44: Chapter 44, Cheers to this beautiful view!
Fang Yi had no choice but to get off his bicycle, looking at Shen Binnan with annoyance, “What now, you want to invite me in for a cup of tea?”
Unexpectedly, Shen Binnan actually nodded.
“I was just saying, you don’t have to be so polite,” Fang Yi said.
But Shen Binnan had already turned and walked towards the mansion.
Fang Yi hesitated for a brief moment, then decided to follow her in.
It wasn’t as if he was entering a dragon’s den or a tiger’s lair.
Even if it were a case of seduce first, kill later, so be it, being ravished by Shen Binnan was fine.
If she wanted to hurt him, that was a different story altogether.
Shen Binnan had no idea about the wild thoughts in Fang Yi’s mind.
Once inside the villa, Shen Binnan sat down on the sofa in the living room, and a middle-aged female housekeeper came out.
“This is Auntie Wang, my housekeeper,” Shen Binnan said.
Auntie Wang looked at Fang Yi and smilingly asked, “Young man, what’s your name?”
“Fang Yi.”
“You are quite handsome,” Auntie Wang praised.
Fang Yi’s mood instantly improved, “Auntie Wang, only you have discerning eyes.”
Auntie Wang, slightly embarrassed, said, “Oh no, if anyone has discerning eyes, it’s Miss who sees things most clearly.”
Fang Yi, expressionless, cast a sidelong glance at Shen Binnan as if to say: Really?
At that moment, Shen Binnan said, “Auntie Wang, please pour us two glasses of water.”
Auntie Wang went to get the water.
Fang Yi gazed at Shen Binnan’s long legs propped up, his eyes lingering on her legs.
Still wearing her OL uniform suit, that black tight knee-length skirt.
Although Shen Binnan had her legs propped up, revealing not a hint of anything more, it still couldn’t stop Fang Yi’s imagination, wondering what kind of tempting view lay beneath.
“Is it attractive?” Shen Binnan suddenly asked, her tone still cold.
Fang Yi was used to her icy tone and replied, “Attractive.”
Shen Binnan said, “Want to have a good look?”
Fang Yi looked at her incredulously, “Are you that kind?”
“You guessed right, I’m indeed not that kind, just teasing you,” Shen Binnan said.
Fang Yi: “….”
“Here’s the water,” Auntie Wang said, effectively breaking the awkward silence.
However, she too sensed the strange atmosphere between them and thought to quickly leave but was stopped by Shen Binnan.
“Auntie Wang.”
“Miss, do you need anything?”
“Auntie Wang, could you please get the light grey suit from the wardrobe in the bedroom next to mine?”, Shen Binnan requested.
“Alright.” Auntie Wang promptly left.
On the other side, Fang Yi watched Shen Binnan with hesitancy, unsure of her intentions.
Soon Auntie Wang was back with the suit, which she handed to Shen Binnan.
Then Shen Binnan stood up, approached Fang Yi, and tossed the suit onto him.
“What are you doing!” Fang Yi was increasingly unable to read what this woman was up to.
“You will stay here tonight.
Later, when you return to your bedroom, try on the clothes.
Tell me in advance, and I can let Auntie Wang make some adjustments for you,” Shen Binnan commanded in a tone that brooked no argument.
Fang Yi was utterly baffled.
He had no clue what this woman was up to, and Auntie Wang was equally surprised.
She knew Shen Binnan’s habits well; she never allowed men to stay overnight in the villa, except for Shen Binnan’s father, Shen Hongyang.
Fang Yi said, “Before I do all that, you might want to clarify what’s going on.”
Shen Binnan replied, “There’s a tender meeting in the city tomorrow.
We need to be there early.
Any other questions?”
Concise and clear!
Fang Yi said, “I think, maybe I understand.”
But Shen Binnan didn’t say anything more and went straight upstairs.
Fang Yi muttered to himself that this woman really didn’t care about others’ feelings.
He turned to Auntie Wang and said with a smile, “Auntie Wang, where’s the bathroom?
I’d like to take a shower first.”
…
…
Fang Yi entered the bathroom wrapped in a new towel and a bathrobe Auntie Wang had found somewhere.
As he stepped in, he muttered under his breath, “Rich people’s bathrooms really are different.
This woman really knows how to enjoy life.”
The decoration of the bathroom was extremely luxurious, more sumptuous than some middle-class families’ living rooms—truly Golden Splendor, with chandeliers and washbasins.
Fang Yi glanced at the bathtub big enough for two people, a truly luxurious tub.
Fang Yi walked up to the mirror above the washbasin.
There was a cup for rinsing, a toothbrush, and a tube of toothpaste, presumably used by Shen Binnan.
Suddenly, Fang Yi had a mischievous thought.
If he used this toothbrush to brush his teeth, Binnan certainly wouldn’t know, would she?
A wicked idea formed in Fang Yi’s mind, and he devilishly imagined the scene the next morning when Binnan would use this very toothbrush.
“Forget it, Binnan, consider yourself lucky.” In the end, Fang Yi dismissed such a shameless idea.
But if Binnan knew he had such thoughts, she would surely fight him with all her might.
After showering, Fang Yi, dressed in a bathrobe and holding his clothes, came out to find Auntie Wang waiting for him, and she led him to the bedroom that had been prepared for him.
“By the way, Auntie Wang, which one is Binnan’s bedroom?” Fang Yi asked before entering the room.
“What are you up to!” Auntie Wang immediately became alert.
Even though she knew Fang Yi was Binnan’s personal bodyguard, you can never truly know what’s inside someone’s heart.
What if he planned to sneak into the young lady’s room in the middle of the night?
Fang Yi immediately understood what Auntie Wang was thinking and said with a wry smile, “Auntie Wang, I’m just asking.
I wanted to chat with her, if you won’t say then never mind.”
…
Thump thump thump!
Someone knocked at the door.
Binnan had already taken a bath in the adjoining bathroom, changed into her pajamas, and was getting ready to sleep when she heard the knocking.
Without needing to guess, she knew who it was.
Binnan, wearing slippers, opened the door…
“Before my bed, the moonlight is so bright, I wonder if it’s frost on the ground, looking up I gaze at the moon above, my head bowed in homesickness…”
Binnan almost looked expressionless at the guy who, with one hand behind his back, paced back and forth imitating a poet reciting verse, suddenly feeling a deep sense of weariness.
“You’re out.” Fang Yi beamed.
Binnan crossed her arms and said coldly, “Can’t sleep?”
Fang Yi nodded eagerly, “The long night is endless, with no urge to sleep, so I went for a walk.
Before I knew it, I found myself in front of your bedroom door.
There’s a song lyric that goes somewhat like this: Tonight I find myself at your door again…”
“Shut up!
Stop singing!” Binnan finally couldn’t help but shout, “Other people get paid to sing, your singing costs lives!”
“No, I think I sing quite well,” Fang Yi said, extremely self-admiring.
Binnan rolled her eyes and said, “You just want to flirt, right?
Fine, I’ll indulge you!”
…
The villa’s rooftop wasn’t the triangular design of a typical cottage, but flat.
There were tables and chairs, clearly a lovely spot for enjoying the night view.
Several bottles of red wine were on the table, and the two sat side by side, facing the front of the villa, with the dense night scene in full view.
But Fang Yi’s attention was clearly not on the scenery.
Fang Yi’s gaze occasionally darted stealthily towards Binnan.
She was wearing a red silk slip dress, her porcelain-white arms smooth as lotus roots and slender shoulders shining.
The V-neck of her top was quite low, even showing the edge of her black bra.
She held a glass of red wine in her hand, with one leg crossed over the other.
Her long legs were round and firm, perfectly straight and full of elasticity, and her delicate feet were as white as sheep’s fat jade, incredibly alluring.
“It’s really beautiful,” Fang Yi couldn’t help but sigh.
“What?” Binnan did not catch Fang Yi’s sneaky glances.
“Oh, I meant that the night view here is really beautiful,” Fang Yi said, feigning wonder.
Binnan did not doubt him and after a moment of silence said, “Can you tell me about your experiences abroad?”
Fang Yi sighed, “Let bygones be bygones, let them go with the wind.” As he spoke, his eyes sneakily flitted again to those alluring long legs—he could never get enough!
Binnan then said, “Thank you for what you did for my parents.”
Fang Yi withdrew his gaze, smiling, “So you’re not as cold as you appear on the outside.” Warm on the inside.
Binnan replied, “I’ve always been like this.” She offered no explanation.
Fang Yi nodded and said, “Come on, cheers.”
Binnan asked, “For what reason?”
Fang Yi thought for a moment and with a double entendre said, “To this beautiful view, cheers!”
…
Early the next morning, Fang Yi got up.
Auntie Wang had prepared a toothbrush and toothpaste for him.
After washing up, Fang Yi saw Binnan was already sitting in the living room having breakfast.
He immediately walked over and sat opposite her.
“Today’s tender is very important to me, don’t mess it up,” Binnan said.
“I’m just your humble lackey, what could I possibly mess up,” Fang Yi said with a smile.
After breakfast, Fang Yi took the keys to drive the car out of the garage and then took Binnan away from the villa, heading toward the city center.
