GOD OF ALL SYSTEMS
Chapter 56 - 56: The Conqueror

It has been a week since the Gate incident, and with the world's peace reformed, numerous news networks went back to work, bombarding TV channels and the world with news on an hourly basis. Especially about King Tech and the now famous Patrick Alexander King, and the executed demon god disguised as the president of the United States.

Among the barrage of released news was also the mass recruiting of awakened warriors by King Tech; this news made it quickly into the top five most addressed, since hundreds of millions of awakened warriors globally were currently either already under King Tech or were contemplating it.

"I must say, Jessica, the offer made by King Tech is quite irresistible—an unlimited life, health, home, and auto insurance for recruited members and their families. They are granted mecha droids and weapons and lifetime protection by King Tech."

"And according to collective evidence from some already recruited warriors, there isn't a rank limit, so even F-ranks can enlist, and the starting salary is five million, and even better, that number will increase as they contribute and increase their levels."

"With these alone, not mentioning the two hundred other listed benefits, no awakened in their right mind would reject such an offer. I might even fake being awakened and apply myself." Said a man at a news conference in Metro City.

"Hahaha, I don't think that would be possible, Rick, especially when it's a technological oligarchy like King Tech."

"But this will surely tip the balance of power if the scales weren't tipped enough already; King Tech already has the world in their palms, and after this plan of recruiting hundreds of millions of awakened warriors is successfully executed, it won't be an overstatement to say they own the planet. And they have yet to reveal their advanced medicines in two days."

"Such a monopoly of power transcends that of Genghis Khan, Alexander the Great, and even Napoleon combined."

"But with the appearance of this unknown figure known as Patrick Alexander King, would King Tech have to divide its power? Or will there be a power struggle between them?"

"That is an exceptionally good question. But as much as we are all employees of King Tech, we must be realistic here; Patrick Alexander King has displayed power equal to being a god, capable of defeating hundreds of millions of awakened warriors instantaneously; King Tech recruiting an army of awakened will not make much of the stir we are expecting."

"Well, of course, but with the knowledge to integrate mana with technology and even the transformation of mana to electricity, would it not be rational to assume King Tech has greater inventions still up their sleeves, unknown to the world? After all, their mechas and guns proved useful in the gates and against demons and monsters, whilst all former traditional weapons failed.

So, let us give our employers some benefits of the doubt now, shall we?"

"Well, regardless of what action either side intends to take, we the mundane folk can only pray neither side wishes world tyranny."

"Nevertheless, ladies and gentlemen, moving on, we will be addressing the conference meeting of the United Nations being held at the U.N. headquarters right now. Sources say this meeting is meant to decide the next course of action by the world leaders and for the future."

United Nations Conference Meeting

"This is outrageous! First, we had to contend with King Tech and their secrets, and now there's an even greater threat, Patrick Alexander King? What is the appearance of these two spells for the future of our planet? What if they decide to engage in a war for power?"

"I concur, the only way we, as citizens of this planet, would feel safe is by demanding whoever this Patrick Alexander King is to make himself known to us and declare his intentions. He may have brazenly executed the president of the United States, who just happened to be a demon. But does that mean he is on humanity's side? We do not know for certain."

Two representatives expressed with heated faces as they slammed the wide desk with folded fists.

Among the group of mature individuals on the platform, sitting before thousands of onlookers, was Victor Cage, the general who led the combined armies against Patrick Alexander King. He sat with folded arms and shut eyes, his mouth twitching occasionally but subtly as he listened to the inexperienced whining of the representatives.

As they spoke of Patrick Alexander King, only one scene endlessly replayed in Victor Cage's mind, and that was the silver-haired Patrick's expressionless face before being pulverized by his mere exhale. The embarrassment of him not even being able to land his attack before his pathetic death left an overwhelming PTSD on his psyche, one where his body trembled every time Patrick's name was said.

Annoyed by the words of the mundane humans who knew little to nothing about just how dangerous the person known as Patrick Alexander King was, Victor couldn't help but interrupt.

"You both are uttering words like outrageous and brazen, yet you sit in a room protected by hundreds of awakened... Tell me, how exactly do you plan on dealing with a being that can wipe out the entire planet? I don't blame you; what would cowards like you who have ever only held butter knives know about war?"

"What did you say?! How dare you speak to us like that? You are quite the big talker, considering it was you Americans who invited him to us in the first place, and, might I mention, pathetically lost to him too."

The room suddenly became intense as Victor's overwhelming SS rank energy enshrouded the entire conference room. His energy descended on everyone like falling mountains, causing many to instantly lose consciousness. The representative in question froze with despair as his body ceaselessly drenched with sweat.

But then, an elderly man, also being suffocated by Victor's pressuring aura, galvanized his mana energy and regained a little bit of composure as he hurriedly interrupted.

"Gentlemen, gentlemen, let's all calm ourselves. Mr. Cage, please be mindful of how you exercise your power; if it weren't for our current dire situation, we would have had to vote against your position as representative of the U.S. As you just committed a capital offense."

"And also, for you two, I understand what sense of threat you think this Patrick Alexander King presents, but until we have a clear statement from Patrick Alexander King himself expressing his intentions, we must refrain from expressing any hostile intent or comments. Unless you think you can challenge him personally."

The scene regained some relief as Victor retracted his pressuring aura. But despite the SS rank pressure gone, the two representatives on the platform kept bleeding beads of sweat upon the man mentioning Patrick. His name sent an even greater dread in the men's hearts as they recounted the scene of Patrick easily massacring billions of humans and then resurrecting them like a god.

If even someone like Victor Cage, an SS rank awakened with decades of experience, was publicly murdered like that, who are they to even dare comment about him? Thinking about their earlier words, the men trembled with horror as numerous thoughts breezed through their minds, like what if Patrick arrived here to kill them? Would anyone be able to even stop him, let alone save them?

Sensing the awkward silence, the elder man heaved an exhausted sigh and continued, "Apologies for that, ladies and gentlemen. Moving on…"

...

Currently, twenty thousand feet below sea level, in the thalassic castle, Ludwick stood in the throne chamber as he displayed a realistic image of the solar systems, and the King Tech buildings constructed on the various planets of the solar system.

"As instructed, the conquering of the remaining planets was a success; however, we discovered a race of gaseous beings inhabiting the planet of Jupiter; they call themselves Gasians, and their gaseous states allow them to naturally exist within the planet.

They were resistant at first, but after deploying the King XZ droids, which adapted to their environment, we conquered them and their planet. I have already built branches of King Tech on the other seven planets, with Jupiter getting completed in twelve minutes."

"As for the recruitment of awakened warriors, we, as King Tech, currently hold the most awakened warriors on the planet, with over eight hundred million and rising; at our current pace, we estimate to have 3.8 billion awakened warriors by the end of this month."

"Of course, naturally, several nations like the B.R.I.C.S. and the U.N. have established their disapproval of our action; some have even tried using our British connection to apply pressure on us, but since Metro City is an independent state, their actions are fruitless...

The Dasian King wanted to also intervene in the matter, but I quickly reminded him why Dasia Kingdom was the only nation unaffected by the gate overload despite not having a single S rank."

"With the combined resources of all eight planets and from the scattered remains of Pluto, our production cost will reduce by three million percent, and an annual profit increase of 968.9 trillion pounds, and this is just the first fiscal year. We should expect double and even quadruple times this number in four years' time."

Ludwick seriously reported, his face not twitching the slightest despite calling such astronomical amounts and conquering planets and the solar system.

Finished speaking, Ludwick made a respectable bow to Patrick and Athena sitting on their thrones.

Athena sat with crossed legs, wrapped in a large white blanket; her hair was messy, and her cheeks had a reddish color. She held the blanket with her hand over her chest, covering her breast area.

Patrick sat, wearing a long black leather trouser and a black long robe with gold designs. The robe was open, revealing his chest area and refined body muscles, with his bare feet firmly stationed on the ground as he listened to Ludwick.

Despite his boss and lady being in such unprofessional attire, Ludwick remained unfazed, not even attempting a peek the least.

Having heard Ludwick, Patrick commented, "Great job, Ludwick. Now, meet my wife, Athena. Patrick said, gesturing a hand towards Athena.

Ludwick made a greater bow upon being introduced to Athena, "It is at my greatest pleasure to meet you, lady Athena King."

"Hmm…" Athena made a slight nod, acknowledging Ludwick's salutations.

Done with their gestures, Patrick paused a while before saying, "As someone who has worked for me for three years now, we both know wealth, status, and power mean nothing to you, so tell me, Ludwick, what would you like as your reward?"

Hearing Patrick's question, Ludwick hesitated at first, his lips parting but with nothing coming out. He was about to say something when his mind suddenly replayed flashbacks from that scene a week ago, the day he realized his boss, Patrick Alexander King, was a being comparable to that of a god.

'I, Dylan Ludwick, was born in Scotland, but with an alcoholic and abusive figure as a father, my parents divorced, and my mother and I were forced to migrate to England, particularly Dasia Kingdom, Metro City.

Being in a world of awakened humans and monsters, us mundane humans are ignored and discarded, treated as means to an end and third-class citizens. Due to the massive disparity in society between the rich and the poor, I couldn't afford my mother's medical fees, which cost millions after she fell into a coma due to mana overload. Maybe that's why I feel so connected with Natasha Page.

I lost my mother that year and was later fired from the job my mother's friend helped me get. Left with no job or powers to enter Gates, I was forced to be homeless since the lower workforce required at least F-rank awakened to even qualify for manual labor.

But everything changed that night when a young man stretched his hand towards a starved, illness-stricken, and forgotten me. If it were not for Sir, I would have died that night, and my corpse would have rotted there in the homeless alleyways of Metro City, never to be even buried properly.

Not only was I clothed and fed, but Sir also even made me the managing head of a company he was launching, and since he was yet of age, I had to represent him as the public figure.

And later, with Sir's genius and otherworldly intellect, and with the help of the almost human-like artificial intelligence he created, Alpha, King Tech went on to become what it is today, a conglomerate worth hundreds of trillions.

I had always thought the young sir to be too mysterious and unrealistic; his intelligence, manner of speech, and even attitude—it's as if someone who has lived for countless centuries. And even sometimes his predictions end up becoming true, almost as if he orchestrated them himself. But my thoughts were only suspicions until last week.

Seeing the Sir display power transcending even that of an SS rank and billions of powerful awakened, not to mention the combined forces of all the nations, I realized my suspicions weren't as false as I thought but were even transcended.

If it were a week ago and the Sir asked me this question of what I wanted, I would have asked for something mundane and ordinary like powerful technology or something even worthless. But now, after seeing his true power, asking for immortality wouldn't even be as surprising anymore.'

Ludwick's silence ticked for almost ten seconds, Patrick and Athena not interrupting the young man from making his request. But then, as if finished speaking, Ludwick raised his head and spoke.

"Sir, as we now live in the magical age of awakened humans, demons, monsters, and even... gods, I would ask for nothing more than Sir's assistance in making me an awakened." Ludwick said, his voice resounding in the throne room.

Looking at Ludwick, Patrick gestured a slight nod; he then said, "Seilia," and upon calling the name, the transparent figure of Seilia materialized next to Dylan Ludwick, her childlike figure hovering next to the bowing Ludwick.

"THY GRACE… requested my presence, I present thy humble self to your summoning," Seilia said, her childish but serious voice echoing in the chamber.

"Hmm… Ludwick, meet Seilia; she is the core essence of this planet; in your understanding, just call her Mother Earth." Patrick said to Ludwick, gesturing to Seilia.

Hearing this and raising his head, Ludwick was met with the magnificent and transparent figure of Seilia. A look of disbelief washed over his face as he made a gentle bow towards the little girl. "Pleased to meet you, young mother earth."

"Seilia, please make Ludwick an awakened human. And once that is completed, I want the entire planet as my employees, so announce that we will make them awakened if they sign a lifetime contract with King Tech.

And Ludwick, release the awakened boosting serums; they will have little resistance in signing the lifetime contracts once they hear of the upgrading serum."

"As you wish sir," "So sayeth the God beyond."

Ludwick and Seilia replied simultaneously, both bowing to Patrick.

Seilia then raised her head as she said, "My Lord, I wish to bring to your attention the predicted crisis that would befall the planet in the coming future."

Listening to Seilia, Patrick nodded as he said, "I know; that's also why I called you. Of course, with the eradication of demons and monsters and with everyone about to become awakened, world peace is already achieved. But the arising problem would be the question, "What now?"

And for that, I have decided, there are more worlds, realms, and universes out there. The omniverse and verses beyond may be quarks in an atom to me, but to them, it's infinite, with infinite realms and timelines, as are the enemies.

So, connect this dimension with other dimensions where there are demons and monsters, or maybe even the Hell realm; citizens of this planet would be able to traverse multiple dimensions and advanced their powers and abilities.

But all this must be done over time; as this planet is yet to become a type 1 civilization, they must first accomplish being a type 5 civilization before introducing them to the infinite multiverse, let alone the metaverse or xenoverse, or they would just be wiped out the instant you attempt that right now.

You will survive, but it would become annoying if the citizens can't even protect themselves and their home world."

Patrick said, his words etching in Seilia's mind like welding words to a metal wall.

"So sayeth the God beyond."

"Good, now Ludwick, prepare for my arrival in two days; its time the world knew their conqueror and grand king."
