GOD OF ALL SYSTEMS
Chapter 49 - 49: Safest Place on the Planet

Metro City, Dasia Kingdom

For some reason, even though the fact that the world currently plunged into chaos, Metro City was safe and calm.

There could be no monsters found within the cities of Dasia; well, to be precise, there were multiple gates spawned within numerous locations in the city and kingdom, but for some undiscovered reason, the monsters were barely leaving the gates when they were instantly vaporized from existence.

At Metro City Square, there was a massive A-rank gate continuously spawning countless monsters and demons. The monsters ranged from tiny venomous pythons to gigantic flying bats, which screeched with powerful shock waves upon emerging from the gates.

But the instant the monsters emerged from the gates, a loud mechanical sound resounded as a laser downpour blasted the monsters, immediately vaporizing them into smithereens.

Standing a few hundred meters away from the gate, over three hundred awakened warriors stood witness with disbelieving faces as they watched the scene. Seeing the endless emergence of calamities and knowing every single one of them was B-rank or above was quite a terrifying fact.

But what was even more terrifying was how these powerful monsters were being easily and autonomously massacred, regardless of rank or size.

"Oh my God! Am I in a dream? Are those monsters really that easy to kill?"

A male awakened within the group watched with widened eyes as he expressed what everyone thought.

"To think a single laser blaster from King Tech is killing A-rank demons with such ease. Is King Tech that powerful?!"

"Good thing they are on our side, or else Metro City would be a barren land of corpses by now!"

"At this rate, Metro City is the safest city on the planet!"

"Metro City? No, it's the whole of Dasia Kingdom that's the safest place on earth right now. I'm so proud of being Dasian, I don't even regret not signing that contract with the U.S. guild anymore."

A B-rank male awakened said as he breathed with relief.

"You are lucky kid; the U.S. is a total mess right now."

Another mature male awakened said to the B rank young man, alarming him of his fortunate choice of not leaving Dasia.

....

At a news station in Metro City, Jessica Bakes was live on air.

"Seeing the unfortunate overloading of Gates worldwide, it comes as no surprise because ninety-eight percent of all other news stations are down right now.

But we, as citizens of Dasia Kingdom, must express our utmost gratitude to none other than King Tech. If it weren't for their competent interference, Metro City, no, all of Dasia would have been dust and ashes right now, as no country would risk their safety by sending their S-ranks for that of ours.

But today's calamity has shown us who we should align our loyalties with. King Tech hasn't only shown great generosity and magnanimity but has pioneered the evolution of humanity through technology. As you can see, dear people, not only is King Tech assisting us, but they are also answering the desperate cries of almost every nation on the planet.

And all this is done without asking for a single penny."

"Well, Jessica, to be fair, money means nothing to these people. What use is there in giving someone money when they are the god of it? It would be like adding a drop of water to the spacious ocean."

"Hahaha, well, nevertheless, we are blessed with the privilege to laugh right now; we might as well savor it. Anyway, we can only hope to see what groundbreaking inventions they have prepared for next week's medical department grand opening. Perhaps a cure for cancer or even STDs?"

.....

King Tech Head Quarters

Another place that was more peaceful than anywhere in the world was King Tech HQ. While the world roamed with demons and monsters alike, the employees of King Tech were unbothered with it, despite the massive screens displaying the countless cities worldwide being flooded by monsters.

On the contrary, they were busy with their daily tasks and orders. A woman wearing a King Tech uniform stood with technologically advanced headgear as she watched the chaos happening outside. Despite the gruesome scenes, the woman remained calm and unworried, even when she had a wedding ring on her finger.

"It is getting worse, isn't it?" A male coworker walked next to the woman. As he said, he was also wearing headgear and a uniform, the only difference being the skirt and trousers.

"Yes, it is. But I can't help but be amazed at how secure I feel despite not being awakened and the world being in such a state. It's as if there is no chaos or monsters; it's quite strange, don't you think?" The female asked her colleague while maintaining her gaze on the screen.

"Not really; you are an employee of King Tech, the leaders of humanity, let alone the planet and solar system. Not feeling fear or panic is the most natural thing you should be experiencing right now." The man said, but he also looked at his wedding ring on his finger as he sighed. He then continued.

"But I understand your point; the fact that our families are out there in this chaos, and we are not worried about it is indeed quite strange. But that's the benefit of working for King Tech, I guess. With each employee's family members being insured with advanced safety robots capable of going toe-to-toe with S-ranks, who wouldn't feel completely safe and unbothered?"

The man said, his face assuming a vibrant smile as he walked past the woman and continued with his tasks.

Seeing the man walk past her, the woman digested the man's words as she also sighed with relief. She then turned and looked up, and a person's face came to mind: Dylan Ludwick.

....

Up on the highest floor of King Tech HQ, Dylan Ludwick stood with a serious face as he watched the thousands of droids' camera feeds pop screens within the room. He turned to a particular droid's camera feed beside him; on the feed, it states Nathasha Page, the reporter he had encountered regarding his assassination. Seeing her health status at one hundred percent, he reacted with satisfaction.

He then turned to the other screens and spoke.

"Alpha, what's the status of the protection of all King Tech employees and their families worldwide?"

<+ One hundred percent, Mr. Ludwick. All monsters within a ten-mile radius of all King Tech associates are fully protected from any disturbance or danger +>

"Good, maintain that percentage. Increase the pace. I want the presence of monsters on the planet reduced to zero in the next five minutes. Deploy droids to North and South America and the other continents, their percentage of demons doesn't seem to be reducing anytime soon."

<+ Copy, deploying five million droids to Asia, America, and Russia. +>

Ludwick nodded as he watched millions of droids launch from HQ and vanish into the skies, heading for their respective locations at ultra-fast speeds.

....

Watson Family territory,

"Why the fuck of all places, a C-rank gate decided to appear in the middle of my property. Fucking hell."

Julius Watson said as he ripped the head off a dog-like monster. He then turned as he pointed his fingers at a group of tens of demons and said, "Explode." Upon his command, the group of ninety-eight demons all exploded, their remains flying across the scene.

Seeing the scene, Julius couldn't help but react with disbelief after seeing the amazing power the gloves he was wearing displayed. He again inspected the gloves, speaking his mind.

'This is the power of an SS-rank treasure? Not only does it aid my mana control and boost my attack damage by several folds, but it also allows me to use powers and abilities that are completely outside of my awakened power; it's almost as if I am four awakened in one.'

Julius expressed himself internally; he then turned and looked at his son, Joseph, and subordinates who were also easily slaughtering demons with the help of their newly gifted treasures, which all happened to be S-rank and above.

"With all our debts paid and properties reclaimed in merely a day, the Watson family is back to its previous strength. And with the thousands of S ranks and above treasures, it's safe to say my Watson family is now the strongest family on the planet, even stronger than nations at this point.

With over five thousand S-rank and above treasures, each capable of catastrophic damage and causing massive impact regardless of who wields them, I now have five thousand three hundred S-ranks within my family, including myself. And on top of that, there's Athena and that man, my son-in-law.

At this point, comparing the Watson family with any organization other than King Tech and King's family is a joke, as we have transcended the planetary level. Sigh~ What am I even saying? I would be dead if it weren't for him. What was his full name again? ... Nah, I will just call him King.
