn’t view me very favorably."
After a moment’s silence, Noah spoke honestly,
"With my current strength, if your father isn’t pleased with me, has opinions about us, I wouldn’t even have the courage to say no!"
"You’re making assumptions about my father again. I’ve told you he isn’t like that."
Hearing Noah’s concerns, Ophelia was immediately displeased.
In her heart, her father’s image had always been radiant, majestic, and sacred. But Noah’s concerns clearly suggested he viewed her father as harsh and narrow-minded.
"It’s different; a Monarch, a father, these are different identities, from different perspectives, making different decisions and naturally exhibiting different attitudes."
"Noah, I don’t want to argue with you anymore. In that case, let’s speak with facts: come back with me and see for yourself how my father will treat you."
"No way, if I go now, I’m afraid I wouldn’t even have the chance to regret it."
Seeing Ophelia growing emotional again, Noah added,
"Instead of me going, why don’t you go back and see for yourself how your father’s attitude towards you this time differs from last time."
"It’s not going to be any different than before."
"If there’s no difference at all, then come down again, and I’ll go to the Heaven with you."
"Don’t you think this is troublesome?"
"I think once you go up this time, you might not get a chance to come back down for a while."
Noah sighed.
The union of a Dragon and an Angel can’t be said to be particularly rare, but he and Ophelia were definitely not the first. However, given their status and position, if not unique, they were certainly very few.
Initially, Noah felt that facing Ophelia’s father, who was supposedly a Blazing Sky Divine Servant, shouldn’t be a big deal—he only felt a bit underqualified in terms of status, considering the son-in-law and father-in-law relationship.
But now, it was obvious that the disparity wasn’t just about status, the gap in strength was way too glaring. His father-in-law’s power was absurdly strong, way beyond expectation.
Given the circumstances now, how could Noah muster the courage to meet the Angel father-in-law, no matter how nicely Ophelia put it? After all, that was from a daughter looking at her father; who knows how many filters were applied?
If he went, it would be a son-in-law meeting the father-in-law; could that be the same?
