Global Lords: Hundredfold Increments Starting With the Undead -
Chapter 1448 - 1018, Lord of Flame
The sudden explosion of clothing left Fang Hao somewhat caught off guard.
Although his relationship with the Dragon Queen had improved greatly, it was limited to holding hands and kissing.
More excessive actions, Fang Hao would occasionally try, but the Dragon Queen always stopped him.
This breathtaking scene before him was something he was witnessing for the first time.
Fang Hao looked her up and down, lingering for a few extra moments on certain special areas.
Noticing his gaze.
The Dragon Queen's skin even began to blush.
Which only made her appear even more delicate.
"Keep staring, and I'll gouge out your eyes." The Dragon Queen turned her back to him and retrieved a new long dress to put on.
Nisbit, being an undead summoned from the void, lacked the thoughts of its previous life.
And certainly had no desires or thoughts of living creatures.
Not wearing clothes to them was like not bringing gear—utterly irrelevant.
However, Fang Hao was the only one looking intently.
More seriously than he did when studying in school.
Upon hearing the Dragon Queen's words, Fang Hao earnestly defended himself, saying it was normal for a person to be drawn to beautiful and wondrous sights.
Even though he explained himself, he didn't dare blatantly continue staring.
But truth be told, the Dragon Queen's figure truly was astonishing.
Her proportions seemed perfectly allocated by design—the places that ought to be full were abundantly so, and the areas that should be slim had smooth, graceful contours.
If she weren't the Dragon Queen, she would surely have countless suitors.
The Dragon Queen soon changed into a light blue long dress and returned.
Her face still blushing, she shot him an angry glare and said, "If you dare tell anyone, you're as good as dead."
Fang Hao lowered his voice and said, "I won't, but I have to admit, you have an amazing figure."
The Dragon Queen glared at him fiercely again.
After the enormous Thunder-eating insect died, the dark clouds in the sky began to disperse gradually.
Though there were still layers of clouds, they weren't as dense and oppressive as before.
It resembled normal overcast weather instead.
It seemed clear that the gloomy skies had been caused by the Thunder-eating insects.
Their numbers dwindled further, and the remnants were busy fighting each other rather than bothering Fang Hao and the group.
A Nisbit swiftly headed toward a distant pit.
From within, it retrieved four Divinities belonging to Demigods and handed them to Fang Hao.
The four Giant Demigods didn't even get a chance to utter a word or unleash a single skill.
They had been slain by Fang Hao.
Their deaths were undeniably frustrating.
Yet obtaining four Divinities was already an enormous reward.
Despite fighting side by side for so long, this was the first time they had gained such a bounty of Divinities all at once.
Upon returning, whether to use them personally or to cultivate new Demigods, these would undoubtedly strengthen the territory.
One could say the gains were tremendous.
Even without the treasure chest rewards, these four Divinities alone made the journey worthwhile.
After storing away the Divinities, Fang Hao said, "Let's go. Let's head into the city first and check whether there are any dangers left inside."
The group proceeded over mounds of insect corpses.
Clearing out any straggling insects along the way, they marched further inside.
The entire city wall had already been reduced to ruins by Fang Hao's lightning pillars.
There was no gate or wall to speak of anymore—just rubble they could step over directly.
Despite the colossal noise, no new enemies emerged from within.
This led Fang Hao to speculate that there might not be any adversaries remaining inside.
The group cautiously stepped over the city walls and entered the city.
...
Meanwhile, near the outskirts by the entrance.
Rippling distortions appeared, and the Transmigrators of the Divine Power Alliance, who had left earlier, came rushing back in a sorry state.
Abandoned armor and weapons, their bodies covered in wounds.
"Why are those ogres so quick to act?"
"Their numbers are overwhelming; we simply couldn't break through."
"We should've teamed up with that big-shot from earlier. That beast-horned woman by his side surely could've broken us out of there."
The Transmigrators of the Divine Power Alliance had exited the overlapping space just as Fang Hao instructed them.
However, shortly after leaving.
They encountered hordes of ogres.
The crazed ogres attacked them relentlessly, without fear of death.
After a brutal battle.
Losing a portion of their forces, they retreated back inside.
The group collapsed to the ground, panting heavily.
This dungeon crawl was an utter disaster.
People had died, and they hadn't gained anything noteworthy.
"Do you think those ogres might find the entrance and charge in here too?" someone suddenly asked.
The group busy bandaging wounds and drinking water froze, their faces instantly turning grim.
This wasn't an actual dungeon; it was a space connecting two dimensions.
There was indeed an entrance.
If the ogres discovered it and stormed in, another battle awaited them.
"I suggest we go find that big-shot. As long as we stick near him, we should be safe."
Although they had only spoken to the black-haired Transmigrator earlier, the beast-horned woman hadn't approached.
But the sheer intensity of her combat display had been witnessed firsthand.
Even if they didn't see her stats, her rank had to be above Orange-tier at the very least.
The others nodded in agreement.
"That guy seemed pretty approachable; it shouldn't be an issue."
"Do you guys think he might be Fang Hao? Other than Fang Hao, what other Asian would be this powerful?"
"Probably, but what's he doing here?"
The Alliance Hierarch mulled it over, realizing they couldn't stay here any longer.
The losses this time had been far too severe.
"Alright, let's head out now and find that guy. If we encounter danger, we'll come back here."
"Agreed."
"Yeah, let's gamble on it."
The group responded in unison and stood to head out.
Just as they were about to move.
Suddenly, a powerful light illuminated the distant sky.
A massive lightning pillar, shimmering with electrical arcs, descended from the heavens.
The entire space trembled violently, and the sky seemed to be torn open with an enormous rift.
As the light dissipated, everyone stood frozen in place.
With dry throats, they silently swallowed—no one moved.
After quite some hesitation, the Alliance Hierarch finally said, "Perhaps we should stay here and wait. The ogres might not even find the entrance."
"Alright."
"It's pretty safe here."
The group lowered themselves back down, falling into an uneasy silence.
...
Crossing over the debris of the city wall, they entered Giant City.
The streets were expansive, and the buildings towering and immense.
Walking beneath the architecture, they couldn't help but feel a sense of oppression.
The entire city was desolate. The only sound was the echo of their footsteps.
"It seems the Giant civilization wasn't any less advanced than our current age," the Dragon Queen remarked while surveying the structures.
"According to the archaeological records of the Elf Clan, the age of the Giants was remarkably glorious. Their expertise surpassed that of all the contemporary races," Fang Hao shared, flaunting his knowledge from the records.
"Then why did they perish?"
"No idea. It wasn't documented."
The group entered an adjacent building, where objects inside had already succumbed to decay. Even the metal artifacts were corroded with rust over time.
The Dragon Queen casually picked up a few items to inspect, then tossed them aside indifferently.
"The craftsmanship is excellent, but the time lapse is just too long."
"These aren't useful for us. If you like, I'll have someone make new ones for you when we get back," Fang Hao offered outright.
The Dragon Queen nodded, sending him an approving look.
After exploring the room briefly.
They found no items of value and returned outside.
Fang Hao glanced at the Book of Lords for the time—it was evening now, and judging by the regional channels.
The torrential downpour in the area had significantly subsided.
They had spent quite some time exploring here.
Deciding not to inspect other nearby buildings, their focus shifted towards the city center, where the tallest and grandest structure stood.
From outside the city, they had assumed the structure extending to the heavens was a towering spire.
But now, within the city, they realized it was an enormous palace.
The section reaching the heavens was merely its towering spire.
They approached the building directly.
As they neared the entrance, Fang Hao raised his hand to halt the group's progress.
"Stop!"
Everyone froze, their gazes fixed on the front.
At the entrance of the hall.
On a crimson throne, a giant clad in heavy armor and wielding a massive sword sat.
His hair and beard flared like burning flames.
His left arm rested on the throne's armrest, while his other hand held the giant sword, its tip planted in the ground.
He remained seated in a motionless, eyes-closed posture.
[Lord of Flame – Farnar (High God)]
A High God?
That a High God was guarding here truly caught Fang Hao by surprise.
Even with all the chaos of the recent battles outside.
The High God didn't budge, sitting still like a lifeless statue.
Moreover, his title...
Lord of Flame.
It didn't sound as intimidating as those "God of Something" titles.
"Do you think he's dead?" the Dragon Queen whispered.
She was clearly curious why someone stayed seated through all the commotion.
Fang Hao softly replied, "No. His personal stats are still visible. He's alive—a High God."
"A High God? Right here?"
"Yeah."
As the two softly exchanged words, the Lord of Flame on the distant throne slowly opened his eyes.
His gaze swept across the group, finally settling on Fang Hao.
"No one shall covet the power of a god. Intruders shall be incinerated into ashes by the flames," the giant declared.
His body erupted with a vast and overwhelming divine aura.
Fang Hao's eyes narrowed instantly, and he shouted, "Farnar, your body can't move!"
The Lord of Flame's slight movements froze abruptly.
The Dragon Queen sprang into action, shooting towards the giant in the blink of an eye.
The chain hammer in her hand swung straight towards the giant's head.
The duo's coordination was impeccable—they had executed this kind of maneuver countless times before, becoming nearly instinctual.
As the chain hammer descended, the Lord of Flame's body regained mobility.
He transformed into a streak of fire and vanished from the throne.
Boom~Crash!
The chain hammer smashed into the empty chair.
The sheer power caused the ground below to cave in, triggering a fierce eruption of dark flames.
In the next instant, the Lord of Flame reappeared amidst the blaze.
His massive sword rose, glowing with crimson light.
Whish~Swish!
Just as he prepared to bring the sword down, a thread of silk dropped and wrapped around his body.
The Dragon Queen swung her chain hammer again while several arrows already streaked towards him.
Boom~Boom!!
The floor beneath shattered in layers as the hammer struck, accompanied by deafening explosions that shook the surrounding buildings.
Massive blasts of air spread across dozens of meters, tearing through everything in their path like blades.
The Dragon Queen retreated quickly, creating distance while keeping her eyes fixed on the area where the Lord of Flame had been.
Two against one.
This shouldn't be too difficult.
"Let the flames consume all,"
A roar thundered from the dust and debris.
The Lord of Flame's aura surged forth once more, and his colossal sword swung with force.
Instantly, a tide of flames soared tens of meters high, rolling towards the group in an overwhelming wave.
