Girl Hero: Revenge on Goblins!
Chapter 42 - 42 D16

42: D16.

The Crawling Dark_2 42: D16.

The Crawling Dark_2 Only a Hero who had received a gift from Magic Power could act as if nothing was wrong.

“Why didn’t I notice it yesterday…” The Hero bit her lower lip in regret.

She thought the Little Girl’s flushed cheeks during their conversation were due to curiosity and excitement.

But now it seemed, it was clearly a precursor to being overwhelmed by stimulation.

As a result, after the Little Girl calmed down in the tent, fatigue swept over her all at once, knocking down her body and leading to her current high fever.

“We can only hurry to the next station now, we can’t delay anymore,” Guard C said.

But it was the coachman who denied him.

“There’s no medicine for this kind of fever at the station, unless we head directly to the next village.”

That would be the Hero’s hometown, where her grandfather lived.

“How long will it take to get there!?” Guard Ding asked anxiously.

“Even if we travel by empty carriage at night, it would still take till deep in the night,” the coachman said, shaking his head after glancing at the sky.

“The miss can’t withstand a whole day of jolting!”

“What can I do, I’m just a coachman, not the one who took your miss out.

“My two chocobos have already lost half their feathers, I haven’t even settled the loss, and now this mishap has flown in.”

The coachman couldn’t help but make a sarcastic remark, instantly angering several guards.

“You guy, if something happens to our miss—”

“—Stop arguing!”

The young girl’s tender voice could not intimidate these skilled Professionals.

But her plea, and her identity as the Little Girl’s friend, ultimately calmed the men down a bit.

“Sorry, we were too anxious,” the four guards lamented.

“But we are still far from the Border, and besides us, the miss has no one else to rely on, so we must think of a solution,” the loyal guards lamented their helplessness.

“No, no, it was thoughtless of me, look at my mouth…”

The coachman also wiped his cold sweat, lightly slapped himself; he was no match for so many guards, and even if he could fight them off, to what end?

He couldn’t kill them, after all, she was the daughter of the Border Count.

“Anyway, I’ll help any way I can, after all, we share the bond of having narrowly escaped death under the magic creatures.”

In an effort to salvage the situation he had caused with his words, the coachman tried to smooth things over.

The two chocobos also whistled softly, nodding their heads, their four shiny eyes looking worriedly at these passengers.

The Little Girl’s condition indeed could not be delayed.

The Hero could still hear her labored breathing from inside the tent, racking her brain for ideas.

Suddenly, a spark of inspiration flashed through her mind.

It was a legend she heard from [ ] while playing in the village as a child.

[Elf Rabbit R0]

An extremely rare magic creature…

Though so rumored, it is not exactly so.

True to its name, it is an embodiment of the mountain and forest spirits, only appearing slightly rabbit-like.

Unless one destroys the mountains or burns down the forests, this wondrous creature cannot be killed or confined.

Non-aggressive, merely curious, embodying the unknown and the marvelous, drawn to all that is unknown and marvelous.

When disturbed, it drops gemstones to distract attention before escaping.

The gemstones they drop are from the mountains and forests and, arguably, condensed from the essence of the world’s Magic Power.

Green gemstones can restore physical strength.

Red gemstones can heal injuries.

Blue gemstones can replenish Magic Power.

Purple gemstones can cure diseases.

Above these four types of gemstones, supposedly, there are even more precious kinds, Brilliant gemstones condensed from the essence of the world.

Silver gemstones bring Experience.

Gold gemstones increase attributes.

Multicolored gemstones grant Skills.

The legend of the Elf Rabbit once attracted countless Adventurers,

But the initially curious Elf Rabbit soon lost interest in humans due to their incessant arrival, eventually becoming almost unseen.

Only children at play occasionally glimpse them.

Children’s rhyme: “Little bunny so cute, gives a hop and scoots, hopping and sparkling so bright, truly a lovely sight.”

“Elf Rabbit, that’s a term I haven’t heard in a long time; I used to go up the mountains to try and catch one when I was young.

“It’s an old rumor, quite amazing that you know it so well, miss.”

Hearing the method proposed by the Hero, the coachman fell into an untimely sentimental mood.

“Those bunnies drop magical gemstones, I’ve heard of that, but I didn’t know there were gems that could cure diseases; did your elder tell you that?”

“Now is not the time to be curious about this.” Facing the man’s curiosity, the Hero shifted her gaze slightly.
