Girl Hero: Revenge on Goblins! -
Chapter 68 - 68 D25
68: D25.
The Path of Profession 68: D25.
The Path of Profession Even for a healthy Hero, if their head was bubbling all night long and they only managed to fall asleep just before dawn, they would still wake up feeling a bit sluggish.
“What should we do today, Sister Hero?” The little girl beside her had risen early, appearing quite cheerful.
Since she had decided to stay here for a couple of days, she’d naturally make the most of her time and have a blast with the Hero.
“I want to test how strong I am now.”
While stroking the girl’s silky hair, enjoying the smooth texture, the Hero pondered for a moment before speaking.
After yesterday’s conversation with her grandpa, she understood at least one thing.
She needed to become stronger than she was now.
Her grandpa had decided to entrust her with the family’s forbidden legacy, not so she would end up like him, living the rest of her life stuck in this small village.
It was because she had become the Hero.
Her father also said that she now had the right to pursue power.
As long as she continued hunting Magic Creatures and became stronger, she would one day defeat that Knowledge Hunter and free grandpa from the Cursed Binding.
Moreover, the Hero herself noticed that she was indeed growing stronger rather quickly, even to the point where she could hardly keep up…
It’s weird how she’s just been killing Goblins, right?
But to know oneself and the enemy is to win a hundred battles without loss.
Since she wasn’t very clear about her current strength, she just needed to find out.
Upon hearing this, the little girl’s wine-colored eyes watched her expectantly.
“A test, okay, I’ll handle the recording!”
She’d been wanting to see just how strong Sister Hero really was!

As a princess of the border, even if there were no lavish decorations on the little girl, her noble lineage was evident from her appearance.
But at this moment, she was just like a child of her actual age, her face filled with anticipation as she watched the Hero standing in front of the Wood Pillar.
And at her feet, the Gleaming Scale Serpent was also eagerly waiting.
They now stood at the back of a villa, in a clearing carved out of the forest.
Though overgrown with weeds, traces of past training were still visible, with horizontal and vertical slash marks on the ground, seemingly left by some sort of Magic; the specially designed anti-magic Wood Pillars were also not new, scarred and battered.
Was her father, years ago, honing his spellcasting here?
Although the Viscount Mansion also had such training grounds, they were undoubtedly more expansive and professional than this one, yet they were naturally places unrelated to the Hero.
With curiosity, the Hero examined her surroundings, while the little girl stood by with a notebook and pen, looking quite professional.
“Sister Hero, I’m ready anytime!”
“Alright, let me think…”
Upon hearing the little girl’s eager voice, the Hero was contemplating which form to use for the test or whether to borrow a sword from the Guards when the sound of the old man’s footsteps came from behind.
“Running out here right after breakfast, what are you two up to so early?”
Grandpa glanced at the two girls, one big, one small, then at the Wood Pillar, and a knowing expression appeared on his face.
After the Hero told him her plan, the old man unsurprisingly frowned.
“Stop testing, what can you measure in such a small place?”
Before they could show disappointed expressions, he continued speaking.
“Since it’s still early, hurry to town, any guild will do, even the Church, find a Profession you like.
“Your Level should already have met the requirements.
“Unbelievable that you haven’t reincarnated yet, relying on just the most basic Snake Transformation to kill Magic Creatures, this child…”
The stern yet sigh-filled gaze from grandpa caused the Hero to shrink a bit.
Reincarnation?
She honestly had not thought about this at all.
The little girl beside her wore a “why didn’t I think of that” expression, regretfully putting away her paper and pen.
“Um, about getting a Profession, do you have any suggestions, grandpa?” Confronted with such an unfamiliar dilemma, the Hero couldn’t help but seek advice.
“You have to decide that yourself, I don’t plan on interfering.”
Grandpa shook his head, seemingly still resentful over his son’s failure in upbringing.
“Don’t worry about the Knowledge Hunter issue, nor about your father or my preferences.
“If you like, becoming a warrior is fine too, although physical attacks won’t work on the Knowledge Hunter, at the next stage, you can still reincarnate as a Magic Swordsman, or simply buy an Enchanted Sword, grandpa will cover the cost.”
Grandpa gazed at the Hero, speaking earnestly.
“The path of a Hero is extremely difficult, so grandpa hopes, at least in this aspect, that you can choose a Profession you truly enjoy, so that seeking strength doesn’t also become a source of pain for you.”
“Grandpa…
I understand.” The Hero nodded earnestly.
Choosing a Profession that she likes…
“But remember not to be fooled by those Professional Tutors, they’ll go to any lengths to recruit talents for their guilds,” grandpa snorted.
A-talented?
The Hero, never having been described that way before, blushed slightly, showing a somewhat bashful smile.
“Besides, you have that Transformation, so there’s no need to worry about which Profession is strongest.”
