GOD OF ALL SYSTEMS
Chapter 25 - 25: Total Erasure. The Launch

It was currently 10 PM, and the night sky of Metro City was illuminated by the bright brilliance of the full moon. A soothing breeze swept the city, refreshing those punished by the blazing sun this afternoon. The trees danced to the swaying breeze, some losing their summer leaves to the wind as it swept them away like a boat on a wavy sea.

One particular leaf from a peach tree got detached from its home branch as it casually got swayed left and right by the wind until it was abandoned at the doorsteps of a prestigious and expensive building.

The building was illuminated to the sixtieth floor, and at the very top of the building was a huge black and blue symbol of a knight's helmet with dark stripes across as its eye shield. Below the helmet symbol were two words: "Shadow Knights"

Outside the building, the leaf lay there abandoned, but just as another wave of the nightly breeze was about to sweep it away, a black boot stepped over it, crushing it to pieces. The human foot walked on the leaf as he proceeded to the entrance of the building. Although blurry, the human figure seemed very tall, at least 6'5" tall.

And he seemed to be wearing a white baggy hoodie with "Bored to Death" stylishly designed on the back in graffiti ink, and a long black trouser.

The hooded man steadily walked away from the crushed leaf as his figure disappeared into the building.

Inside the building, a young lady with a top fade haircut sat at the registry desk seeming to be busy on the computer. Sensing that someone was standing over her, she ignorantly questioned, her focus still on the computer, and her tone full of entitlement and pride as a member of the Shadow Knights Guild.

"Welcome to Shadow Knights Guild, what do you want?"

But instead of the usual hurried answer from others after entering the most powerful A-rank guild in Dasia Kingdom, the woman received no answer this time. Forced to divert her attention from the computer, the woman raised her head as she looked at the man standing before her in silence.

A look of amazement and awe, struck the lady as she instantly assumed a lovely smile after seeing the man, who was angelically handsome yet carried a devilish ambiance to him. The man was tall and wore dark glasses which were strange considering it was night and yet this man was wearing extremely dark sunglasses as if it was day.

The woman was about to say something when the man spoke, his words replying to the woman's previous question.

"I'm here to wipe out the Night Shadows" The man's words were calm and certain, and although he spoke lightly, his words reached the Awakened ears of almost every Awakened warrior on the first floor.

The woman, hearing the man's words, instantly lost her charming smile as she cautiously rose from her desk and faced the man with an antagonistic expression. As if daring the man to repeat his words, the woman questioned again, her words sounding very articulated. "What... did... you... say- Boom!

Before the woman could finish her words, her entire chest got punched through, leaving a massive hole in her chest area, and her heart and other chest organs flying across the hall as they splattered on the wall like meat paste. The impact on the wall caused the booming sound.

The sudden boom sound caused the building's alarm to go off, and as expected, heavy mechanical doors began sliding down as all the entrances and exits in the building got sealed. And as if that wasn't enough, multiple Awakened of at least fifteen stood guard at every door or entrance while the others rushed to the site of the commotion.

....

On the first floor of the Shadow Knights Guild, Patrick stood by the registry desk with hands in his pant pockets as he witnessed over a hundred Awakened hastily rushing to his location. He held a carefree expression as he patiently awaited the assembling of the Awakened warriors from the many floors:

Indeed, within a minute, the first floor of the Shadow Knights Guild was stacked up to the point an ant wouldn't even have space to move without being squashed to death. And not only the first floor, so was the same for the first fifteen floors of the building.

The Awakened warriors finally came face-to-face with the person causing the commotion, a tall young man with sunglasses, surrounded by at least five hundred C-rank Awakened and above.

From among the gathered Awakened, a man in his late thirties, donned in golden luxurious armor, wielding a long sword over his right shoulder, confidently walked closer to Patrick carrying a daring and mocking attitude as he spoke, his words relayed with a condescending tone.

"You must be either extremely strong or arrogantly stupid to walk into our Shadow Knights Guild and cause trouble. And since the boss isn't here, you gonna have to settle with me being in charge; so, as the reasonable person I am, I will give you the chance to explain yourself before I erase your pathetic self from this world.

It would help with our publicity to tell the press the motive of the person who dared to cause trouble for our Shadow-" The man couldn't even finish his words when he got interrupted by Patrick. "With the absence of Laniz Blake and Julia Arimor, this should be the complete roster of the Night Shadows. I should start the eradication then."

"!!" Patrick's words left the man speechless but with an annoyed expression. The man tightly gripped his left fist as he spoke threateningly. "First off, it's called "Shadow Knights", not "Night Shadows" and second you are dead-"While about to finish his sentence, the man heavily swung his long sword as a wave of black energy released from it and launched towards Patrick.

But contrary to expected reactions, Patrick remained immobile as he stared at the incoming sword energy attack, and surprisingly, like an illusion, the sword energy attack went through Patrick as it struck twelve members of the guild, killing them instantly.

Seeing this, the man assumed a furious expression as he bellowed. "KILL HIM!" Upon their leader's command, all the Awakened warriors in the building launched at Patrick, all with rage-filled eyes as they aimed to shred him to pieces.

_

Patrick was still standing in the same spot he was when the Awakened warriors launched at him. But unlike Patrick, everything else was the complete opposite of how they were:

Blood dripped all around the interior of the now-demolished building, and electricity sparked from the cut cables and wires, the once-furnished and prestigious building of the Shadow Knights Guild was no more, only crumbles of it remained, and its members either turned into meat paste of blood or separated into countless segments, but regardless of how different the situation is now compared to previously, one thing for certain was the guild known as the Shadow Knights Guild, was no more.

Within the demolished crumbles of what's left of the building, the golden-armored Awakened lay with only his upper body remaining as he continuously blurted out blood from his apertures. His long sword deeply plunged into his chest like a pinned paper to a board. But suddenly, the man's body levitated from the ground as it steadily floated and hovered before Patrick.

"I called it the Night Shadows because after tonight, your guild will be nothing but shadows faded into the night, never to see the light of day." Upon Patrick finishing his sentence, the Awakened warrior's body exploded like a balloon, with not even a microscopic fragment of human remains or blood coming within an inch of Patrick despite how close he was.

And like that, the most powerful A-rank guild in Dasia Kingdom was erased in one night, but as for how long it took, well, time is not something that can be applied to the person that caused it, so let's just pretend it took him a second to completely eradicate them all, not counting the time he walked in and chatted with the desk lady.

"Alpha?"

<<<<< Already done, Sire. All information and data about the Night Shadows have been erased from the internet. Other than their previous reputation, the Night Shadows no longer exist. >>>>>

"Good, and Grace, can you please do me the honor?"

"Yes, Master." Grace sounded as the scene became completely cleared, leaving only Patrick in a barren land, which was once occupied by the Night Shadows.

"Alright, that's it for tonight, I should get some sleep... I wonder which of my three thousand residences I should sleep at tonight, maybe I should sleep at the one built on Mount Everest...

or the one on the Moon..., the one on Mount Everest shouldn't be bad." Patrick spoke as he lazily walked away from the scene, his figure slowly fading into the darkness of the night, leaving behind a barren land of over ten miles, this same land that once occupied the most powerful guild in Dasia Kingdom.

_______

The following morning at 7 AM, in a middle-class neighborhood, a middle-aged man brushed his teeth in front of a square-shaped mirror as he hummed and swung his head happily. He seems to be preparing for a big event today, as for what that is, only he knows.

But while the man wallowed in his happiness, the bathroom door opened as a woman hurriedly rushed in, a look of shock and desperation on her face as she hastily cried. "Honey! Don't you have an appointment with the Shadow Knights Guild today?!"

The man, startled by his wife's action, held a doubtful face as he replied. "Yeah, why? Is that why you are this excited, I thought you already knew-" But before the man could finish his sentence, his wife interrupted again.

"Come quick, you need to see this, something has happened, it's on every channel!" Like a desperate man in distress, the man's body flashed past the woman at a fast speed as he disappeared from the bathroom. From the man's previous action, one can summarize the man being an Awakened.

The wife rushed behind her husband, her speed significantly slower than her Awakened husband, she later arrived in the living room where a fifty-two-inch television displayed the current news; sitting below the TV was a two-year-old girl childishly playing around.

The Awakened man stood with a devastated look plastered on his face as he attentively stared at the television screen, wanting to absorb every information being put out over the news.

On the news: "... the disappearance of the most powerful A-rank guild in the Dasia Kingdom, Shadow Knights Guild, comes as a complete shock to us all. Additionally, we have credible investigators currently at the site and they just confirmed there has been no contact with any guild members.

Just what could have caused this, there weren't any reports of Gates twenty miles in the vicinity, let alone monsters, and there aren't any signs of there being a catastrophic battle anywhere, so how exactly could such a big event occur without notice?"

The man, not believing the news, hurriedly discovered the remote as he switched to another channel.

"... The sudden and mysterious disappearance of the Shadow Knight's Guild is not only threatening, it should serve as an alarm to citizens of Metro City; could it be that there are now monsters capable of completely wiping out guilds without leaving a single trace, and even erasing them from the internet at that?!..."

Again, doubtful of the news, the man switched to another channel.

"... With how big this mysterious event is, should we expect the involvement of the W.A.O? And when they get involved, do we have to worry about them keeping the results of the investigation from the public and terming it as classified information? They have done it plenty of times with other cases of Gates and Awakened Warriors...

These are issues we need to start addressing now before our fears become true!..."

With a look of absolute despair and deniability, the man switched to another news channel.

"... We know people are usually doubtful of us and call our news conspiracies, but we think the Shadow Nights Guild must have offended someone powerful this time, I mean think about it; how is it possible for an A-rank guild such as this, to disappear from the face of the planet- and the internet, in a single night? Do you think I'm lying?

Search for the Shadow Nights Guild and see for your selves, not even their previously uploaded Gate-hunting videos can be found, let alone their main web page.

So, here is the big question, just who did the Shadow Nights Guild offend that the repercussions led to their extinction?!"

It doesn't matter what news channel the TV was tuned to, every station reported about the Night Shadows, their mysterious disappearance causing confusion and panic to the public, depending on the perception.

The man in the living room was stuck in a bewildered expression as he stared at the screen in shock, but the wife suddenly turned off the TV as she fearfully spoke, her words hinting at worry and warning. "Honey, I think we shouldn't associate ourselves with this guild, I mean look at how they disappeared without a single trace.

As much as I appreciate you sacrificing so much for our family, I don't want the price to be your life. Please promise me you will be careful, for me and our daughter."

"... Yeah, I promise." The man said, promisingly hugging his wife while looking at his daughter, happily unaware of reality.

_______

London

In an extremely wealthy castle-like home far from the city, over ten people stood in a spacious living chamber decorated with manly charisma. From the lack of furniture in the room despite being a wealthy home, one can assume the room belonged to a man.

Among the twelve standing people were four wearing long gowns and holding long staffs with crystal balls attached to the top. One of the people, an elderly man, stood next to the triple-sized queen-sized bed as he relayed something to a man lying on the bed immobilized.

"Young master Blake, your body is in quite a precarious state. All your Mana cords have been severed, and your accumulated Mana energy core shattered, your bones were completely pulverized, almost liquified.

We have tried everything, even the healing power of an S-rank was unable to change anything, it is even a miracle that you are still alive and can speak, might I ask what caused-" The doctor was interrupted by the young man lying on the bed. This man being none other than Laniz Blake.

"You are telling me we have eleven of the most experienced doctors and Awakened healers in the world on our payroll, yet none of you fools can even figure out what happened to me or how to fix it! How useless, get the fuck out!

All of you pathetic fools, OUT!" Laniz Blake bellowed in anger as the elderly doctor and his entourage of ten quietly vacated the chamber, none voicing out not so much as a cough to be disrespected.

With the group of doctors gone, only a woman remained in the room, this woman was Julia Arimor. She stood not far from the bed as she worriedly stared at the quiet Laniz Blake breathing with anger while staring at the sealing. "Do you also want me to leave?" Julia questioned with an expecting gaze. "Yes, especially you, leave!" But without even a thought, Laniz replied coldly.

Even though she already expected it, Julia Arimor painfully nodded as she turned around and began heading for the door, her eyes silently dripping with tears.

The chamber became silent again since only Laniz Blake was in the room. But as if already aware of something, Laniz Blake spoke, his words directed at someone he seemed to know very well.

"When I said every one to get out, that included you too, Lania."

Suddenly, a womanly figure appeared from thin air as she spoke. "You are quite the cold-hearted monster, I know you don't care about the girl but do you even have to kick out your baby sister?" The woman stood 5' 10" tall and had an erotically fit body. Like her brother, she was fair-skinned and had black hair long enough to reach her shoulders.

She had sharp sexy eyes and seductive lips on black lipstick. In summary, she was pretty.

The woman, wearing an all-black manly suit steadily walked towards her brother while fiddling with something in her hand. "I wonder how you noticed me. See this pen? I'm trying to make something similar to the Presence Erasing Pen created by King Tech, it's still in its developing phase but compared to King Tech, it's not even worth mentioning.

I wonder how they could make such a reality-defying invention."

"I didn't need detection essence, I know your mischievous nature well enough were you are predictable." Laniz Blake spoke emotionlessly.

"... Anyways, in case you are wondering, father is busy as usual and mother traveled to France for some charity ball. But I'm curious, what exactly caused your current situation? I know this wasn't done by an Awakened, because with your arrogant nature, you would rather die than tolerate such humiliation-" "-That's enough!" Laniz interrupted.

Seeing her brother's reaction, Lania Blake smirked mockingly as she continued. "You may be intolerable, but you are still my big brother, so I will allow your rudeness. Also, I have a surprise for you, your little side project... what was the name again? Shadow Nights right? Yeah...

you might want to buckle up, cause you are NOT gonna like this one." The 22-year-old Lania clapped twice when the slide opened on the roof, a long black cane mechanically dropped down as it produced a translucent screen. The screen turned on as it displayed the news about the Night Shadows.

One second at a time, Laniz Blake absorbed the information, and as the second passed, his facial expression gradually changed from calm to doubtful, from doubtful to frowning shock, and finally from shock to blazing rage. "ARGGGGG!!!!" Laniz Blake thundered in pure rage as she stared at the illusionary screen.

Even though he was deprived of his Mana powers, he was still an Awakened warrior, his bellow just now caused the cane displaying the illusionary screen to break instantly.

Laniz Blake turned to his sister, his eyes washed with killing intent as he commanded.

"TELL FATHER I AM RETURNING TO THE FAMILY. AND PREPARE MY STRONGEST VESSEL, IT'S TIME I USE MY CLONES!"

_______

Mount Everest

On the coldest mountain in the world, with a current temperature of -80℃, a castle made of pure crystals stood built into the mountain.

The castle only showed three stories outside, but if scanned, one will notice that the castle was built to fit into the entire mountain; just how wealthy must one be to own a castle made entirely of rich crystal minerals from Gates, and even better, for that castle to be built within a 30,000 ft (8850 m) mountain.

Lucky for some, they don't have to imagine, because they know only one person capable of such creativity, Patrick Alexander King.

Within the castle, everything was white, from the ceiling to the floor, walls, and all, everything was white, regardless of the item.

In the very spacious living room of the crystal castle, Patrick lay in a bed ten times the size of a Queen-sized as a white ball of energy with golden dotted eyes displaying a realistic 5-D image of the news being reported worldwide.

<<<<<< Sire, there is a call from Mr. Ludwick. >>>>>>

"Answer."

-"Good day, Sir. I called to inform you of the completion of the Medical Department, requesting permission to announce the launch.-"

"Proceed, and send out the invitations."

-"Already one it, Sir. Anything else?-"

"No, you have done well. Continue the good work."

-"Thank you, Sir, I will never disappoint you."-

"Good," Patrick spoke as he dropped the call. "Grace? I need you to do me a favor."

"Anything for you, Master."

"Well, it's time I begin my romantic life."

"I was wondering when you plan to start that."
